    Portal 2 is the best game I had the opportunity to play this year. It interests the player from the beginning and stays like that to its final minutes.     When i first heard about the first Portal i was surprised by such a simple concept, two portals creating so many puzzles for hours, but no matter what i wanted a slightly more "complete version'' of this game, and after, i found Portal 2.
    This is not just a puzzle game, this unique atmosphere that has not changed for the worse since the first portal, very little quantity of games are like    When i first heard about the first Portal i was surprised by such a simple concept, two portals creating so many puzzles for hours, but no matter what i wanted a slightly more "complete version'' of this game, and after, i found Portal 2.

    Me ha encantado el juego, la duración es perfecta, ninguna parte se siente relleno o queda muy corta, los personajes y sus personalidades son de lo mejor. Una de las cosas que más me han gustado es el giro que pega la historia en lo personal no me lo esperaba y me ha encantado, los puzles no se sienten difíciles artificialmente sino todo lo contrario, los puzles son lo mejor. La mejorMe ha encantado el juego, la duración es perfecta, ninguna parte se siente relleno o queda muy corta, los personajes y sus personalidades son de lo mejor.     Hilarious, challenging, gorgeous, and the single most jaw-droppingly incredible 3rd act I have ever seen in a video game, no spoilers because I somehow made it in spoiler-free, but the climax, ending cutscene, and ending song will make you feel the full range of emotions in order, I went from on the brink of cheering to on the brink of tears in 10 minutes, and you will too.

    Portal es un juego con UNA mecánica: disparar portales. Solo tiene una, pero la pule hasta el extremo. En cambio Portal 2 da todavía más jugo a la mecánica de portales y añade alguna otra, como los líquidos esos raros de colores que poseen distintas propiedades, manteniendo un nivel de pulido en todas impecable.

    Los puzles y diseño de niveles es mucho mejor que el del primero, dando situaciones mucho más variadas, teniendo que pensar mejor las acciones de cada puzle y aprovechando cada mecánica al máximo para dar los mejores puzles que he visto en videojuegos.

    La historia es 1000 veces mejor que la del primero. Hay nuevos personajes que tienen muchísimo carisma, como Weastley o Cave Jhonson y cada personaje evoluciona a lo largo del juego. No quiero hacer spoilers, pero la historia es buenísima.

    Portal es imprescindible, pero no sé que haces leyendo esta review sin haber jugado Portal 2. De los mejores videojuegos que he jugado en unos años.    … Expand

Эта игра проработана во всех отношениях: интересные физические головоломки, которые со временем усложняются, неплохой саундтрек, процедурно генерируемый по ходу действий игрока, отличная на момент выхода графика, юморные монологи и диалоги, граничащие с абсурдом и чернухой (юмор здесь вообще на одной из первых ролей) - лишь часть ее достоинств. Главным же достоинством, на мой взгляд, является сюжет, который здесь развит глубже, чем в первой части и прекрасно ее продолжает. Мы так же играем за Челл, на сей раз проснувшуюся в криокамере после продолжительного сна, куда ее забрал Распорядитель вечеринки в конце оригинала. Мы знакомимся с новым действующим лицом - Уитли - которое будет с нами на протяжении почти всей игры, причем в одной роли в начале и совершенно в другой - в конце. По ходу сюжета мы запускаем побежденную GLaDOS, проваливаемся в испытательные камеры, проходим их, сбегаем с Уитли, обезоруживаем ее, появляемся перед GLaDOS и меняем ее модуль на модуль Уитли. Затем он нас предает, мы проваливаемся вниз в старые части лаборатории вместе с GLaDOS-картошкой, проходим в них испытания, знакомясь с новыми механиками и открываем нового важного персонажа, Кейва Джонсона, общающегося с нами через свои записи, находим GLaDOS и, объединившись, выбираемся наверх. Наконец, пройдя все испытания Уитли с новыми механиками, мы вновь встречаемся с ним и в финальном сражении побеждаем, открыв портал (!) на Луну и чуть не улетев в космос, после чего GLaDOS-Кэролайн (удаленная) отпускает нас под прелестнейшую арию турелей буквально в чистое поле. Мне крайне понравилась данная история, хотя я также люблю историю и первой части, несмотря на ее краткость. В остальном, кроме сюжета, игра проработана отлично, как я уже сказал, здесь есть интересные отсылки для фанатов и не только, сами локации дают простор для фантазии и модов, присутствует сюжетный кооператив на двоих, продолжающий основную игру (его я еще обязательно пройду!). Оригинальные характеры героев, необычный для головоломок масштаб, история с отличным финалом и, конечно, сама механика переносных порталов, помноженная на остальные механики, присутствующие в игре, делают ее незабываемым впечатлением, которое хочется пережить заново.     Although it is not flashy, it has a high degree of perfection as an action puzzle game. The game balance that gradually increases the gimmicks is also exquisite. The atmosphere and the production by the voice actors draw you into the game well. Co-op play has more complicated gimmicks and higher difficulty, but you can enjoy a different fun than single mode.

Teniendo en cuenta que los gráficos son prácticamente idénticos a los de la entrega anterior, tanto en las mecánicas como en la historia mejoran sustancialmente al original. La jugabilidad se mantiene siendo espectacular y única en el género. En cuanto a la cantidad de puzzles y dificultad de los mismos, hay bastantes más que en Portal 1Portal 2 es una gran secuela del clásico de Valve. Teniendo en cuenta que los gráficos son prácticamente idénticos a los de la entrega anterior, tanto en las mecánicas como en la historia mejoran sustancialmente al original. La jugabilidad se mantiene siendo espectacular y única en el género. En cuanto a la cantidad de puzzles y dificultad de los mismos, hay bastantes más que en Portal 1 pero a mi, al menos, en el último tercio del juego se me ha hecho un tanto pesado debido a la cantidad de puzzles antes de llegar al desenlace del juego, y lo encuentro algo alargado. La historia expande el lore del mundo en el que se ambienta el juego y se entienden muchos cabos sueltos de la entrega anterior. Para evitar entrar en spoilers, únicamente debo comentar que los personajes de este juego no me han gustado tanto y me parecen menos perfectos que en Portal 1, o al menos no me han sorprendido tanto como lo hizo GlaDos en el mismo. En cuanto a la banda sonora, el juego mejora ya que se incluyen melodías de acompañamiento en los niveles que se adaptan bastante bien a la ambientación. En conclusión, Portal 2 no me ha sorprendido tanto como lo hizo Portal 1, pero me sigue pareciendo un juego de puzzles magistral y merece mucho la pena jugarlo si te gustan los juegos de puzzles. 8,6/10

You don't even need to play Portal before playing this game. My first playthrough was like that, and I enjoyed it as much as I would have if I knew the first game.     The game, depending on which mode you are playing in, immediately begins by projecting you inside this huge facility, The Aperture Science Inc., which, however, seems to have aged from the events of the first chapter, leaving you guessing at the time skip of several years. From the very first minutes, whether you play in single player or cooperative mode, the game explains how to use the basic mechanics of portals, immediately putting your personal portal gun in your hands. The initial differences between the two modes lie mainly in the extra mechanics that the cooperative mode possesses, namely those of the various pings that can be used to communicate between the two players.

    THROUGH THE PORTAL:
    The game visually is incredible and immortal; even played eleven years after its release, Portal 2's graphics and colors remain delicate and appreciable, regardless of which console you try it on. The use of the Source Engine, used in the very famous Half Life 2, makes the graphics, physics, and animations of this game not only at the top of those existing at the time, but still comparable to modern ones. The setting itself, though subjective, is also truly unique and fascinating. Nothing in this game is left to chance; lighting and colors are always used wisely by the game designers to give players a sense of what to do and when.

    WHEATLEY SAYS:
    The sound part of Portal 2, being a puzzle game anyway, does not claim to be sublime. In any case, Valve has decided to create multiple unique Osts that perfectly match the style of the area in which the player is moving or the cut-scene being watched. Huge credit goes to the voice actors who have given the robots unique personalities (Wheatley is perhaps one of the robots, in the video game market, with the most unique personality, perhaps comparable only to the legendary Cl4p-tp).

    IN THE TESTING CHAMBER:
    Portal's gameplay, on paper, is a simple puzzle game that takes advantage of the mechanics of two interconnected portals. The beauty of the gameplay, however, is how this mechanic has been used both within the areas expressly dedicated to puzzles and in the story areas in an extremely precise and dedicated way; it is almost impossible to solve puzzles in manners not intended by the developers, and trust me that if you think you have found a cheese, even that was probably designed by the developers precisely to give you that frenzy of completing a level in an unintended way, thus giving you the urge to continue solving levels. What really drives the player to continue the game is that feel-good feeling you get after figuring out how to solve a puzzle, as well as the obvious desire to find out more about the history of this mysterious company. Finally, a nod to the game's cooperative mode, designed to perfection to give the same feeling for two players. The experience has been made fun and not at all repetitive for players, as the cooperative levels are unique and much more complex than those found in the single-player mode.

    ACHIEVEMENTS:
    Portal's achievements are very simple and push the player to play almost everything it has to offer. The only flaw, in my opinion, is the achievement that requires you to complete the entire course 4 in co-op and without ever dying, which, compared to those that require you to complete some in speedrun, does not suit the puzzle genre as much as the platforming genre. In addition, there are as many as two achievements that require completing actions with multiple players online, limiting in the future or for those without the online subscription.

    BUT WHY 9?

    PROS:
    The pros of Portal 2 are countless and have been amply explained in the previous lines. Portal 2 is a game that borders on perfection, rarely encountering bugs or unintended things; the graphics, animations, and direction are almost immortal. The story, for a puzzle game, is compelling and not at all trivial. The game length is almost perfect for the style of the game. The variety of levels is excellent. In short, Portal 2, like almost all of Valve's work, is a timeless masterpiece that still propels us into the future of puzzle games.

    CONS:
    Finding cons for this game is very, very difficult. The only small things that do not make it a ten are the lack of a menu to select specific levels. Also, a totally personal choice by a game designer in first place, without spoilers(those who have seen will understand), I would have left the final phase of the game (The elevator) in the hands of the player, so that he can really feel the freedom.

    This game is very evolutionary in terms of physics. And the ideas with the portals are simply beautiful!
    Very diverse gameplay. I really liked liquid for the jump and speed.
    Also, the plot is not bad. The main thief turned out to be really cool and charismatic, as for a robot. And it was when he betrayed us that my heart broke. This is one of the biggest treason in games I've played.
    But all the same, this game begins to tire over time. Therefore, I do not recommend going through it at once. And take some breaks.

    A 10/10 because it's just the best puzzle game ever. It's story with multiple twists can also compete with other great games. It also has a multiplayer as well as a puzzle maker. It has many chapters (with many chambers) so the playtime is quite high. Simultaneously it offers 51 Achievements on Steam. The game has really nice details and entertaining dialogues. All in all it's just a masterpiece.

    One of the "must plays" of PC gaming, Portal 2's significance in the gaming industry is undoubtedly deserved due to extremely fun puzzles, gameplay and overall theme. Arguably the best game valve has ever produced, along a line of game after game of high quality levels of care from these developers.

You feel stupid when they point out where you're "allowed" to shoot portals and by the time the game is over, you don't really feel like you played a puzzle game. Every once in a while you'll see this for $1 on a Steam sale, I would not even pay $10 for how it is normally. They spent too much time trying to fleece idiots and normies with the whole meme that Portal became, and not that much time making good puzzles. The entire point of puzzle games is you do puzzles wrong the first couple times before you figure it out. They forgot that and went for the memes.… Expand

    I cannot recommend a game more.     Simply the best puzzle game of all time until 2022. Good level design, simple jogability, the puzzles are not simple, there is no tip that "calls you and idiot". The carachters are memorable, soundtrack is good. And the principal, the community is amazing, the Mods on steam´s workshop are amazing too.

    Almost as good as the first one. Main reasons are lack of cake, unfunny Wheatley and slightly boring one-solution middle-levels. Otherwise Portal 2 is as clever as it is well written. And now Half-Life 2: Ep 3, please. [May 2011]
