    A pretty looking game but that's about it. The balancing is beyond laughable and the Predator feels more like the hunted. The inclusion of NPC enemies along with the Predator was a mistake, the objective should start as you are trying to leave after your mission rather than have it happen during. This had potential, but like Evolve, they couldn't figure it out. Maybe they will eventually,A pretty looking game but that's about it. The balancing is beyond laughable and the Predator feels more like the hunted.     So bought this on release to play with the wife after hearing it would be crossplay. Unfortunately, between the training mission right away and then trying to figure out how to invite her from PS4, i was over 2 hours and couldn't receive a refund. Now over a month of waiting, there is nothing even acknowledging if or when they are going to implement what was supposed to be there.So bought this on release to play with the wife after hearing it would be crossplay.     This is a nostalgic money grab.

    - there is no requirement to focus on the objective (go hunt the predator) - your account lvl / progression is global - so you can farm one side and then have the unlocks on the other. (awful decision) - 3 maps, basic 'missions' (that will inevitably get repetitive), potato AI - queue times are 'variable' (could be 2-20+ minutes, who knows) and you may    This is a nostalgic money grab.

    - there is no requirement to focus on the objective (go hunt the predator)
    - your account lvl / progression is global - so you can farm one side and then have the unlocks on the other. (awful decision)
    - 3 maps, basic 'missions' (that will inevitably get repetitive), potato AI
    - queue times are 'variable' (could be 2-20+ minutes, who knows) and you may wait that long to reach a broken lobby
    - performance is an issue even on lowest settings. The whole 'your computer is a toaster' argument is null; this game runs sluggish.

    I'm giving a 1 because the music is legit. I'm not sure how you can mess this up though considering it's 30+ years old.. but I experienced music more than game play and Predator OST music is cool. Be prepared for "da da da duh da-da-da" over and over while you wait in queue.

    On that note: Don't wait in queue for too long. I was minutes over my "2 hours" and Epic Games refuses to refund me. I guess waiting in queues is just too 'epic' and I fail to realize that. I've uninstalled it, as well as the EpicGames Launcher (no more moneys from me, guys). In it's current state, it's garbage and a waste of time.

    *if you want to play this* = play fireteam and just faceroll the predator, it's ridiculously easy to find him and kill him. Do that to get xp and check to see what you're unlocking on the predator side for if and when you'd like to try playing as him. FIreteams absolutely destroy predator at low lvl because the checkpoints for perks/items/etc. are few and very far between. Be prepared for having nothing left to do in about 10-20 hours though.     This game is the worst ive ever played in terms of style and realism. As a predator, I am blocked by a leaf from making a jump... As a Marine, i can jump through steel pipe to make the objective. This game is fast and lends itself to want to be fun. But, is far from it if you favor the vilan... Which is horribly under powered. Period... Study and find the patience to listen and establish what is needed to make something like this be close to being real... Then you will maybe be onto something. Things not doing what they are supposed to do, jumping and blocked by a **** leaf, shooting a **** PLASMA BEAM AND CANT PENETRATE A **** LEAF??? REALLY??? Jumping as Pred and hitting a leaf and stopping??? All actions against the protagonist and all benefit to the humans... Guess what??? Some, MOST of us want to see the humans get **** chopped up!! Why? Because that is what the **** movie and series is and should be about.... Dont rig the game to be like the movies....... Dont give the top end to the 4 vs 1 human team.... Make it real!!!! Make the Pred a **** Pred and allow the humans to fight for the right to survive... Thats whats happening in the movies, comics and lore.....     Collision meshes that were made in two seconds, so they act more like an invisible wall destroys the flow of this combat game. When you add in the moronic AI, the fact that enemies practically spawn on top of you, or within a structure you just cleared, it decimates immersion. Then we get to the "hit one button a million times" as the laziest QTE mechanics for all their 'interactiveCollision meshes that were made in two seconds, so they act more like an invisible wall destroys the flow of this combat game. When you add in the moronic AI, the fact that enemies practically spawn on top of you, or within a structure you just cleared, it decimates immersion. Then we get to the "hit one button a million times" as the laziest QTE mechanics for all their 'interactive gameplay' (e.g. hacking, or collecting items). It is pointless repetition to delay you and make this look like a real game. But even more artificial is the drug lord troops zerg rushing the dead predator to shoot it, if you do manage to take it down. That is right. It is dead and they desperately need to shoot it some more. At least according to the devs.

    The only real fun is playing as the Predator, but waiting 7 minutes (on average) to get into a match is far too long to keep a player base. Then when you do get in, the starting Predator is a joke, while the final version (Beserker) is massively OP. They cannot be taken down by an entire team dumping endless rounds into it. To cap it all off, there is no match making between marines and the predator. So quite often those playing as a marine will run into a Beserker that is 20+ levels higher than they are. Further proof these devs need to hire a real game designer.

    This is just another poor excuse of an EA title pushed out the door on unsuspecting customers. Perhaps in the future they may have finished the game and hired someone with a clue to fix the gameplay, but that is not today. Hard Pass.    … Expand

    Unplayable FPS, drops from 70 to 30, you can't see stable 60 fps, forget about it. (my PC - Core i7 + GTX 1080).
    Textures sometime is missing, sound is lagging, cr4ppy optimization, fps drops, graphics from 2005 even on Max settings.
    Matchmaking is 0, you will wait more then 10 mins and if you find maximum will be 2 players, forget about to play as Predator because you will never find lobby with him. I was wait more 25 mins and didn't find any lobby. (3 times)
    Just DO NOT buy this game.
    This game is not worth to get your money.

    Унылый геймплей, пятница 13 выглядела куда лучше, хоть и заброшена теперь. Халтурные анимации ... за 3.34 $ норм если использовать скидочный билет эпик гейма. Полное разочарование, дисбаланс кстати тут очень существенный.., а что будет когда нахлынут читеры даже думать не хочу.Унылый геймплей, пятница 13 выглядела куда лучше, хоть и заброшена теперь.     Обычная игра для кооперативной игры (любителям "пятницы 13" и ей подобного понравится). Есть баги, но думаю со временем всё исправят (они не столь критичны). От хищника для победы требуется неплохой такой навык и хитрость (просто так в лоб не нападёшь или как "крыса" не постреляешь с плазмы). Игра за людей это просто "особенности национальной ксеноохоты".Обычная игра для кооперативной игры (любителям "пятницы 13" и ей подобного понравится).     I wanted to like this game but unfortunately, it is bad in the current state. Not much changed since beta. Optimisation is not very good and I see FPS drops even with my RTX 2070 SUPER and SSD. Game play is dull, unpolished and unbalanced. It gets repetitive very soon. There is no reason for fire team to split resulting in no depth in game play and tactics. There are three maps but theyI wanted to like this game but unfortunately, it is bad in the current state. Not much changed since beta.     Стрельба деревянная, анимация как в марио, и то там лучше. Лутбоксы, не сохраняется прогресс, вообщем куча багов, просто очень много. Не стоит своих денег.

    So after reaching lvl100 I realized I needed to update this review. At the early levels while everyone is still kinda figuring things out, it's super fun. The core idea here is great. Sadly, at a high level of play it becomes extremely apparent that the balancing is utterly atrocious. (Even I, in my original review called out some players for playing to aggressively, but at a certain pointSo after reaching lvl100 I realized I needed to update this review. At the early levels while everyone is still kinda figuring things out, it's super fun. The core idea here is great. Sadly, at a high level of play it becomes extremely apparent that the balancing is utterly atrocious. (Even I, in my original review called out some players for playing to aggressively, but at a certain point it doesn't really matter how careful you are, or precise with your shots.) The game was clearly rushed, and it's worrisome to see a game this small (only 3 maps were included at launch along with 1 game mode) with so many bugs, glitches, and balancing issues. Even a quick visit to the forums makes it pretty clear that players are really unhappy with the balance of the game at higher levels of play.

    The first round of "balancing" was laughable. One of the major concerns was the parry mechanic in the game being too strong. Illfonic's solution to that was to add a stamina cost. However, the cost was negligible, still allowing about 4-5 parries in a row before draining the stamina. As if that wasn't enough, the player could still parry with zero stamina. So the solution really had no effect on gameplay or balance. That's concerning for future updates, as it seems that Illfonic is unsure of how best to make the player base happy. They seem too scared to lean one way or another for fear of alienating anyone. Unfortunate, becasue again, what's here could be great. But right now, even after the recent Predator buff, the Predator is still basically a fox for the fireteam to hunt. There is still a lot of work to be done, and currently Illfonic hasn't shown that they are ready to make serious changes to the game. I can't recommend it in it's current state. It's worth keeping an eye out for future patches, but I'd ask around before you buy.

    My Original Review: Flawed but still very fun, a must for fans of the films or Illfonic's Friday the 13th.

    As an asymmetric multiplayer game, it's important to note that your experience with the game will vary from match to match depending on the play-style and competence of the people you're playing with. At low levels, with an inexperienced player, the Predator isn't much of a threat. You'll see message boards flooded with topics like "Predator too weak!!!" Most of the games that end with a Predator kill is usually because the player jumped into the middle of the fireteam and started slashing away. As you progress into the higher levels however, you'll start to see the game really shine. There is nothing more thrilling than a cat and mouse game against a competent Predator player. A fireteam that doesn't work together and cover each other will be quickly and severly punished. Most games your team will be frantically checking the trees, jumping at every clicking noise. It's a blast.

    I'm surprised by the IGN review. They gave Friday the 13th a 7/10 and this game is just as good if not better. Don't let it scare you off. This is definitely worth checking out.

    There are flaws to be sure. Poor enemy AI, lack of gameplay variety, some slightly clunky mechanics, and a few other rough edges that need polished before this game really shines. As long as Illfonic continues to refine and support this game with new maps, gameplay mechanics, and balancing tweaks I think it could become a multiplayer mainstay for a good time to come. I have a good feeling about this one, and I'm on board.    … Expand

    Жирный плюс. Долгожданная игра во вселенной Хищника. 10 долгих лет.
    1)Костюмизация, но где шкурки героев из фильмов ?
    2) Кросплей, хм... мой ИКСБОКС смотрит на меня косо.
    3) Очень красивые карты, джунгли великолепные.
    4) Весёлая игра с друзьями.

    Из минусов:
    1) Малое колличество карт, я насчитал 3 штуки, но с разными задачами. Жду городские джунгли =) .
    2) Бестолковый ИИ, давит массой. Стоит лучше переработать ИИ в качественном направлении, вместо того что бы давить зерг-рашом.
    3) Оптимизация, думаю многие высказались об этом. Но это исправят надеюсь в ближайшее время.

    The game is nice, but unplayable for me, as it don't allow me to remap movement keys (WASD), and as a left-handed player used to play with arrow keys, i find it impossible to enjoy it.. if anytime with any patch this change, i would consider to buy it again..

Сам же геймплей за хищника поначалу особым разнообразием не пестрит ибо на первых уровнях из снаряжения доступны только наручные лезвия, плазменная пушка (которая весьма и весьма ситуативная, имбой её точно не назовешь) и тепловизор с аптечкой, но уже по мере прокачки и открывания нового снаряжения и оружия геймплей за хища становиться более разнообразным и увлекательным т.к. инструментарий весьма обширный и непохож друг на друга. Геймплей же за огневую группу это по сути стандартный шутер от первого лица. Вам ставится боевая задача, вы высаживайтесь, начинайте её выполнять, в процессе натыкайтесь на хищника, (или не натыкайтесь, если хищник весь матч ковыряется в носу) убивайте хища и после победы пытайтесь разминировать его бомбу(никогда у меня ещё так ладожки не потели, как при этом несчастном разминировании, очень напряженный момент) или не убивайте тут уже от вас зависит, чтобы одолеть хищника нужно реально всегда держаться вместе, не получится в 1-2 человека в открытую вынести инопланетного засранца. Что же по графике, то тут она вполне приемлимая, но есть у игры такая проблема как просады фпс. Когда играл за хища, то просадов не ощущал совсем, но когда попробовал за бойца огневой группы, то там это дело уже бросаль в глаза, пришлось поковыряться в настроечках немного и проседы исчезли, поэтому не верьте тем, кто кричит во всё горло, что игра неиграбельная, что всё глючит и тормозит, это не так. По поводу багов не знаю что сказать, каких-то критических, которые бы игру руинили я не нашел, может мне просто повезло так, но в этом плане всё в порядке было. По поводу подбора ещё хотел бы сказать. За бойца огневой группы игру ищет в среднем 30-60 секунд, тут всё окей, но вот когда хочешь за хищника поиграть, то тут уже цифры совсем не такие весёлые. Игру может искать и по 3,4,5 минут. Дольше всего искало 6 минут, так найти игру за хищника тут весьма проблемно. Может с этим что-то сделаю в дальнейшем, но хрен его знает, на момент написания рецензии, чтобы найти игру за хищника нужно запастись терпением. Игра зайдет далеко не всем в силу своего большого упора на первую часть фильма. Наверное это тот редкий случай, когда игру делали непосредственно для фанатов.… Expand

Especially since more content is to come.     It's great when it works, no side is actually that op, plenty of room for mastery as well. The Predator experience is very very authentic and I just love it. I don't think I have played any game like this before, when I think about it.

    The current state of it though(April 2020) is very rough and I hope IllFonic continues to work and build on it.

    Ok, here's the Deal, i will be honest, but I am a huge Dark Horse Fan and grew up with Aliens and Predator both, i been waiting for a good hot min for dev's to **** them self's in making a good pred game, and if your a fan, of the franchise, then yes this game is Epic !! Играю с момента релиза игры, НИ ОДНОГО глюка еще не встретил, игра идет плавно, с оптимизацией все в порядке... Единственное что, долгий поиск игроков в лобби, за спецназ от 1 до 2 минут, за хищника до 5 минут, в целом не критично. I'm honestly surprised that I enjoy the game so much, The higher level you get the more fun it gets, with better fireteams and better predator.     Overall this game has a quite some growing pains, but its growing and thats what matters.

    This game gets negative reviews just because people don't know how to play this properly. I was hesitant at first because the game is multiplayer only (and I prefer singleplayer or cooperative play), but it got me hooked big time. Yes the game has flaws, but it has a heart.     Maybe it's because I really like the Predator franchise, but everytime I play the game I feel like I am relieving the Predator movie again and again. This pumps my adrenaline like crazy.

    The game is being patched from time to time and it really gets better every time. I hope that the player base will get bigger and there will be more stuff coming in the future.

    I give it 8/10 cause of the lack of singleplayer as I'd really like to play just for fun and not being stalked by a bloodthirsty sadistic maniac all the time ;)    … Expand

    this game is actually really fun(as the predator), unfortunately playing the fireteam is kinda boring and thus few ppl are playing FT leading to long pred queues and leading to the mistaken belief that predator needs nerfed (even though he's stupid UP) in order for ppl to play FT.
    sadly these ppl complaining will prolly get their way leading to pred nerfs and the game dying as pred    this game is actually really fun(as the predator), unfortunately playing the fireteam is kinda boring and thus few ppl are playing FT leading to long pred queues and leading to the mistaken belief that predator needs nerfed (even though he's stupid UP) in order for ppl to play FT.

    It's an enjoyable game but very shallow with a small player base. There are a handful of weapons with several skins for them. The missions are quick under 10 mins.

    It's good, but not $40 good. Cross play with PS4 is the only thing keeping it populated still because of EGS's tiny player base adding pretty much nothing to it.

    уже прошел 5 часов игры. могу сказать что игра точно мне нравится! играл как за морпеха так и за хищника. за морпеха вовсе не скучно играть как писали в самых первых обзоров. если тебя убили а игра идет то возрождаешься в виде подкрепления. очень хорошо играть с компьютера и дополнительно иметь джойстик. за хищника я играю с помощью джойстика, за морпеха с помощью клавы и мыши потому что от первого лица.
    из косяков не понятно почему нет обучения за морпеха и почему нет настроек клавиатуры ? такое ощущение что просто игру с PS 4 адаптировали и все    … Expand

    The graphics? Outstanding The gameplay? Fun, immersive and addictive, with a lot of progression and class customization, what gives you a lot of different play styles. The problems? Illfonic just gives a monumental **** about this game, they make an update every century. Thermal vision is awful and not resembing in any way the Predator's original thermal    The concept itself? Thermal vision is awful and not resembing in any way the Predator's original thermal vision. There are (not exagerating) from 30 to 40 players monthly, so you can cook yourself a pizza while waiting, starting by planting some tomatoes in your garden, by the time they grow, there will be one player in queue with you.

    To sum up: The game itself is great, and if it was not for the way Illfonic just dropped it out and abandoned it's community, I definately would've kept playing.    … Expand

    My concern with Predator: Hunting Grounds is a simple one. If Illfonic doesn't fix the issues with getting in a game and a few bugs like AI enemies glitching into the floor, as well as develop some content to actually liven it up, it'll become another Evolve. If the issues are fixed and a bit of content is made, I could genuinely see this having a decent following. I know I'd come back to it.
