    My main disappointments with Patrician IV were the bland and boring graphics and the arcade-style sea combat. RoaD delivers some really nice improvements to the graphics, making the game much more enjoyable to play. Unfortunately the sea combat is till a boring clickfest, the predecessor Patrician III had much more deep and interesting approach to the fights.     If you're a fan of trading games you'll enjoy Patrician IV just as much as you probably enjoyed the previous three games. While there isn't as much of an improvement to graphics as there could have been, that has never been the series strong suit.

    The ship combat could have been done a lot better, but that's not the focus of the game and everyone knows it. People who play trading games like myself tend to not like to let battles auto-decide because the AI that steps in for you is awful, meaning you lose more, which is unacceptable to those of us who sweat the details.    … Expand

    Umalo da bude 10 mada se jesam realno zaludeo i top je igrica, fali joj bukvalno jedna dobra expanzija da bude 10 bas sam dosta vremena proveo igrajuci je i uzivajuci steta sto nema tog malog zadnjeg pusha :D

    Patrician IV combined with the add-on is one of the best economic strategies I encountered during the last couple of years. Those of you who are into such games will have a lot of fun with it and probably will be able to let obsolete graphics slide. [September 2011, p.71]

    If you're not already the kind of gamer who obsesses over making an extra 2% rate of return on investment, this game probably isn't for you, but for those that enjoy business simulation games and are willing to put the time into learning how Patrician IV works, this game delivers incredible value.
