    Spent many hours playing it and I can say that it is "just" a good game. Why? Well, I wouldn't call it "free Overwatch" as many people tend to do because it's different. Graphic style (unfortunately, I've experienced many glitches and graphic bugs) is not simiiar at all, gameplay offeres many distinc features like riding horses or using cards to empower you and your abilities. In my humbleSpent many hours playing it and I can say that it is "just" a good game. Why? Well, I wouldn't call it "free Overwatch" as many people tend to do because it's different. Graphic style (unfortunately, I've experienced many glitches and graphic bugs) is not simiiar at all, gameplay offeres many distinc features like riding horses or using cards to empower you and your abilities. In my humble opinion game deserves even higher note. like 8.5, but bugs (I had a lot of problems with Easy-Anti cheat, DirectX problems, etc. - It was the first time, when I came across such a problem) ruined the fun a bit to be honest.… Expand

    Paladins is a hero shooter, much in the likes of Overwatch, but with more pronounced MOBA elements. The cast of numerous characters is colorful and they all have their own personality, even though some of them come off as rushed or not very well thought out.     What makes Paladins special is its unique Card system, which allows you to customize each and every hero with your personal play style. It’s rare that you’ll see two players using a certain hero the same way, and this makes the game less stale overtime than other similar offerings. Because of this, each and every game ends up playing differently, and this is exactly what I love about the game.

    The in game economy is based on cosmetic only loot boxes, which means that despite being free to play and not counting individual skill, no player will ever be stronger than another.

    The game receives updates, events and new heroes extremely frequently. Even though some bugs and glitches tend to stay longer than necessary at times, they rarely become game breaking or end up taking away from the enjoyment of the game.

    Paladins is a free to play title that simply doesn’t feel like one, and this balance is very difficult to achieve nowadays. A well crafted card system, colorful heroes and good shooting mechanics make this game a joy to play, allowing it to stand out among the crowd of otherwise stale titles offered by much more renowned names in the industry.    … Expand

    I've been playing this game since early Closed Beta.
    Nothing has changed since the, it's still filled with bugs, bad balancing.

    This used to be an exciting game, now it just feels like a major cash grab. Skins everywhere.

    Paladins is a very good game however the big problem with the game is the developers. they are very money driven, to the point were they would release the game even though it still had tons of bugs, just so they could put on the switch. the game is also very buggy and the developers usually will try and make more money then fix them.

    Here's my personal experience with "Hi-Rez Studios" and "Easy Anti-Cheat" and "Paladins" as a whole. I first joined the game a few days ago after getting a little bored of Overwatch and as I progressively played and unlocked some content with my decent aim from all my experience in games like this one... I proceeded to buy around $82.00 worth of extra content however from this moment onHere's my personal experience with "Hi-Rez Studios" and "Easy Anti-Cheat" and "Paladins" as a whole. I first joined the game a few days ago after getting a little bored of Overwatch and as I progressively played and unlocked some content with my decent aim from all my experience in games like this one... I proceeded to buy around $82.00 worth of extra content however from this moment on was down hill. After spending a lot of hard earned money on this game I wanted to show off my new content in training mode with fellow players in which we all face AI bots. I had a really good round I was having a blast but my Bluetooth Xbox One remote (The one I use for most the games I play on PC) started to die and usually when that happens while playing any game on my system it causes a memory leak or some kind of heavy glitch that takes down my FPS and crashes the game till my batteries are replaced. Long story short the game crashed after my controller died well I thought no biggie I'll just re-log like I do every time my controller crashes a game... well I re-log and come back to a big fat banned screen their anti-cheat had detected the glitch as a cheat and banned me right as it happened! I was not upset right off the bat however I was instantly concerned about my account and sent in a support ticket explaining what happened, after a few days they hit me back with some generic message almost auto like response explaining how I cheated and I was banned for breaking the rules. I was very frustrated at this point because they not only sent me a generic response but they also flat out ignored my concerns with what was going on. I thought okay I will try to find another way to contact them so I headed to the Paladins Reddit Discord server and contacted a few employees only to be told to send in another support ticket... I went ahead and filed another support ticket with Hi-Rez and got the same automated message saying I was banned for cheating. I continued to search for one last bit of hope so I had a private discussion with a Hi-Rez Steam Discussions admin, who had validated mine and others concerns with this games anti-cheat and told me to send in a support ticket. I sent in this final ticket explaining yet again what happened and got the same exact generic automated response. I never cheated. This is a honest review of my experience with Paladins and this company, This is also not a public ban appeal discussion I'm not trying to get un-banned anymore however I would suggest you switch to Steams anti-cheat system because others all over the web are expressing the same issues with "Easy Anti-Cheat".… Expand

    Worse game ever created, developers don't listen to their customers (players). They are destroying the game with their own hands. I don't recommend this game to anyone. I have spent 2.5 years in this game, with the hope it will be changed somehow, but it is dying and developers don't care at all.

    3. Balanced game mode: Siege is the main game mode and personally it’s the main reason I love Paladins. How many times have you felt hopeless after a defend or attack round in OW, TF2 or Dirty Bomb? In Siege, you have a chance to win till the last overtime.

    The objective is taking control of the “Capture Point” by standing on it. Once it’s captured, a payload spawns and the score changes from 0-0 to 1-0 for the team that capped the point.
    The team in the lead has to escort the payload into the enemy base before the 2:30 minutes mark. A successful payload push would give another point to the leading team, making the score 2-0. A successful defense from the losing team would equalize the score (1-1). First team reaching 4 points wins, and you can’t earn the fourth score by defending, but only by capturing the point or pushing the payload.

    You could say: “But if I’m losing 2-0, I practically lost!” And you wouldn’t be more wrong. The team with the score disadvantage captures the point with a faster rate, meaning you have to stay less time on the point to cap it.

    The fight is never over until the last fight, and this is why I love this game    … Expand

    Now for the game-play, i have been playing Paladins for over a year and a half and I still am not bored with it. You can change your whole champion with the Cards and Legendary system. You create loadouts for your champions and you have 20 cards which you can choose from which you can change however you like,the loadouts contain 5 cards of your liking, they can be leveled up to the max level which is level 5 or you can have them at level 1 but with all your 5 cards combined they have to have 15 levels. The cards are completely free once you unlock the champion.In every match you have an item shop which you can buy 4 Items from the selection of 16. The categories are as follow:Defensive,Healing,Utility and Offensive Items, the credits needed to purchase these cards are earned in the match you currently are playing and depends on how well you are doing you get more credits and can buy more items and upgrade your already purchased items to make them even stronger.
    To unlock a champion it only takes some gold which you earn while playing the game and completing daily quests, don't worry it isn't grindy at all i have stacks on stacks of gold like literally i have 2 Million gold in the game and the most expensive champion costs 60K gold. All of Paladins champions deal tons of damage and do their role fantastically, the supports aren't just some heal bots they actually help the team with their healing, crowd control and their lethal damage. Everything feels viable and its true that almost all of the champions are viable but balancing a game can never be accomplished but Paladins is so close to perfecting it for both casual players and the pro players.

    I haven't spent a single penny in the game and I have the same advantages as the people that spent a 100 dollars on it. I have plenty of skins because of the generous crystals earned daily logins that they offer.

    Every game has its downs and Paladins doesn't have many but still has some, which are various bugs and glitches but they can be fixed in future patches and they are trying their best with fixing as many as they can every patch, in the newest patch they fixed around 20 bugs which are many because they tend to update every 2 weeks to fix balancing and bugs and every 6 weeks they have an update which adds new champions, new events, heavy bug fixes and many gorgeous skins.
    Paladins can be run on potato computers and still get good fps. The graphics are very fantasy like and immerse you into its world. Even if you have a very high end computer Paladins still looks very beautiful on maximum graphics and the FPS is at the maximum limit on my medium computer.

    If the Paladins team keeps going at this pace and maintain their aggressive updating their game would become one of the best hero shooter if not the best, obviously they have Overwatch to compete against but both of them are very different and people might like Paladins more than Overwatch and vice versa.

    I prefer Paladins over Overwatch because in Paladins you can completely change your whole champion the way you want to play it and you can counter play everything from crowd control, healing, damage taken and more and more with the help of the item shop and with the help of the Cards and Legendary system you can customise your whole deck to counter a specific set of enemies. You can store up 5 loadouts per champion which is plenty.    … Expand

It is true that Paladins had rough Open Beta Patches, and it is true that it also had questionable monetization, but with the help of the community, Paladins has become better than ever with a fair monetization modelI have been playing Paladins ever since June of 2017 ( OB 51 i believe ) and i cannot describe how much of a roller coaster Paladins has been in my life until its launch. It is true that Paladins had rough Open Beta Patches, and it is true that it also had questionable monetization, but with the help of the community, Paladins has become better than ever with a fair monetization model (that is one of the best for F2P where you can unlock everything by simply playing the game ) while maintaining at its core a VERY fun game. that is unique from its other competitors.
    What makes Paladins' game play so fun and deep is its Cards Deck Building where you can change a Champions playstyle depending on the deck you have chosen made of 5 cards out of 20 and 1 talent out of 4.
    A support champion like Pip would choose Mega Potion Talent to focus more on healing while he would choose Catalyst Talent to increase his explosives' dmg turning him into a Flank.
    A Front line like Ash can choose Fortress Talent to increase the size of her shield making her a point tank, Battering Ram Talent to grant her a 90% dmg reduction upon using her Dash charge making her perfect for dive comps that messes up the enemy's team backline and get information and get away safely., or Slug Shot Talent turning her into a long range backline sniper.
    A Damage like Drogoz can choose Fusillade Talent making his direct rockets deal more dmg encourage skill aiming, Combustible Talent where his Fire Spits punishes the enemy for grouping up with wide explosions, or W.R.Y.M Jets Talent increasing his jets speed making him a hybrid of flank and dmg that can dive.
    A flank like Zhin, can choose Guil Talent to make his Ult a guarantee kill that he can use to get rid of important targets like Front Lines in the beginning of a round, or Yomi Talent making his every third shot have infinite range and increased dmg granting him a better poke dmg, Retaliation Talent making his counter ability last more thus turning him into a literal Front Line, or Smolder Talent that makes him regenerate health during his billow ability making him a self-sufficient dive flank.
    These are only 4 out of 32 champions that all have unique abilities, talents and card decks, which is exactly what makes me comeback into paladins everyday for the past year. Don't let others discourage you from enjoying Paladins, grab some friends and have some quality time.    … Expand

    One of the best multiplayer games I have ever had the pleasure on enjoying, and on top of that? It's FREE! Recommend to anyone, skilled gamer or not, you'll enjoy it! Give it a good go, I've been enjoying it for well over a year and continue to just find new happiness with it. HiRez excelled themselves on this.

    I started playing near OB 50. There were some problems at some time but the game pulled through. The developers even commented why they had to do such controversial changes. Other than that, the game is a pure joy. I enjoyed every single one of it. I will do my best to review it.

    Sound: The sound is very good. The game has different voices for each epic skins and there are tons of epic skins. The voice of the skin complements the personality of the skins and anime dubbers are payed to do voice for the skins. So the sound quality is awesome. Also the game is more silly than you expect it to be, So some of the champions will be talking with each other in memes and songs. One of the voice of champion is wholly based on meme music. Its all good fun.

    Character: Now this is where paladins is very creative. Its characters are fantasy based so there is no restriction. They can create original concepts or add elves, dwarfs, giants and dragons( game has all of this). Also being hero shooter, kit of the champions should be good for enjoyment and it is. Some skills are awesome, some are hilarious, each and every champion is unique in personality and kit. So paladins is excellent in this category. So Hirez are not restricted in this category. They have a lot of great choices to make champions from and they have proved it. The game has currently 36 champion and a new unique support champion is coming in early June.

    Gameplay: The gameplay is also unique and has its own quirk. It has just the right amount of speed. Its not too fast paced and not too slow paced. Also the time to kill is higher than other games in this genre so players have to position themselves perfectly, change positions regularly and when you kill someone, you feel awarded. There are very few one hit kill and they each have their limitation. Also the map is symmetrical and there are very creative systems in place that seem mundane at first but help to increase your fun in game like mounts. The mount system allows you to get to points faster in a long map, allows you to flank easily. After playing with mount system, you will want it in other games.

    Cards and customization: So this is where the game excels at. By customization, I dont mean aesthetic. By choosing five cards from more than 15 cards, and allocating points on them, you basically change how you play the champion. You can add points on the speed increase if you kill someone, or gain health, shield, damage reduction and other stuff. I am just trying to simplify it. Basically you have a standard champion and you shape him however you want and what suits your play style. Also there are legendary cards that you pick one out of 4 or more and it changes your champion more than the cards mentioned above. You can make tanks do more damage and make them have more mobility so they can flank and deal damage easily and you can make a flank a support by increasing their healing radius so it also affects your team mate. This created many meta where tanks were flanking, supports were dishing damage like crazy, damages champions were zooming around and flanks were healing. If you think this is chaos, then it is not, there are built in measures to stop it if you want. If tank is attacking you head on with his shield, then you can buy in match items that you buy with credits from killing enemies in the same match which will deal more damage to shields, you can also buy items to reduce healing, increase healing, increase mobility, increase ultimate charge rate, reduce damage from aoe or direct, increase range of visibility of invisible champions, etc. You will play the game how you want in each match and each match will be different even if your team and the opponents team choose the same champion. So this category makes paladins unique and best among its genre.

    Bugs: The bugs have reduced a lot from its beta phase. There are also bugs patches each 2 weeks or sooner if the game demands it. Only about 2 bugs present are a little bit annoying but they are being addressed in this week's patch.

    So this game doesn't has any cons abut it. The game is very much community focused and is evolving and its toxicity is near zero. The match making is a little bit awkward when it is not a common time to play but now after the launch and more players coming to the game, it will be better.

    TLDR: So from a gamer to gamer. if you are looking for a good hero shooter fps game, then this is the game for you. Its casual and competitive at the same time. You wont regret it.    … Expand

    There are people in here telling you that the game is not pay to win. That is extremely misleading. You have to pay for individual "champions". You can use in-game currency but like other games with a similar formula, the currency is slow in coming. Don't fall for it. Just buy Overwatch. It's cheaper and you get 100% of the game.

    The newest knock-off game by Hirez. Now hero shooters are the new big thing and here's Hirez to capitalize on the hype by making another copy of a game already from the genre.

    What you expect to find is what you get. A mediocre copy from a mediocre studio. Hopefully they don't give up on smite, the only thing they have really going for them.

    There are people in here telling you that the game is not pay to win. That is extremely misleading. You have to pay for individual "champions". You can use in-game currency but like other games with a similar formula, the currency is slow in coming. Don't fall for it. Just buy Overwatch. It's cheaper and you get 100% of the game.

    Also, game contains many bugs, but hey, what game doesn't have it?

Разработчики не стесняются общаться со своим комьюнити, могут в юмор и вкладывают в развитие игры кучу усилий (Обещают, что крупные обновления будут выходить каждые 6 недель, а между крупными обновлениями будут проводить мелкие изменения и правки)
    Хвалить игру можно очень долго, но пиарщики и сами все достоинства покажут в деталях, хотелось бы рассказать о минусах, которые я очень надеюсь в будущем будут исправлены:
    1) Игра работает не стабильно, хоть все и говорят, что она сделана для слабых ПК имеются проблемы ( у меня не такой уж и слабый компьютер). Во-первых, если ваша игра затянется больше, чем на 3-4 часа за одну сессию, ждите проседание фпс до 20-30. Во-вторых, после последнего обновления почему-то фпс в игре не подымается выше 60 (ранее был 175, не уверен, что проблема в игре, но стоит обратить внимание, т.к. игра очень зависит от установленных на ПК вспомогательных программ)
    2) Плохая рейтинговая система, не знаю как у других, но у меня либо идут 10 побед подряд, либо 10 поражений. Другого не дано (В быстрых играх такой проблеммы нет, актуально только для рейтинговых)
    3) Мало игровых режимов. Для быстрой игры всего два, а именно: "осада" и "схватка" (включает, два режима "натиск" и "командный бой на смерть"), рейтинговая игра имеет всего один сценарий, аналогичный режиму "осада".
    4) Баги. Лично я встречаю баги и вылеты редко, но в группе ВКонтакте часто вижу скриншоты с багами и читаю возмущенния игроков, поэтому лучше не ждать, что игра будет работать идеально
    Однако, не смотря на все неприятности, я рекомендую ознакомится с Paladins, потому что игра имеет разработчиков, которые готовы развивать проект. В каждом обновлении можно увидеть исправление багов, часто будут проходить ивенты, что разнообразит игровой процесс, а правильная рекламная компания и поддержка со стороны игроков позволит сделать хороший подбор в рейтинге.    … Expand

    Paladins is a marvelous free-to-play hero shooter packed with fun mechanics and reasonable micro-transactions. Being developed and published by a not-so-big studio, it has its own ups and downs in the art, technical and business department. But hey, it's free-to-play, low spec, beginner friendly and not pay-to-win at all, what else are you asking for.

My personal hypothesis is that the game is now a side project only kept alive to finance another yet unannounced project. No surprise the number of active players, which never was really large, keeps getting lower.

    ++ Good ++
    + You start a game by selecting a legendary card (out of 3 for each hero) and a hand of cards (out of 20 cards for each champ). They change stats, behavior of your weapon or the functionality of some moves. They allow for varied playstyles and flexibility.
    + Good hero roster with many original concepts (and a few less original...) for a total of 40 heroes, most of which having 2 to 4 alts
    + Alts have all of their voice lines rewritten and voiced by a new voice actor!

    00 Meh... 00
    0 ok BGM, nothing too fancy and the handful of tracks running in repeat will get old quickly
    0 Too few game modes. One payload mode and two variations of death match.
    0 Seems they have run out of ideas for heroes, sadly. The last 3 released have been:
    1/ an angel with a gunsword (she cannot fly and the gunsword can't be used as a sword, go figure)
    2/ a Kakashi Hatake clone with an attitude, unbalanced
    3/ a pirate with a grenade launcher, braindead gameplay

    -- Bad --
    - Broken to the point of making the likes of FallOut 76 look like marvels of engineering. The reason why so few people make fun of Paladins compared to FO76 is probably its low visibility.
    - Every single sub-system of this game has MANY BUGS, many of which are game breaking and a lot of them having been present for several months
    - Too little content after so many years. Worse, they took the decision to remove one of the modes last year (payload) for no reason, reducing the amount of content even further.
    - Catastrophic hit detection. Absolutely unacceptable for a shooter.
    - The last map, added several weeks ago, still has multiple collision issues, broken textures, poor lighting in places...
    - Relatively frequent crashes on all platforms, they also reset your keybindings every time if you manage to restart in time to join your game
    - After so many years, you would expect the bots (which replace players AFK or dropped) to at least be able to leave spawn and shoot in the direction of the enemy. Sadly it is not the case, 90% of the time, bots will just get stuck in door frames or run in circle... Wish this was a joke...
    - The economics of the game have changed at least 3 times over the last few years and are still broken. All players have ridiculous amounts of gold and there are no gold sinks. To "fix" this, devs have added the possibility to PURCHASE LEVELS with gold. Now levels mean nothing, great idea, guys!
    - Matchmaking has been catastrophic for most of the game's existence and players have been complaining about it. What did the devs do? They removed the colored frame that indicates your team mates rank, so you can't tell any more if the MM is bad or not. Classy.
    - No more bans for bad behavior? If a user is punished after you reported him, you get a notification. But for the last few months, it seems not even death threats can get you ban...

    A quick selection of bugs, just to give you an idea how broken this game is. At this point, this is shameful. Evil Mojo do NOT give a duck about their game and this needs to be remember. To be fair, I'm only listing bugs that happen frequently and have been present for SEVERAL MONTHS at this point:
    - broken BGM, SFX (including footsteps and some attacks), voiceFX (triggering for no reason, randomly quieter or louder, etc...)
    - broken "grab" moves either don't grab the opponent or on rare occasions send them flying indefinitely
    - broken GUI (score not updating...) and menus
    - broken ragdoll and random flying corpses
    - broken death cam, team cam, "play of the game" cam, snipers' scope cam
    - random MM glitches, disconnects and crashes that will give you a 30 min ban
    - IG lag indicator always gives a ping of 15, no matter what.
    - keybindings reset after every crash
    - some moves have out of sync SFX, VFX and actual effect. Making it unfairly hard to fight, as some moves lack any feedback audio or visual.
    - 2 heroes keep shouting the same line for no reason
    - a visual "link" appearing between two players of opposing team, making it possible to see where the other player is anywhere on the map
    - 2 of the tanks currently plagued by multiple bugs making them basically unplayable (picking them is not far from losing on purpose). It was confirmed they will not be fixed in next update    … Expand

    Pros - Pleasant graphics, this game is very similar to Overwatch and it's pretty good.
    Cons - Balance (if you invest in the game, then you can get all the characters at once and for the victory, the awards are not very valuable.), Bugs.

This game is a lousy piece of **** that will make you pull the hairs out your head. Lastly, I just got banned for 3 days and I literally have no understanding as to why. I try to be kind to players and I play very well and then this happens. IM SO DONE!

    Good graphics, good universe : a melt of fantasy and sci-fi is a nice touch.
    Wonderful soundtrack.

    Many heroes to play, even free players can unlock the characters they want really fast.

    Not pay-to-win mechanics :
    You can buy cosmetics for your favorite character,
    but you can't buy victory !

    A pleasure to play at a low cost !

This is the absolute worst and needs to be patched before people’s cool downs begin to get insane. (It doubles every time.) this same glitch has also happened mid game. I legitimately enjoyed the game in its beta - a bit less during OB64 - and overall I spent about 200 hours give or take and I was looking forward for its final release...

    ...but sadly I'm not sure I'll keep on playing for that much longer though.

    First things first, I do like that the game is free to play but allows (or allowed?) to purchase the current heroes and future ones and that's how I kept coming back essentially: new heroes got released and I gave it a look, maybe trying the new heroes and probably move on: I went with the pack and I'm glad I did because I get always new heroes for free now...but at what cost now.

    I want to be straightforward: i don't like the lootboxes idea in this game, which is probably even worse than OW.

    In OW you can buy lootboxes for your costumes BUT you also got the possibility to buy them with coins: it's expensive but it's there, and you got your skin, done.

    In Paladins it's a mixed bag: you can buy skins with crystals but ONLY some costumes, but the rest are in lootboxes. For instance I want to buy one of Seris skins? well time to spend cash on the specific lootbox...yes I said specific, because there are multiple lootboxes to choose from, each giving specific skins of specific type.

    Suuuure, you can buy specific skins too, but if you want to buy some specific ones you have to buy them when on a limited sale or else...well they might return later on but by that time you wouldn't care much. Seriously why such a big deal?! This literally killed my mood because I did like some of these skins, I wanted to buy them, but I didn't care enough to gamble at the lootbox! Sure you also get some occasional bonus to unlock some older skins (like Archangel Tyra right now) but COME ON, I just want one skin or two and move on Jesus!

    And what about the battle pass? Because that's a thing now: PUBG did it, Fortnite did it, now also this game did it. I guess it's their way to remove the VIP system (when it had FOUR currencies to track off). Still it's about 13 euros (for me) per month and while you can do without a "sub", you essentially unlock "nothing" with it but few stupid sprays, boosts and additional gold - while if you sub you get emotes, skins, you name it.

    People complain about how OW is all about gambling and how lootboxes should be banned, but paladins does this and more and everyone is fine? OH BECAUSE IT'S FREE, OF COURSE THEN IT'S FINE...freaking hypocrites.

    In conclusion, this game is just a shell of its former glory - or what glory it could've been: it's not BAD, it's not pay to win or anything but it's clear they're too busy making skins and making us pay more money for stuff that feels just there for making us spend. I do care about skins but not to the point of spending more money than a sub.
    Leave that scammy practice to Final Fantasy 14 please.

    Give it a try and see for yourself, but I sincerely lost interest by now.

    PS: personal opinion, the heroes are uninspired, boring looking, and really don't fit with the world in my opinion...yes hi-rez changing your goblin mech into a wooden mech, or kinessa rifle into a lesser technological one STILL won't change the fact that those two don't fit (and what about freaking Moji? Pip? Willo? I swear they're so out of place, but that's just my opinion and it didn't affect the score))    … Expand

    Update: Im dropping my original score from an 8 to a 5. After significant time playing, the game has really taken steps back. Its basically because the player base has dwindled to badly due to poor matchmaking, bugs based on the games spagetti code that the programmers obviously have no clue how to manage, and over priced skins.     Recently installed Paladins after abandoning Overwatch after 2 years of hundreds of hours of gameplay. Paladins at first looks lackluster, literally, compared to the bright cartoon-like graphics of Overwatch. Although, this is the ONLY aspect of Overwatch I feel is better than Paladins. Paladins has more heroes to pick from, and has a very unique system of using abilitiy boosting cards in each match, along with skills you can pick for each mach. This makes EVERY match unique and different from the next. See, in Overwatch, a particular hero is going to play exactly the same in each match. The only difference is the abilities of the player playing the hero. In Paladins, depending on what ability cards, and skill cards you choose to use, your hero will play very differently from game to game. I find this so refreshing. Overwatch developed many problems over the 2 years I played it, and Blizzard only made those worse. Paladins beats Overwatch in the most important aspect of the game.......Gameplay. Graphics do not mean anything if the gameplay is awful. This is why Paladins to me is a better product than Overwatch can ever hope to be.    … Expand

    What a waste of a perfectly functional game. Hi-Rez and their demented decision making have run this game into the **** ground when it could've been awesome. Refusal to fix the bugs, all effort on skins and useless balance changed with zero transparency. Why have you done this, Hi-Rez?

    As a free to play game Paladins is good fun and you do not need a powerful pc to run it at a stable framerate BUT yes I am going to say it Overwatch is more fun and has a more iconic diverse of heroes to which Paladins feels its playing catch up with BUT Overwatch is a full price game and Paladins is not its free to its hard to compare.

    A very fun and good game. This game is having monetization, of course, but you can play it without any donation. Paladins is balanced, and you can obtain all characters and the starter ones are pretty good. I liked game's visuals and gameplay. Sometimes it's better than Overwatch.

    This game helped me a lot with my sorrow due to death of my grandmother because of covid-19 disease...I lived with her all my childhood. And now I'm 27, and I can't forget that memories. I'm really grateful that I can distract a little.

    One day ago this game was a perfect rating for me. This newest update ruined the entire game and I do not recommend getting the game right now if you haven't yet. Wait for them to fix it or just don't get it at all.

    From what I've played this game is really fun and really underrated. I haven't encountered any problems with cheaters, the game is very balanced, each character/class is fun to play. I wish there was a few more game modes, but as it stands currently this game is worth a try, especially because it's free. I haven't played Overwatch, so I can't really make any comparisons there.     its a good game. really good to play with friends. even tho it lacks some quality and polish that other games in the same genre have, and those are free too, still i enjoyed all the hours i invested but its not a solid recommendation.

    Gameplay section

    Paladins is a competitive team-based shooter game. It is nothing like Halo, Fortnite or Valorant because it's a game that works in many ways. There is a selection of game modes to play in. One is a team deathmatch mode and there's also an onslaught mode and a Seige mode team. Deathmatch is focused on eliminating other players and the first team to 40 eliminations wins.
    in the onslaught mode,
    There is a zone that your team has to stand in. The longer you stand in the zone, the more points you get. The first team to 400 wins. Finally, the way siege mode works is this -at first there is a zone, the same as onslaught, but once you capture the zone with 50 points then it spawns a cart with fireworks in it and a zone around it you have to push the payload to the oppositions' frontline base area.
    The first team to get 4 points wins the match. You can choose a champion and there are different heroes to choose from. Each hero has a class, either support frontline, flank or damage.
    Support are pretty much medics that can deal damage and heal. Your team frontline is a champion with a load of armour and health, so will take a lot of damage, but can do a fair bit of damage too. The flank class is kind of a stealthy assassin so you will have to learn teamwork skills to win.
    A champion that is in damage class is quite vulnerable, but packs a punch on foot can eliminate a frontline fast. To succeed in this great game you will have to have teamwork skills, otherwise your team is useless. The controls are easy to pick up and play straight away!
    Ranked Seige mode is competitive, fast and frantic you get placed in a league - first Qualifying, then Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and finally Grandmaster.
    It automatically grades you in a league and the ratio of how many matches you win and how many you lose.

    One of the champions Evie says in a voice pack "Give them hell" and Ash, a frontline champion, says "I'm leading this vanguard. So if any of you F***ers have anything to say, now is the time." fortunately Ashes swear is bleeped you can just hear the letter f come out of her mouth so you can tell it's explicit and there is a voice chat that doesn't
    work if your account is set under 15 years of age ,so it's locked.

    In conclusion, I think this game shows great teamwork, medium violence and great fast gameplay, so I would recommend an age of something around 8 or lower. Therefore, I reckon that it shows great teamwork and positive messages. The language is easy to handle because if you don't play the game with volume when you are playing as the hero Ash -then it is fine!!

    This game used to be good and it was made with FUN in mind. But then company had to make bad hires and slowly they sturted pumping out predictable politics. Not as bas as another game by this publisher (already dead) Rogue Squadron, but still.

    Fun game, unique hero skill, loadout & talent. I love how i can change support hero as flanker/damage hero, frontline hero as support, etc.

    A solid, enjoyable hero shooter, varied and polished. Yes, it does have a lot of Overwatch DNA, but in some areas it’s more advanced than Blizzard’s game (e.g. wide range of adjustments you can make to adapt your character to your playing style) and it’s free. [08/2018, p.62]

    Paladins shouldn’t be seen just as the free alternative to Overwatch but, instead, should be praised as one of the best multiplayers nowadays. A great and addictive game that will surely entertain every kind of player thanks to its accessibility and well-developed mechanics.
