    Just finished this and loved it. Totally brought me back to the golden years of graphic adventures like the Myst series. Devoured it in just two nights.

    The devs are another small team like the guys behind Stasis. They released a bunch of backstory chapters on the game's web site and did some videos on the story and the design.     Graphics are acceptable to good. Helped, I think, by a kind of unique aesthetic. For once you're not in a rusted out sci-fi setting. Even better, there's a reason that it's like that if you follow the story.

    Sound is great. Brought me right into the world. I had to adjust the music mix. They have sliders in the options and I turned most of it down to about half and left the music turned up. Would have been better to have it that way by default. Voices were solid to outstanding. Maybe one or two clunky deliveries out of the whole game.

    Puzzles are logical. Nothing felt random or unfair to me. Most are easy to medium difficulty except for one near the end where you have to build something in 3 stages. That third stage took a long time to figure out. The 'hacking' puzzles, in particular, were really good.

    On Steam, I saw people reporting trouble with the controls, but the devs must've hotfixed it pretty fast. I had no control issues at all. Would have been nice to be able to remap some of the keyboard controls, though.

    Nobody makes this kind of first person point-and-click game anymore. It was like a refreshing visit from an old friend who didn't overstay their welcome. Highly recommended. Would love to see another game from these guys.    … Expand

    This is an outstanding indie game, and I do recommend this game for those who are fans of point and click adventures, and a double -must have- if you love sci-fi/space ship environments. There are some amazing surprise events along the way, and I found myself saving often, hoping for easy replay of those events that just have that-oh wow i want to see that again- factor. The extra saves have been super helpful as I am still back tracking trying to get all the achievements. Some of the puzzles are really challenging (for me) so the best advice I have is don't give up! Because when you finally get that "Eureka!" moment & solve it, the reward is worth the effort and probably one reason why you like this genre to begin with :)… Expand

    Prominence isn’t so much a failure as it is a missed opportunity. With a narrative background about an oppressed people struggling to free themselves by pushing the limits of science and technology, the story is set up for success. But unfortunately, those possibilities are rarely explored in Prominence itself, making for a rather sterile narrative experience with sleek sci-fi surroundings.

    Prominence hearkens back to the glory days of first-person point and click adventure games. Its intriguing story will keep you digging through terminals to find out more. Not only does it look like a classic game, but it plays like one too. It’s a nice modern addition to our libraries full of old favorites.
