    An absolute joy to play. Good graphics, controls that work as intended (provided you take the time to learn them, ffs), and of course the game itself is fun. Only one (or two idk) reason it isn't a 10: They didn't bring back the level editor or the multiplayer from the original game. Now, the multiplayer in the original was apparently a buggy mess, so I can't really blame them on thatAn absolute joy to play. The social critique angle of Postal is not something hammered into the player like a school attempting to teach a moron chemistry. Postal instead takes the opposite approach Postal 2 does, and in fact the opposite approach almost any work of fiction like it takes. While gamingPostal Redux is not a game designed to blow your mind, make some artistic masterpiece, or to innovate on a genre. The social critique angle of Postal is not something hammered into the player like a school attempting to teach a moron chemistry. Postal instead takes the opposite approach Postal 2 does, and in fact the opposite approach almost any work of fiction like it takes. While gaming tropes such as being able to take absurd amounts of punishment, an arsenal that appears to rely on hyperspace, and "health packs" are present, at the same time, there is a sense of grounded realism to Postal. It features no fantastical settings, no impossible weaponry, no unrealistic enemies, and an uncomfortably serious tone. Postal does what pretty much no other work like it does, and that's what makes it unique and special. While the sequel features such things as cats being used as silencers and Al-Qaeda hiding out in Arizona, Postal feels grounded in reality in a way that feels more relevant than ever.

    Stop me if you've heard this before. An angry, mentally imbalanced white guy who believes the world is out to get him with a giant cache of guns decides to kill everyone in his way in rampage of hatred that shatters families, leaves corpses in its wake, leaves us wondering why and despite the horror of the situation will undoubtedly happen again soon with nothing done to prevent that. Oh, just about every week on the news? Postal Redux is a remake of a game made in 1997. Think about that: Postal originates from a pre-Columbine, pre-Sandy Hook, pre-neo-fascism/"alt-right" America. Yet, the events of Postal, while being over the top in kill count and survival, are essentially numerous levels of doing what actually happens quite often in the real America in the 21st century. Take any individual level of Postal and it feels like a Lets Play of a major news story, some already having happened and some that are bound to happen in the future. Bomb a parade, shoot up a supermarket, go wild at a military base, or just shatter the false peace of suburbia. Postal doesn't need a novel's worth of dialogue and ten hours of cutscenes to tell a meaningful story, because all you need to do to get the story for Postal is to go to the news website of your choice. Critiquing the story of Postal is completely missing the point. These events are not deep, are often completely without a point, and when one is presented it's shallow, hateful and insane. There's not supposed to be a deep story to this game, because the story isn't of characters and set pieces, the story is one of critique and metaphor. Postal holds a mirror up to America and sells us simulations of what we've become numb to.

    As for the gameplay? It's alright. Nothing about Postal's gameplay is groundbreaking, and if you try to use a controller you're going to have a bad time, but nothing about it is otherwise bad, or even bland. All the guns are unique and have their own uses and feel. While there's not a billion weapons in Postal, each weapon serves a dedicated function and you'll find yourself using all of them throughout the game. Power weapons have more limited ammo and/or rates of fire, while the pump action shotgun will be your main tool of destruction throughout the game. The SMG is best used as a last resort weapon or for mopping up civilians, as it's got unlimited ammo. The AI is quite impressive, the civilians will flee while the hostiles will use actual tactics to fight you, flanking you and attacking from multiple directions so that while you focus on one their buddies can take you from behind. Numerous times I found myself fleeing enemies because I'd bitten off more than I could chew, or frantically spamming explosives to try to get them off my tail. While one cop with a shotgun isn't an issue, five can quickly do massive damage to you. Hostiles will try to pin you down onto explosives thrown by other hostiles, and they'll happily use barrels against you. Combat is as fun as it is actually challenging, while still having a very pick-up-and-play feel to it.

    All in all, Postal Redux is a fantastic remake of a controversial game, and improves quite a bit on the original. Furthermore, the actual meaning behind the game is perhaps more relevant and powerful now than it was in 1997, coming to an America numb to violence like this perpetrated in real life rather than being horrified even by the virtual depiction of it. Some would say it failing to shock now is a downfall of a remake, but I'd say that it failing to shock us, and feeling quite mundane and like an average part of our lives says more and means more than shocking depictions of fictional violence ever could. In twenty years we went from being horrified by low-resolution victional pixel violence to being numb to the exact same thing in real life and outright critical of the game not being graphic enough.     And by that I've already told you everything about the game.
    It's gameplay is boring and repetitive and there's no real challenge at all. You just kill everyone in a level, go to the next level and kill everyone there. Repeat this for 2 hours and the game is finished. There are some other modes    Postal Redux is remake of the original postal game. It's a controversial Top-Down-Shooter.
    And by that I've already told you everything about the game.
    It's gameplay is boring and repetitive and there's no real challenge at all. You just kill everyone in a level, go to the next level and kill everyone there. Repeat this for 2 hours and the game is finished.
    There are some other modes besides the campaign but it all boils down to the same boring gameplay loop.

    If you are a fan of the postal series and want to know where the series started, then give this game a try.
    But for anybody else: Hands off this game, it's not worth your money or time.

    This game is just awkward. Even if we ignore the terrible graphics and the bugs, it is not playable. The controls are quite weird and the game gets boring after a minute.

    They change ending where Dude should be go in school, there now church. And scene not looks good. And they also said "okay" when painter-girl which they employed for game said "I DON`T WANT DRAWING DEAD BABY IN ENDING SCENE OF CREDITS".

Геймплей стал гараздо лучше, ведь починили управление(теперь например можно бегать и одновременно стрелять из дробовика, да и ракеты теперь имеют больший радиус взрыва) и исправили блядский курсор, которого было невидно из за некоторых объектов и hud'а. Добавили нормальный мультиплеер. Но есть некоторые минусы, например некоторая музыка из оригинального посрала звучит страшнее, но это вызвано скорее тем что сама музыка была сделана из сэмплов и пердящих звуков.… Expand

    The game itself isn't bad but It keeps crashing after like 20 seconds on a laptop with an 11th gen processor and that's **** annoying the original postal is better.

    One of the best remakes of all time I think it is a little bit better then the original postal because it had different levels and Rampage mode which is awesome by the way and I’m so glad that running with scissors ported it to the ps4 and Nintendo switch and I wanted to be on the Xbox one hope I hope it happens someday

    Just like the original except with nicer graphics. If you're looking for a game that's about mindlessly murdering innocents then this is definitely the game for you.

    An awesome remake of the original 1997 title "Postal" with cleverly remade soundtrack and graphics. The game was overhauled in many ways. I really enjoyed it so i suggest buying it.

    the hand painted backdrops are beautiful, and it improves the ambience and story exponentially. this remaster turns postal into a true horror game, a real delve into the mind of a psychopath- and only builds on what made the original great. it doesn't try and justify the player killing anybody for any reason, the enemies aren't bad people or an evil fantasy race,    Fantastic remaster.

It lets you play as a psycho instead of pretending you're not like a lot of other games do. And it makes you feel uncomfortable or bad because of this. When you shoot enemies to the ground , they say some just sad **** ranging from screaming how they can't feel their legs or have gone blind, to begging you to stop, to begging you to kill them. this on top of the ambience and everything just invokes a wealth of negative emotions. It's good horror, it goes beyond just being scared.

    This remaster overhauls the ambience to really feel like paranoid delusions, that's the best way I can describe it. which fits perfectly because the postal guy has all the symptoms of someone with paranoid delusions, especially with the hard mode monologues. This is accurate to many real life mass shooters, which builds on a sense of realism this game has.

    the Gameplay improvements are pretty significant, it's far smoother to play now. The gameplay was great already, with a realistic feel that fits the games vision and helps it hold up. weapon variety is fantastic with some pretty crazy weapon designs that still don't hurt the games sense of realism. the level design and enemy variety are fantastic. And the revolver is another great addition from the remaster.

    It makes sense why this game is relatively poorly received, it's a niche type of game that kind of insults the current mindset gamers have towards murder in games, in a very brutally real and honest manner. which is always controversial- See hotline Miami 2. But I think this game is a masterpiece with real artistic value, and I love it.    … Expand

    I Like this game. Honestly POSTAL 1 gave me more nostalgia but this works too. It fixes all the issues in the first game and I just love the overall aesthetic of POSTAL games and playing this on my switch is a delight. I’ve learned to not play this in school though on my switch. 9/10 cool game RWS

    This is the remake from an game released on 1997, for an remake that is hella good, and as far of my knowledge, every part of the game seems to be remastered/remaked instead of copied, this game is fun if you play when you want.

    Postal Redux is a below-average remake of a mediocre 90s game. It hasn’t any hidden advantage to convince you that it's worthy of playing. You get more fun if play the old Postal 2 again.
