    Although being VERY, but i mean VERY repetitive, it's a game that you don't see everyday..... if you're angry with something on your day, just sit down, and play POSTAL, you'll not be missed by it

    The game is very good and entertaining. You can simply do what you cannot do in real life. Well, not if you're insane anyway. A comment on Shawn's comment. You don't have to kill everything that moves. You just need to kill the hostile ones and move through the levels.     It's just too short for me.
    All in all, it is a very good game that was extremely underrated because of "excessive violence" as the law dogs would call it, when games like Grand Theft Auto go off easy and even get 85 to 100 on some sites. Hypocrisy at it's best.    … Expand

    I try to approach this from my own experience from my high-school era.
    I really did not care about the gore - I mean kids usually like violent games, they experience life and this is exactly what they can hopefully never do in real life. So yeah, I loved this title very much.

    I know it sounds sick, but I loved to hear the people scream and I used molotovs, etc.

    From my current, adult perspective, this game is insanely violent, bloody and brutal.

    i'm not sure if I re-played it when I bought it from GOG years ago.
    I played all games as cracked/warez, when I was a kid and I simply bought lots of games as an adult to pay my respect to the developers.
    One this is for sure, I would not recommend it to any kid.

    Technically speaking, I liked the graphics very much, though it was not groundbreaking.
    The controls are perfectly simple.
    The voices/sounds are very good.
    I think I never turned on the music if the game has any...

    The most funny aspect is that after 24 years of this game's initial release, I work at the Hungarian Post Office for almost a year. Now GIMME A GUN!! Just joking...! :)    … Expand

    Postal is one of the most deeply interesting psychological horror games ever made, it made me legitimately question my own morals several times over. It's extremely cheap on Steam and frequently goes on sale for even cheaper so I would recommend picking this up, especially to those interested in human psychology.

    Deep story, no humor to ruin it (postal 2) and best sounds (death growls) ever. Of course it doesn't work if you play it now expecting it to be 2014 graphics and gameplay but at the time it was best here was.

    The selling point of Postal is still its best feature - unabashed anarchy and a willingness to go where other games haven't. The gameplay is average; really no new ground is broken, and at its core this is just arcade style action. But the fact remains that Postal has upped the ante as far as what is accepted in the mainstream gaming world.

    okay people... you have to look at how to see games.. you dont have to look at the graphics or quality.. its how u like to play games.. and how you love games.. i think this game is kick ass.. why? because nobody else has the balls to make a game so funny and mean...

    Its been years since I played this game, but I still remember having a good time playing it. No brain surgery here, you simply kill every person that moves. The game is played from an isometric view, and the graphics were good for its time. If you're looking for an old school game that only requires twitchy fingers, then this is the one for you.

    Isometric, mindless shooter. Very fun. Running With Scissors 1997 videogame is very fun allowing you to do whatever you please. This game is fantastic.

    The game is severely hindered by terrible controls. Play the sequel, Postal 2, instead. It has a much wider fanbase and fan support, along with 3d environments, a wide amount of weapons, and a great sense of humor.

    it is a classic and a different point of view. I had really really fun when i played it and even much more fun with the second one and the points are low because its "politically incorrect" which actually is the best part of it because if you can make fun of such stuff and if everybody makes fun of this stuff than the people who are causing this problems sooner or later will see that whatit is a classic and a different point of view. Before each level, there is a brief sentence that is supposed to give more depth to the reasons behind the murder spree, but they are often too vague and pointless. It is a game with extremely limited content, and terrible controls that has only been given attention to the vague and boring idea behind it. If you are looking for a game with gratuitous violence without any reasons or story at all, there are many others out there that are far more polished and better executed than this attempt at a unique gaming experience.     I can't appreciate this game as much as Postal 2 because I didn't play it as it came out. By the time I did play it Postal 2 was already out and was more appealing to me. Although it does have it's charm as an older game, I reckon it would work nicely as an Android game.

    If you like other postal games and you want to buy the first postal because it is cheap - don't do it. It will disappoint you and it changed the way how I think of this series. The game is just dumb and not even funny, you will get bored of it after a couple of minutes.

    Postal is a big joke. Not so bad that it is a joke, I mean it literally is just a joke. And you'd save more time watching it's flaws on YouTube than actually going to the store to buy this. Even if you found this funny, it's going to be extremely unplayable... and very forgettable. Don't buy Postal or it's follow ups.. It might just kill us all.

    quite a fun shoot-'em-up/twin-stick that you don't really need to play. It's done in about 2-3 hours and doesn't offer much of a story.
    Gameplay is decently fun though and the map- and art-design are pretty good.

    If you loved those flash-games where you just kill everything that moves, I'd recommend you give Postal a try. Otherwise, you should maybe pass on this one.

    There's not much to say about this game. It's a simple shooter game with not much substance. I would never call this a classic but it's still interesting if you're into old PC shooters. Just don't go expecting much besides a burst of fun. The second game is better.

    С самого начала игра пытается тебя запугнуть, и возможно у нее это получается. Это нагнетание, звуковое сопровождение, стилизованные арт - вставки в катценах, все это понемногу, но пугает. Игра придерживается своей задумки, она очень интересна, но уходить в сюжет 1 постала, не стоит. Эта игра, по моему мнению, чисто под пивас расслабиться не более.     When you're playing postal you might notice there have no soundtrack in this game, I considering it's atmosphere to the deep violence dark story. Alot of people who played Postal might say "there's is no story" "it's **** violence asf don't play it" then they must be not played Postal before. The gameplay is nothing else just blasting your the citizens, the game soundtrack is horrendousWhen you're playing postal you might notice there have no soundtrack in this game, I considering it's atmosphere to the deep violence dark story. You will shoot 50 rounds in the face of 1 cop. And maybe it's tolerable when there are 20-30 of them per level. but by the end of the game this number increases to 70-90 cops per level. 1 execution animation.     The game looks good for its time, the graphics and psychics are really well done, and the animations are fluent.

    The sound is also surprisingly good with the constant moaning of dying people, the explosion sounds and the screams of people who are on fire. Yes, I can say this quite casually now because I also finished Postal 2.

    For the time, this game was one big scandal and I can totally see why. Nowadays it is nothing more than a big shooting gallery where your only goal is to murder as much of the population as possible.

    The reason I recommend this game is because the achievements make it fun to play. Normally after killing a whole neighborhood I am done with the game but the fact that you can achieve something makes it fun. Except for the “one million bullet achievement” of course, that one was sadistic.

    Overall, it is free now so if you have a sadistic mood and some time to spend, give it a try.    … Expand

    I Really love this game and hold it dearly to me. But yeah it does have flaws (that were mainly fixed in REDUX) but I’d play this game on a depressing Saturday night. 8/10 I love this game

    A pretty good one with a few bugs, but they're not major. If you look at this from the modern perspective it's really just entertainment for a few minutes, if it wasn't for free on steam I would probably never get it.     Я понимаю почему у этой игры такая оценка, и почему данная оценка имеет право на существование: отсутствия повествования, внятности сюжета, или вообще его отсутствие, особенно это бросается на глазах когда вы только начинаете новую игру, и вас уже кидают в гущу событий при этом ни имея удобного управления, ни времени на подготовку. Например в случае с Fallout (которая вышла примерно вЯ понимаю почему у этой игры такая оценка, и почему данная оценка имеет право на существование: отсутствия повествования, внятности сюжета, или вообще его отсутствие, особенно это бросается на глазах когда вы только начинаете новую игру, и вас уже кидают в гущу событий при этом ни имея удобного управления, ни времени на подготовку. Например в случае с Fallout (которая вышла примерно в тоже время), с ней совсем другая история — там есть повествование как в любой нормальной игре показывающая цель главного героя, и даже в плане боёвки она более удобная (но это не точно), и более продуманная, пусть это и пошаговое RPG, а не экшен с динамичной стрельбой. Хотя на самом деле игра вышла не такой уж и плохой, пусть и не шедевр, со своими недостатками, но в чём-то даже хороша. Мрачная и нагнетающая атмосфера, высмеивание нормы общества, или психология главного героя. Этим пугает и превлекат одновременно, а главный герой, он...псих — человек съехавший с катушек, не главный герой по шаблону который спасает мир и святость во плоти, а буквально злодей со своими безумными принципами, и это было оригинально для своего времени, когда в основном все выпускали "герой, который спасает мир". И как я говорил: средненькая, но чем то хороша, и я даже был бы рад мобильной версии этой игры.… Expand
