This is a game you have to play before you die. It's a MUST-PLAY.
    -The graphics? 11/10.
-The history? Better than any award-winning movie, especially the end. -The music? A masterpiece in all senses. You never get tired of it. -The gameplay? Better than in any AAA game. -It's the first game ever to convey a flavour. I don't know why you are here, reading this review, when you can

I don't know why you are here, reading this review, when you can be playing this masterpiece. Definitively GOTY 2023.

It's a short game which masterfully revolves around and develops its simple premise, never outstaying its welcome or forcing the punchline too hard. The dozens of NPCs, despite often being replicates, exhibit a huge diversity of reactions which offers an incredible amount of replayability; it's definitely an experience which is enhanced the more you explore the island and observe its residents.

My only nitpicks? A) I'm a pineapple on pizza lover so the underlying anti-POP rhetoric was kinda lost on me (which doesn't detract from the overall execution of the joke), and b) a third-person camera option would be nice, since first-person games often make me feel nauseous. Adding to this, a free camera mode could be cool in order to see the action from more epic angles, as well as options to pause or slow down the action in order to process the ensuing chaos.

Pineapple on Pizza is like pineapple on pizza: dissonant, strange, with very pronounced contrasts... But unlike pineapple on pizza, this actually works very well. This review is going to be quite different (and probably shorter) than the ones I usually write, because I'm only going to analyze the island and what the game signifies.

This review is going to be quite different (and probably shorter) than the ones I usually write, because I'm only going to analyze the island and what the game signifies.

I really enjoyed the island. You can feel that there's life there, and you can truly feel sorry when... sorry, spoiler... I had forgotten, this review will contain spoilers. Now, let's continue. You can end up feeling pity when the lava reaches the inhabitants, as you watch what you've done. Additionally, the achievements encourage you to explore how the island is, to confirm everything I've mentioned.

And like pineapple on pizza, this game represents the contrast of the savory cheese and tomato combined with the sweetness of the pineapple, creating a dissonance that disrupts the ingredients. In this case, the ingredients are the volcano and the island. When you enter the volcano (similar to eating the pineapple), all that peace that was there disappears. And I liked it because it conveyed that to me.

Undoubtedly, Pineapple on Pizza is poetic... Now seriously, play it, it's free and you can complete it 100% in 20 minutes. But I quite enjoyed it.

I found ths game way too short. I payed it on the labor weekend and I got 2 hours out of this. The graphics are good but I cant see much value. It kinda feels like a demo.
