    A roguelike shooter with Minecraft graphics. I hoped, I would like it, but I don't. It's average at best. Pickens wants to die.

    Paranautical Activity is an interesting little game. Similar to games like Binding of Isaac, only a first person shooter, with voxel graphics. Never thought I would enjoy this, but it's a fun game. It is fairly hard, and the guides on steam are ?outdated? so some items will be a mystery until use.

    Happy to see it return on steam. Here's hoping for more guns, rooms, loot, monsters,    Paranautical Activity is an interesting little game.     This game is a fast-paced retro style first person shooter and it is AMAZING. I can't remember the time i had this much fun playing a video game and right now its only $5.99! It is a nice challenge and a very addicting one at that, and it thoroughly deserves a 10 out of 10 from me. If you are even a little interested in this game pick it up, you wont be disappointed!

    Love this fast paced shooter, for the price this game is completely worth it. Hours of fun to be had and updates with new guns, enemies, rooms, levels and passive upgrades all the time. Really worth picking up if you like the old school shooter with arena style gameplay. Can't wait to see whats to come from this game!

    I picked up this game in the recent humble bundle, and I have to say I'm really pleased! The voxel-style FPS is really unique, and the controls are fluent and easy to use. I know this game is currently in development, and it does show in some places.

    I have really enjoyed this game because of its style and music and for a game in beta it really works well. The reason it is 9 not 10 is because I think it is repetitive after playing many runs but this could be easily fixed in an upcoming patch with new weapons enemies and rooms.

    this game is a awesome rogue like/ fps with nice pixel art graphic it a little like the binding of isaac but with guns... if you like rogue like games you cant go wrong with this one.

    Its a fast paced FPS with a Binding of Isaac feel. And for what it is its great. Its extremely fun and addictive and has a great amount of replay value. Every play through you will get a different floor layout which keeps it interesting. Another thing to add is that it is a hard game but you don't feel like it was the games fault like other games which are hard. Definitely wroth the priceIts a fast paced FPS with a Binding of Isaac feel. And for what it is its great. Its extremely fun and addictive and has a great amount of replay value. Every play through you will get a different floor layout which keeps it interesting. Another thing to add is that it is a hard game but you don't feel like it was the games fault like other games which are hard.     When I first saw this, I was excited. Then I bought it for myself and a friend because the devs promised co-op. Now they've backed out of it saying it won't work out, even though they specifically said it was coming and advertised it as multiplayer in many pieces. Devs have been deleting all negative posts on steam, and have been very rude to the audience. Not to mention the game shows aWhen I first saw this, I was excited. The devs have said the next update is the last; all they've shown is garbage. Right now it is bland and repetitive, and the few updates that are 'coming' (if they even come...) are crap. On top of all that, many of the sounds they use in game are licensed on soundcloud under different copyrights, some being that they have to be credited, others being they can't be used at all. The dev doesn't credit any of them and claims they are all entirely legal, which is very clearly false if you look at the discussions page's post about copyright infringement. Ugh.

I was hoping for an at least mildly-entertaining roguelike: lots of cool powerups that work together in various ways, a large variety of enemies that require different strategies to defeat, etc. Instead, every room of every floor is the same: strafeI was excited when I heard this was like an FPS version of Binding of Isaac; but unfortunately, I got three floors in and got super-board. The variety of enemies is also extremely small (at least on the first three floors). If you enjoyed Hard Reset or the original Quake, you might enjoy this game; but if you prefer the deeper, more strategical FPS games like Half Life or Deus Ex, you'll probably want to look elsewhere.… Expand

    The pros are it has a fun, neon art style, reminiscent of Tron. It has a variety of weapons both classic and unusual (such as a shotgun and boomerang sickle).     Here are the cons. Firstly, there is something broken with the swivel axis. The point where your mouse movements rotate the player entity is offset from where it normally is in any other FPS. This is unnoticeable if you rotate standing still, but once you rotate while moving (especially while strafing) the angles are all wrong. After a few hours you can get used to it, but once you play a different FPS you'll have to get used to it again.

    The items you can pickup are tiny 2D sprites which are easy to miss. When an enemy drops an item upon death, the item does not fall to the ground, so if a flying enemy drops an item you'll see the item floating near the ceiling and you probably won't be able to reach it. Also, picking up loot is more tedious here than The Binding of Isaac because the rooms are larger here and the items are harder to see, even with a small glow.

    The weapons are balanced in general, but the bosses aren't. Depending on your weapons some bosses are easy and some are near impossible, and there's no way of knowing ahead of time which bosses you will face.

    The enemies have hardly any animation or sound effects, which results in enemies that have far less personality than they could have. This game doesn't have many sound effects in general. Some people like the music, but I felt it didn't fit the game and just was thrown in.

    This game has (or should I say had) potential, I bought the game and thought that the game would be decent, sad to say, it isn't (developers lacks proper conduct, cancelled features but kept it on the steam page, using their public twitter profile instead of making one strictly for professional use, amongst others).     Big fan of this fabulous roguelike FPS. It finally comes to console (Wii U) this week, but I REALLY hope the rumours of a planned PS Vita version are true. Paranautical Activity would rock on Vita! Great game, highly recommended :0)

    Paranautical Activity is a game that tries to mix FPS and Rogue-like mechanics. There is a constant support from the developers, and the peculiar random maps give the game a potentially unlimited longevity. If this type of support will be maintained even after the official release, at the launch we will face a quality product that will do nothing but improve with time.
