Mar 10, 2023Limitations of the tech notwithstanding, Peaky Blinders: The King's Ransom is a great adventure game filled with iconic characters and absolutely seething with atmosphere. [Meta Quest 2]
-
Mar 17, 2023Peaky Blinders: The King's Ransom manages, through the care it gives off and the good work done in the implementation of its mechanics, to be among the best games for virtual reality in standalone systems. An appreciable achievement considering that the limited hardware has made poor graphics the norm for many developers. [Meta Quest tested]

Mar 10, 2023I had bigger hopes for this one. But still Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom is a fun VR adventure game that you’ll enjoy. You don’t have to be a fan of the TV series to enjoy the game, but it helps. Either way, there’s a solid narrative to experience, first-person. And the gameplay is fun and varied, even if the world feels like a beautiful animatronic amusement park ride at times. If you’re a bloke who fancies a good wallop and a bust up at the local boozer, give Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom a look.
-
Mar 21, 2023A short but sweet VR romp that replicates the Peaky Blinders universe perfectly, even as it runs up against some of the intrinsic limitations of VR gaming on the Meta Quest 2. [Tested on Meta Quest 2]
-
Apr 11, 2023Peaky Blinders is certainly one of the more interesting games created directly for VR, although it suffers from the characteristic ills that accompany this sphere. The shorter length can be justified by a fairly solid dynamic story, where you have the impression that for a moment you have entered a film with the usual footage.

Mar 9, 2023Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom is authentic to its source material and it’s good to see Maze Theory create an original in-universe story that leverages new material recorded by members of the original cast, such as Cillian Murphy. However, the many issues and simplistic gameplay mean that The King’s Ransom is probably only of interest to the most hardcore fans of the show. Gorgeous environments, an engaging story and quality voice acting aren’t enough to lift the game beyond what is ultimately an average VR experience.
