    Jesus Christ. When a hugely popular game gets released and a huge influx of customers jump onto the game, yes it’s going to have server issues! The game itself is phenomenal. Give the demo a try. If you like the demo even a little, you’ll love the game. It’s a looter shooter, so treat it as such. It’s linear, and never claimed to be otherwise.     The shooting is great, campaign is long, tons of interesting side quests and a crafting/mod system that can keep you busy for many hours coming up with interesting builds. A few quality of life patches and this game could be nearly perfect.

    Masterpiece, 10/10. True that servers was an issue first 2-3 days, but NO reason to downvote a game for that. Last 2 days had no problems at all.
    Graphics runs very smooth, 1440P with dlss quality, all maxed (10900K+3080)

    Best game out there today, buy it!!!

    If Destiny 2 and The Division 2 had a child it would be Outriders, and with touch of Doom Eternal to the pace of the combat, you have the best tps of the moment, and a great game overall! Good graphics, excelent performance, the only downside is the lack of gaas elements and mechanics, the game screams gaas on your face all the time but never deliver the full experience as it should be!

    I'm having a blast with this game on Xbox Series X, mostly solo. The abilities combined with satisfying combat feels amazing, and the difficulty is just the right amount of challenging. Beating the first boss after finding the best combination of gear and skills, and grinding for some upgrades is something I may not have done in another game, instead of just moving on to something else.I'm having a blast with this game on Xbox Series X, mostly solo.     I am trying to be as fair to this game as possible: While it is in principle enjoyable in coop as a linear arena cover shooter (I am sorry, that open world suggesting opening sequence is just a fake), it has quite a few problems:
    *) Game does not try to reconnect on connection loss (sic!): E.g. I was recently disconnected during a long frortline battle, and the game respawned our squad    I am trying to be as fair to this game as possible: While it is in principle enjoyable in coop as a linear arena cover shooter (I am sorry, that open world suggesting opening sequence is just a fake), it has quite a few problems:
    *) Game does not try to reconnect on connection loss (sic!): E.g. I was recently disconnected during a long frortline battle, and the game respawned our squad at the beginning of the encounter...
    *) Lots of bugs: Sometimes one cannot run, cannot revive other players, etc
    *) Enemies often appear out of nowhere when one goes into an empty looking part of the current battle zone
    *) The game has lots of invisible walls - in 2021... *sigh*
    *) Running back to a restock oftentimes triggers a "do not leave your allies" or "do not lead enemies to your allies" message + countdown, which either resets the encounter or teleports you right next to a powerful boss enemy
    *) Interface is clonky
    *) Graphics quality is uneven and not always AAA
    *) Path indicator does not always work, and sometimes sends you to the wrong location
    *) Buy if you love this type of game, otherwise I would highly recommend to wait until it is out of Early Access / Beta...    … Expand

Great loot and dynamic skill trees (to include 100s of weapons mods, each changing the gameplay) AND scaling gameplay difficulty keeping it on-demand challenging. This is a great basis and new universe for more to come.

    game out couple days and the whining about online servers - give devs 2 weeks like every other launch.

    game is fantastic - nasty mix of gears of war and the division. combat a+ and nasty, challenging - 16 levels - possibly most challenging game made. play solo for now...

    Unimaginative game with a lot of technical problems. The gameplay is basically a Avatar-Like storygame/lootshooter with multiplayer support. Besides that, I've seen nothing that makes that game standout, except myriad of bugs that made me restart the game like 10 times, just to finish the prologue. I cant recommend.

Almost like the game is Afraid to go 30 seconds without shooting at something. I feel like at literally any point in the story they could have slowed down and got us invested a little more. They did on purpose, I think, which makes the missions feel meaningless. They are Only a point to get XP and reach endgame. Only other gripe I have is that the cover system is so Well Made... yet almost Completely useless. I am currently farming level 46 items and taking cover just feels like a time waster unless I am reloading.

    The weapons are numerous with multiple styles, there are tons and tons of mods to gather and expirement with and as i said earlier, the game is just Fun. It will get repetative after a while so I hope some more content is on its way.

    I am hopeful for the future of this game, it can be great. But the poor launch really stunted any splash this game otherwise would have made. But with the few issues I have with the game, ontop of constant crashes and gameplay interuptions... I really wish I could give this a higher rating. I hope we get to see DLC like making our own cult or collecting meta resources to upgrade our camp or some kind of illusion that what we do Matters in the game. But it all just feels...... shooty shoot looty loot and shooty shoot some more.    … Expand

    El juego es una pasada. Super divertido, y difícil, las mecánicas de combate están super bien, los gráficos son la ostia también.
    Creo que hubo problemas con los servidores el primer día, por eso tiene tantos votos negativos, pero a mi no me ha dado ningún problema.

    Got some crashes here and there. mod system is super fun adds alot to gameplay. Would recommend if you're a fan of d3 get it.

    After updating all drivers I have no problems with the game. Fun and quick gameplay, diverse classes and interesting lore. Playing demo give me a chance to check this game - a full product has everything I wanted and more.

    The Story at the start is a bit cringy and not that good but the more you get into it the better it gets and the Side quests are a must and range from Mad Cultists to Lumberjacks lul.
    Overall the Enviroment isn't too bad on Enoch and there are different zones like Snow, Desert ect.
    The level Design is quite a bit obvious but doesn't make the experience bad in any way.
    Due to the server issues that happen at the moment whom differ from region to region maybe wait a few days until you buy it.    … Expand

    Im loving every second,Its been a long time since Ive played a game thats kept me playing for hours on end,massive amounts of loot,huge variety of enemies and landscapes,tons of customization and so many crazy monsters to kill,I love this game. The weapons feel heavy and pack so much punch and the powers are crazy.     If it wasn't for gamepss i would have never tried this game to be honest, but i litterly spend allready 35h in it since launch i'm currently soo hooked to this game i have to force myself to not play and take breaks, i usually never enjoy Looter games but this is so diffrent from all other looter games even farming is fun in this game which is a thing that allways kills my excitment for aIf it wasn't for gamepss i would have never tried this game to be honest, but i litterly spend allready 35h in it since launch i'm currently soo hooked to this game i have to force myself to not play and take breaks, i usually never enjoy Looter games but this is so diffrent from all other looter games even farming is fun in this game which is a thing that allways kills my excitment for a game if i have to farm but i spend like 6h straight farming one sidemission for Worldtier EXP and gear abd the time flew by me without even knowing the only reason i don't give it a 10/10 is because of some janki facial animations and square enixes poor server handling at launch, other than that i realy do enjoy and love this game been a long time since i got hooked that much on a game.… Expand

    Anyone complaining about server issues, first time playing an online game that had many more players than expected? Ffs, after decades of playing online games this is par. Sure it is disappointing, but grow the f up. It happens, you are hurting a company that actually tries. This is why we can not have nice things.

    Игра ООООЧЕНЬ скучная. Шутер довольно уныл своими однотипными врагами. Сюжет виднеется где-то на заднем плане пусть и со сценками, но привязанными как-то не умело. Нет чего-то надрывного из-за чего проникаешься миром игры. Персонажи своими разговорами тоже не способствуют развитию оных. Мне было скучно после 7 часов игры. Может я и вернусь когда-нибудь в эту игру, но не сейчас, мне нужноИгра ООООЧЕНЬ скучная. Шутер довольно уныл своими однотипными врагами.     I am having an absolute blast playing this game. Sure it has its flaws, but when you can get into the servers it is something else. The Division and Destiny never really vibed well with me so I was hesitant going in, but I've been hooked from the start. I started as Devastator which is basically about facerolling and getting on them. Then, I switched over to the exact opposite, aI am having an absolute blast playing this game.     Это даже не смешно, разрабы обнаглели. Сырой продукт выпускать, мною втридорога куплена 3070, а фризы и залипания есть даже на ней, хотя графика в игре очень средняя, буду требовать возврат

Powers feel good to use shooting is okay, could be better, and the healing mechanics make for a unique experience that is truly fun to play.     Incredible game so far! I have maybe 6 hours into the game, and there is still so much for me to learn and explore. I feel like in terms of the loot system, I have barely scratched the surface. I am starting to put together the pieces and see the true potential in terms of min maxing and optimizing your character, all of the different play styles you can play within a single character.Incredible game so far!     Yes, the servers have had some issues, and there are some performance issues with stuttering on PC, BUT this is not a Cyberpunk level issue in terms of bugs, and there is no lack-of-content issue like in Anthem. This is the real deal in terms of gameplay and content, we just have to be patient and hope that Square Enix, NOT the developers, can fix the servers soon.    … Expand

The dialog and voice acting are a bit on the cheese side but it reminds me of their previous title, Bulletstorm. Mods fundamentally change the way your class works and the way you play providing a payer of depth that I was pleasantly surprised. This is not the Division this is not Destiny. It doesn't play like either of these titles or like Squares most recent release, Avengers. Absolutely do not sleep on this title. Also ignore PCGAMER this person clearly doesn't understand how to play the game. This game by the end shows there is so much more that we can get from this hopefully long living franchise, and I hope PCF does release more content or a future release… Expand

    This is a very good game. Yes there are bugs and server issues but there is so much to like about it. Good story with very good voice acting, great skills modification possibilities, very nice weapon progression system, good fight dynamics, interesting lore (if you want to read a lot). I am surprised that I like it that much. Maybe not a title for hard core looter shooter fans but clicks for me.

    Only 5 hours in, but I’m hooked. Awesome gameplay and combat mechanics, story is actually not too bad, loot system so far feels balanced, character classes and skill trees are awesome. Looking forward to the end game and playing with my mate. I’ve had no server or technical issues here in Aus.

    It's very good gunplay. Game is pretty beautiful and mechanics is ok. Outsiders are similar to games like destiny, division and borderlands.

    -Refreshing fast-paced gameplay - this is a first/third person, action RPG based on shooting guns as opposed to swinging swords or shooting bows.
    -Depth in RPG elements - variety in abilities, gear mods, and skill tree combine to drastically alter how you play with degrees of freedom similar to Diablo 3.
    -Find and build your own gameplay style - can feel extremely rewarding when you discover that perfect combination of skills, mods, and guns to absolutely dominate combat.

    The mixed:
    -Decent story that spans the campaign, but really could have benefited from a lot more depth. Story jumps from major plot point to plot point (which are good) without much in between. Most character dialogue end abruptly as soon as something interesting gets raised as opposed allowing an option to explore or expanding on a topic. A real missed opportunity.
    -Graphics/sound - nothing particularly spectacular, but nothing bad either. Typical good-looking UE4 game you'd expect.
    - Mixed crafting system. Modifying gear is easy and cheap in terms of resource cost, which really helps in freely customizing gear to optimize your build. That said, leveling up gear to keep with you as you level can get expensive, which negatively impacts the ability to keep gear on an optimized build or a sweet combo you found 30 minutes ago.
    -Character progression - in general the progression feels good and centers around leveling up, gaining abilities, speccing the skilltree, and collecting gear mods. However, the world tier and expedition tier systems are poorly tuned and can cause wild swings in difficulty. Absolutely overpowered one moment to completely getting destroyed the next. The pace and difficulty scaling of the progression system works against the core gameplay mechanic of putting together an optimized build, as RNG gear becomes obsolete very quickly.
    -Loot - There's plenty of variety and variation in gear to try to get the perfect piece for your build. However, as is the achilles with all loot-based games, ultimately it comes down to RNG to find a piece of gear with a higher number associated with it. Much more depth than Destiny 2 and more similar to Division 2 and even Diablo 3.

    The bad:
    -The end game is merely a new set of levels without adding any extra notable content, difficulty, or progression mechanics. It's the same progression system of collecting and matching gear level to difficulty tier level. The end game difficulty scaling also inexplicably goes beyond the campaign scaling, which means you can't take your end game optimized build to have fun with in the all the content of the campaign without being incredibly OP. A campaign NG+ would have served well here.
    -Early bugs and downtime - first, it's only been a week, but there's the typical slew of server/connection problems and crashes you'd expect with an online game week 1 but frankly shouldn't have to deal with. Some other nasty bugs that lose progression/inventory as well.

    Buy this game if you...
    - Like complexity and variety in creating builds
    - Like playing ability-based gameplay, with only minor focus on shooting mechanics
    - Like being able to play and fine tune a variety of play styles similar to action RPGs

    Don't buy this game if you...
    - Expect heavy focus on shooting gameplay (this game is ability focused)
    - Expect a cover-based shooter like gears of war (you'll spend very little time in cover)
    - Expect a canned combat loop (you have the make your own. Play like gears of war or destiny and you might find yourself disappointed in those playstyles don't work in this game, even though the game allows you to)
    - Expect a deep endgame with new challenges (you'll get play with builds, but not really any significant challenges like raids)    … Expand

    Третий день игра имеет проблему с серверами, нормально поиграть невозможно ( то, что игра только вышла, не является оправданием для неё ). Региональная стоимость в России меньше чем в других странах ( 26 долларов ), что всё равно слишком много для игры, где стоит один раз её пройти и дальше бесконечно бегать, но со сложностью повыше. Игра имеет проблему с анимациями, текстурами, врагами (Третий день игра имеет проблему с серверами, нормально поиграть невозможно ( то, что игра только вышла, не является оправданием для неё ). Региональная стоимость в России меньше чем в других странах ( 26 долларов ), что всё равно слишком много для игры, где стоит один раз её пройти и дальше бесконечно бегать, но со сложностью повыше.     Геймплей коридорный и довольно однообразный ( иногда нужно поменять пару скилов под определённых противников и это всё ). Я вам в Dark Souls поиграть зашёл что-ли? Там - бегай, бей и кувыркайся; тут - бегай, стреляй и прячься за укрытиями + 3 способности.    … Expand

The combat is interesting and challenging and I am a fan of the way the game makes you dive into battle rather than get bogged down behind cover like The Division for example. That being said, even over the course of the three days after release, they were figuring things out and I haven't had issues since.     Pros
    1. Crafting system allows you to swap mods on gear, level up gear, increase its rarity, increase specific traits, and even swap fire modes on weapons. Seriously awesome customization for weapons and armor.
    2. The mods add tons of gameplay diversity.
    3. Each class is very unique with eight abilities that stand out dramatically from each other. Reflecting bullets, putting magma clips into guns, slowing down enemies... soooo much cool stuff.
    4. Loot system is right there with the best of them in design and offers more than I've ever seen before. 46 Legendary guns and I think 96 pieces of armor... at least... maybe some game out there has launched with more, but this would certainly be close.
    5. World Tier adds a very intuitive difficulty option. Can be scaled up or down any time to increase/decrease difficulty and therefore loot drop odds.
    5. Tons of end game gear (legendary weapons/armor) as mentioned before. Weapons aesthetic is very fun and well animated. Armor is decent but not quite as good as weapons.
    6. End game is very hard, but perfectly doable if you've put time into developing build synergy.
    7. Enemy diversity is pretty good (not the greatest, but good enough). Most of the diversity will come from the player end honestly, and that's fine. The enemies are very well balanced.

    Cons
    1. Weapon audio is meh (though I don't have every legendary, so we will see)
    2. Servers, obviously, and being always online in general

    After spend 50+ hour playing this challenging and fun game, I finally got hit with a game crash that wiped my end game inventory with no fix in sight. With that all said if you enjoy gears and the leveling system of Diablo you will enjoy playing this game but it will crash! a lot!! and it’s riddled with bugs like anthem.

In order word, the covering is not for you, it is for the enemy, these covering are obstacle for you.

    Outriders also struggles to hit an enjoyable difficulty level. On paper, the world-tier system seems appealing: difficulty can be adjusted on the fly, with more difficult enemies providing better loot and better drop rates. However, it feels discouraging when you a reach point where enemies can destroy even the "tank" class in one or two hits. So if you decrease the difficulty, congratulations, you can stomp the enemies to experience a bland story, but you reach a point where to experience the end-game content, you must play at the highest world tiers to obtain the highest-level loot.

    There's also no self-revive in single-player despite having one per encounter when playing co-op, which can lead to frustration. Encounters pretty much all come down to one or two remaining elite enemies at the end that soak up an inordinate amount of damage while doing nothing interesting.    … Expand

And after weeks of issues they wipe yourWeeks later, still a good game if you like paying $60 to be a beta tester.     The enemy AI is all the same just reskinned, pretty brainless and just mindlessly runs at you in mobs and the ranged characters hit you even when not facing you, warping into you, etc. The infantry are the smartest but they just take cover behind objects everyone else is just bullet sponges.

    Campaign can be beat in under 5 hours w/ your character reaching max level and world tier as well. The maps are boring with you running down different looking corridors until you reach a bubble with cover that's one of a handful of boss fights per level, no open world at all.

    End game? Have fun playing the same 14 maps over and over running down the same corridors hoping for a random legendary drop, but you only get the same 7 out of 150 some. Oh and forget about playing coop, the scaling is beyond broken. Your end game build can 1 shot enemies and clear expeditions quickly. Add a 2nd person and your damage and health stays the same but enemies are more than double health and double damage. A 3rd? More than 4x health and damage while your characters are the same. Also, if you're not the host (players connect to each other in instances to play, and then connect to the Outriders data server) you'll experience bad hit reg, skills not triggering but going on cooldown, warping around map and getting stuck in walls, shooting enemies do no damage, etc.

    TLDR, game isn't even worth spending $20 on. Stay far away    … Expand

    Buggy and broken. Every time the developer releases a patch to "fix" one of many game-breaking bugs, they introduce 5 more game-breaking bugs. People Can Fly clearly have no idea what they are doing. Thought Cyberpunk 2077 was bad? This is worse. You are better of spending your time and money on ANYTHING else.

The maps are pretty (BUT narrow) The story is a little confusing. If they fix some simple issues I'd rate it a 7 or even 8 because I love coop games

So, after one year there is still no patch, that would allow you to play offline, nor have the server issues been fixed. This game comes from the developers of Painkiller, Bulletstorm,I'm playing Outriders on a Steam FREE PLAY event, and I must say that I'm really impressed with the gameplay, story, graphics, combat, and audio. Outriders is a fun time for me, and the combat is exciting and at times visceral. I came into this game with no expectations whatsoever, and I decided to give an unbiased attempt. This game comes from the developers of Painkiller, Bulletstorm, and Gears of War - so you know combat will be intense at times. Outriders is compared to Destiny quite a lot, and while I can see some of that core gameplay here Outriders does its own thing. The setting and aesthetic of the game reminds me of Mad Max meets Rage, with some Bulletstorm thrown in for good measure. I really like it.

    The enemy A.I. is engaging, and I was happy to see that enemies will advance on my position, rush me at times, and even come up on my flank. It kept me on my toes, and made sure that I had situational awareness at all times. A.I. like this will keep me from getting bored. Cover is very important in this game, and I'm guessing this is where the developer's GoW influences get injected into Outriders. Cover is great, and I honestly wish more developers would make it part of their gameplay as well; It's what I loved about The Division and Gears of War. It makes your combat choices smart, and allows for a more tactical approach to combat IMO.

    I also liked that the game allows me to set my difficulty setting. The game is setup around World Tiers, and as you level-up and collect gear - you can set your gameplay challenge accordingly. I also liked that the developers chose to reward players at higher difficulties with better loot drops. It definitely gives that risk versus reward scenario.

    Co-operative play was good for me. The queue seems to take some time to assemble a party of similarly leveled players, but wait times for me were under 60-seconds overall. I would only lose connection when the party leader would disconnect from the game, which seems like the system is working as intended/designed. The only downside to co-operative seems to be in hoping that everyone in the party is doing the same quests or missions as you.

    Overall my first impression with Outriders is very positive. The game offers a lot for me to enjoy, and while I've tried this game during a FREE PLAY event, I'm glad that I had a chance to give this game a go. I think its something that I would like to sink my teeth into.

    For any of you that happen to read my review, just know that I'm a casual gamer. I mention this because my gameplay experience with this title probably won't be me in the end game; I may never get there honestly. So my time will be spent leveling up my character, and seeing what that offers along the way. I've read many of the other reviews here on Steam, and while I haven't experienced any game-breaking bugs or problems, I've seen very minor glitches. Thankfully, it seems that the developer, People Can Fly (PCF), actively updates and patches this title. As for the gamers experiencing server disconnects and log-on problems, that hasn't been my experience at all; Connection to the game has been steady with no interruptions at all. YMMV.

    Overall, I like what Outriders is offering here. The game absolutely feels like Destiny in a lot of ways, but Outriders has its own style and flourishes.

    Gameplay is very raw and unpolished, derivative. Game aspires to be the next Destiny, but doesn't put the effort in and will likely end up being the next Anthem.

    Save yourself some time on this one and just skip.

    Close, but no Cigar. My biggest problem with Outriders is Bulletstorm. If you where shown several games side by side with Outriders and asked to pick which one was made by the same team you would never pick Bulletstorm in a million years. I mean, its okayish, but you can clearly see that it is in some sort of awkward middle ground between Destiny 2 and Gears of War. It feels like they wereClose, but no Cigar. My biggest problem with Outriders is Bulletstorm. I mean, its okayish, but you can clearly see that it is in some sort of awkward middle ground between Destiny 2 and Gears of War. It feels like they were going for a Persistent Online Looter shooter, remembered the fate of Anthem and changed gears half way through.

    That aside the controls for the Camera and ADS just feel slightly `wrong` even after messing about with turning Aim Assist and camera sensitivity there is just this almost indefinable sense that you aren't quite doing what you want. I started the game and chose the Trickster who is supposed to be a close range fighter who relies on interrupts but getting into a pack of enemies and trying to use the blade attack was quite literally hit or miss as I found myself accidentally being slightly off at a 45 degree angle. Changing to a Pyromancer made my previous attempts moot as it made the enemies laughably ineffective.

    In conclusion there is really nothing that jumps out and makes you think `wow`. The cover system is broken (enemies seem to have infinite grenades that can target you with pin point accuracy), the story is meh and I couldn't care less about the story line.    … Expand

    Picked up the game and ran as the devastator "tank" class. I have to say, for a class advertised as a "stand your ground" class, I spent most of my time running and hiding from volleys of grenade spam and bullet sponge elites, wishing that I could get health back at something other than close range.     Think Destiny, but extremely low budget. Even with a friend to play with, it was too boring and repetitive to finish. Thankfully, I didn't spend any money on this crap.

    I genuinely enjoyed this game. Do note that MANY of the negative reviews are from the issues of the game at launch, many of which were resolved a month or two afterwards. The campaign is short (~ 20 hours), but you have the ability to completely play through again with a different class and an entirely different play style.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let's get this out of the way. Outriders isn't a bad game. It's foundations are solid. But there's quite a lot of issues with the game and playability. But there's issues with the story as well.

    Let's start with issues.
    - There's plenty of bugs. From graphical bugs (most consistent one I've seen is hair "clipping" through helmets) to gameplay bugs (especially tied to the cover system). There's also a bug on some skill activations that locks your character into a slow walk animation where the only resolution is to exit and relaunch the game.
    - Game crashes ae random and intermittent. Often tied to cutscenes or interactions.
    - Shoddy servers. So this game gives us the age old lesson in what happens when you have an always online game and servers not setup for the demand. In this case constant disconnect, inability to pause, random jittery issues.
    - Game balancing, the game quickly progresses you through "world tiers" which is it's difficulty levels. It's clearly not balanced around single player and more balanced around multiplayer and co-op. Early in the game I ran into a battle where I simply could not win due to the games mechanics and setup. What's worse is like many looter shooter games (division, destiny, anthem etc) it gives players abilities. These abilities are how you heal in the game to keep fighting and do damage. But the abilities themselves are simply lack luster and fail to deliver.

    Story:
    The story is probably the worst part of the game because it simply makes no sense when you think about it for more then two seconds.

    Humanity realized Earth was going into a state of upheaval where the entire planet was having severe seismic activity. This was going to render Earth uninhabitable in a century. Out of all the proposed solutions the game mentions we follow the Flores a space ship designed to take humans to a new planet "Enoch" to become a new home.

    You play as an "Outrider" (que the reference to the games title) supposedly the best humanity has to offer in almost every field! Except you're not. The intro to the game explicitly states you aren't an actual outrider. You're one in name only. See the game describes in great detail that the actual Outriders were all killed when the caval ship that was supposed to scout ahead of the Flores had an accident and was lost in Earth orbit. So who are the actual outriders? Random mercenaries chosen and given the title.

    The game keeps referring to you throughout the story as an "outrider" as if it has some significant importance but so far it amounts to a title only. Also everyone hates you because the planet is a death trap and why would the Outriders allow anyone to land? Except they didn't. One of the heads of the expedition forced the landing and murdered most of the Outriders, the rest of them died off doing what they were supposed to be doing and exploring.

    After the start of the game you become what's called an "altered" or near immortal human with crazy powers caused by the planets weird storms. While this does cause people to be in awe of your character the Outrider moniker does not. Honestly I'm not sure what their plan is for the story here but in regards to the Outrider title it's stupid.

    Beyond that to facilitate the combat they talk about a 31 year war inside a single valley on the planet between the remaining 500,000 survivors who were marooned on the planet. It also goes on to talk about how due to the storms they lost all their technology. So for 31 years a half million people have been consistently murdering each other with little food and no technology. Yet there's gun galore and other technology. The setting doesn't make sense. Also you're allies hate you the second you wake up even though they put you in cryo. Like you even had a choice in the matter.

    The game actively tells you not to care about anything in the game. It's the opposite of good writing.    … Expand

    Sound: dubbing is beyond praise, unfortunately, but I will say that I liked dubbing more than in Cyberpunk. Background sound always spurs you on to action. Music prepares you for battle and lets you know when you can take a break.

    Gameplay: It's the icing on the cake! the game entertains in such a way that you can simply forget and play so that you do not notice how much time is spent in the game. it’s simply impossible to get bored in the game, so much action has been delivered that it’s hard to believe that it’s possible to think through everything and at the same time, there is no feeling of fatigue from shooting or what is happening, everything is in moderation.

    Verdict: an excellent looter shooter with an interesting plot, shooting, and a fantastic world. We are waiting for the continuation .......

    If you are looking for something to play with a friends or partner, this is the best choice. We liked it a lot more than the Borderlands (which we like very much too).
    It's a pity that poor optimization on release spoiled the game's average score.

    Outriders guarantees an enjoyable evening with friends. We had lots of fun clearing out stage after stage, gathering loot, upgrading our gear and improving our builds so they complement each other perfectly. The final score would have been higher if it weren’t for tons of technical issues we had to deal with. [06/2021, p.28]

    Killing everything that moves with bullets and magic while enjoying picturesque alien vistas is good enough for 20 hours (30, if you’re into Expeditions), but don’t expect anything more substantial out of Outriders.

    Gears of War meets Destiny… and the end result is mediocre. Take away the "coolness" of playing a gun totting superhero, and all you are left with is basically one more generic looter shooter, that doesn't manage to impress, neither with its repetitive gameplay, nor with its boring story and world building. Add to that a couple of technical and network issues, and you are in for a - pricey - treat.
