If FuturLab can continue adding creative levels, further flesh out the Career mode, and implement its planned multiplayer and "experimental" mechanics, PowerWash Simulator will be in a great place. As is, it's definitely good enough to recommend. Not so much "oddly satisfying" as it is "satisfying, period." [Early Access review]

PowerWash Simulator is currently in early access (you pay a reduced premium to play a game not yet finished), but even now this is an irresistible example of so-called “playbour”, and further evidence that a shit job often makes for a sublime game. [Early Access review]
  3. It's not overly complex, doesn't take itself too seriously, and still has plenty of depth for those who just want to hose down a bungalow.

It's my go-to game for stress relief. Put on some chill background music and wash away your troubles. Seeing objects become clean, stroke by stroke is just oddly satisfying. Of course, as with most simulators the game has mechanical flaws. Ladders are an abomination, there's only really one useful nozzle (the yellow one), soap is pretty useless and the economics are debatable.

But all in all it's a fun game and provides hours of stress relief fun.

Not the greatest game ever made or the most beautiful but it pushes so many endorphin buttons that my brain couldn't put it down and I blew through it in a few days. Very addicting. Full Review »
