It's what you do with that creativity that can be.

Andrew Hussie of Homestuck fame has undeniably been slowly losing relevance even in the fandom of his major work. That I can't tell if this was half fueled by spite of that, or to satiate the people (myself included) who wanted more content primarily written by Hussie. It has all the charms of HS. An author self-insert? you betcha, pretentious writing and an almost preachy infantilization of the audience? you also betcha. It has everything.

If you're someone who is a leftist, or leftist adjacent and knows their theory and practice. Avoid this. every word is laced with a LARPy "let's kill all cops!" Marxian ideology. To the point where you can't tell if this is what Hussie is really trying to say, or it's just a huge critique on ideology itself. This falls incredibly flat when you realize that Hussie is not a part of the working class, is rich, and has exploited people working under them. So, what's the message?

A lot of the work is openly making fun and criticizing people like them, saying they're **** awful people, and whatnot. Now, this isn't new for Hussie, every work they've done has had this message at some point. But, in this work, it's supposed to be taken seriously, it's not a joke anymore. So, again, what's the message here? Hussie is an awful person who we should overthrow? #AndrewHussieIsOverParty them on twitter? Let Hussie just be because the internet is awful? Hussie and people like Hussie are good actually and we shouldn't be quick to grab the guillotines?

It wants to say all of these all at the same time, that every message's wires get crossed constantly. The story so badly wants to say something but fails almost constantly. By the time I got to the end I was still asking myself; What's the point, what are we saying here?
