Dec 22, 2020Delightful plot.
Interesting puzzles and quests.
Terrible combat mechanics.
My rating would have been higher if the option to buy the Prey had not been removed for the sake of this game (i mean game from 2006). -

Jun 18, 2021Terribly boring, annoying all the time you have to look for something, everything is locked, enemies appers from nowhere, biggest enemies takes no damage, but makes tons of them

Aug 11, 2017This will make me sound like a wuss, but I can't stand the sound effects of the jump scares and enemies in general. Even when I can foresee a scare, having to listen to the banging in my headphones and being unable to reasonably dodge it just rubs me the wrong way.

Feb 28, 2018When Bioshock and Dead Space give each other a special hug you get PREY. Atmosphere and ambience are amazing, the weapon variety is solid, the shooting mechanics are acceptable and the graphics are above average. This game is worth at minimum a rental but I recommend a buy. 10/10 Would special hug again.

Nov 15, 2017Many of its elements never quite come together, so there’s no payoff. The clumsy human stories, the botched difficulty curve, the dangling gameplay threads, the pointless decisions, the cool 3D printer scavenging economy, the coral, the hunters, the various survivors who need saving. If I never had fewer than a dozen mana potions, what did it matter whether I did the quest to put mana healing into the water supply?

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jul 5, 2017Prey offers one of the best gaming environments in the history and builds on it its sophisticated, exciting, and unusually entertaining gameplay. A weaker story and sometimes too high difficulty does not change the fact that Arkane studios has once again produced something special. [Issue#275]

Jun 30, 2017A great game of action and exploration, with rich, interlocking mechanics. May be a little bit derivative, but a tonne of fun nonetheless. [Issue#263, p.56]
