    A better Mass Effect Andromeda than Mass Effect Andromeda was. If Mass Effect were written by someone in the 90s who loved 80s action movies and REALLY loved Mad Max. It's cheesy, in a fun way to me but to each their own, but it has fun abilities and shooting. Love the equipment system and the ease of modding items already in the game. Will be even better when cross-play gets fixed. TheA better Mass Effect Andromeda than Mass Effect Andromeda was.     Muitos erros e problemas, porém um jogo muito divertido

    Ao jogar a BETA a primeira coisa que pude perceber foi a rasa criação de personagens, onde traz pouquíssimas variedades de personalização, mas esse era o menor dos problemas até aquele momento. Outriders chegou no Xbox Game Pass já em seu dia de lançamento fazendo assim com que a demanda pelo jogo fosse muito maior que o    Muitos erros e problemas, porém um jogo muito divertido

    Ao jogar a BETA a primeira coisa que pude perceber foi a rasa criação de personagens, onde traz pouquíssimas variedades de personalização, mas esse era o menor dos problemas até aquele momento.

    Outriders chegou no Xbox Game Pass já em seu dia de lançamento fazendo assim com que a demanda pelo jogo fosse muito maior que o planejado, isso ocasionou (e ainda ocasiona) muitos problemas em seus servidores, fazendo com que muitos jogadores não consigam nem se conectar, já que sem conectar no servidor não poderá jogar!

    Algo que percebi ao decorrer do jogo é que os efeitos sonoros ao utilizar os poderes especiais são um pouco exagerado no volume, mostrando que sua mixagem de áudio não é uma das melhores já que algumas cutscenes em um personagem específico também é possível perceber esse problema.

    Porém não podemos deixar de elogiar a PeopleCanFly em alguns quesitos como por exemplo o combate do jogo, os cenários que ao decorrer do jogo pode se perceber que é muito mais do que “arenas de paintball” e o conteúdo do jogo, que mesmo após terminar ainda terá muito a se fazer em Outriders.    … Expand

    Don't believe the naysayers. Outriders is a very enjoyable game. Shame on Square Enix for treating it like a second-class release. But what's good about Outriders manages to shine through anyway.

    Jede Klasse darf 3 Spells aufrüsten, die Waffen sind super und das Aufwerten der Ausrüstung ist ganz gut durchdacht, nur nicht so gut umgesetzt. Es mangelt dauernd an Titan, daher werden größtenteils blaue Rüstungsteile verwendet, anstatt lila und goldene, da man für die nur Eisen oder sowas braucht. Die Storys ist richtig 0815 und nicht    Das Gameplay und das Konzept ist spitze.

    Die Expeditionen sind aber eher langweilig und nicht wirklich gebalanced, entweder unschaffbar und einen Rang drunter viel zu leicht.    … Expand

    I just enjoyed it. Really. 25 hours in main story + other quests, ithems level 38, level 30. And it is on Game pass, so I dont care about price.

    + Story - Surprisingly interesting + Loot - not bad at all + 3 types of warriors with 3 diff ways - big tree of abilities - variant of enemies - raids after main story -maybe 1 or 2, other need to play in co-op - bug in main loading    I just enjoyed it. Really. 25 hours in main story + other quests, ithems level 38, level 30. And it is on Game pass, so I dont care about price.

    I enjoy this game but this game definitely needs some more love from the Devs. Once they eliminate all the bugs from this game, they really need to create something for me to do in endgame. Also buffs are needed for all characters skills trees, most weapon types need more buffs, Transmog to look cool and drop rates for gear as well. Other then that the game is fun, powers look cool and theI enjoy this game but this game definitely needs some more love from the Devs. Once they eliminate all the bugs from this game, they really need to create something for me to do in endgame.     Nobody understands the difficulty of building a game, and a lot of people moaning about the game's server issues never played games in the late 1990's or early 2000's when internet was so bad, you just lived with the daily outcomes of disconnects. In cui impressionerete il vostro alterego in cui c’è una minaccia da potere sconfiggere e molto altro ancora. è uno sparatutto GdR con trama in cui i giocatori si metteranno nei panni di un Outrider, ovvero l’ultima speranza della razza umana, e saranno intrappolati su Enoch, un pianeta pericoloso e selvaggio.

    Il gioco Lo ho giocai su PC,X-CLOUD e Google Stadia,
    Cosa vi posso dire si che e un gioco fatto molto bene stilisticamente parlando anche dal Doppiaggio non è male ma purtroppo non è tutto rosa e fiori, in quanto dalla mia prova che lo ho giocai ho avuto problemi sia il bilanciamento di livello difficoltà che potete scegliere ma il gioco è puntato in Coop e dovete giocare in cooperativa, ma è possiible farlo anche da soli il gioco ma dovete abbassare certe volte il livello di difficoltà per andare avanti perché più va avanti poi diventa complesso riguardante molti nemici sia su schermi, e poi boss molto ostici da sconfiggere molto altro.

    Il livello di abilità come sistema di raffinazione non è male in cui il giocatore può decidere diverse classi e in cui varia il propio gameplay di gioco ed punta alle esigenze del giocatore, purtroppo è presente anche il sistema delle microtransazioni ma facilitano solo il gioco fino ad un certo punto per le armi leggendarie e altro.
    Giocato su XCLOUD

    Al livello Tecnico cosa vi posso dire è stupendo ricco di dettaglio il gioco è stato fatto con Unreal Engine 4 e in base alla piattaforme ho riscontrato pochi bug sulle collisioni e altro ma sto che il team di sviluppo lo sta correggendo in corsa per dare un’ottima esperienza l’utente su questo meraviglioso titolo, il frame rate oscilla dai 60FPS ma certe volte cala quando ci sono situazioni disparate ma rimane comunque stabile sia in 1080p e 4K su Stadia che è stato il mio banco di prova anche su Xbox tramite Xcloud si comportava molto bene anche se la connessione non era abbastanza fluida ho riscontrato pochi lag.

    La differenza tra queste tre piattaforme quale la più vincitore secondo te?

    Allora e una scelta tra il giocatore per chi non avesse Stadia può giocarlo direttamente su PC attraverso GeForce Now in streaming, se desiderate giocarlo su Console potete acquistarlo normalmente oppure per chi ha Il gamepass lo trova all’interno compreso XCLOUD per giocarlo con vostri amici Xbox e PC, poi se avete Stadia potete giocarlo tranquillamente.

    E pensato per qualsiasi esigente di pubblico ma per me la versione che rimane la migliore se volete è stadia non abbiate problemi di framerate oppure di connessione che non ho riscontrato problemi come GeForceNow e Xcloud anceh se e beta fanno un loro lavoro ma Stadia è stata la pionerre del settore ed funziona perfettamente.    … Expand

    I am trying to be as fair to this game as possible: While it is in principle enjoyable in coop as a linear arena cover shooter (I am sorry, that open world suggesting opening sequence is just a fake), it has quite a few problems:
    *) Game does not try to reconnect on connection loss (sic!): E.g.     *) Game does not try to reconnect on connection loss (sic!): E.g. I was recently disconnected during a long frortline battle, and the game respawned our squad at the beginning of the encounter...
    *) Lots of bugs: Sometimes one cannot run, cannot revive other players, etc
    *) Enemies often appear out of nowhere when one goes into an empty looking part of the current battle zone
    *) The game has lots of invisible walls - in 2021... *sigh*
    *) Running back to a restock oftentimes triggers a "do not leave your allies" or "do not lead enemies to your allies" message + countdown, which either resets the encounter or teleports you right next to a powerful boss enemy
    *) Interface is clonky
    *) Graphics quality is uneven and not always AAA
    *) Path indicator does not always work, and sometimes sends you to the wrong location
    *) Buy if you love this type of game, otherwise I would highly recommend to wait until it is out of Early Access / Beta...    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let's get this out of the way. Outriders isn't a bad game. It's foundations are solid. But there's quite a lot of issues with the game and playability. But there's issues with the story as well.

    Let's start with issues.
    - There's plenty of bugs. From graphical bugs (most consistent one I've seen is hair "clipping" through helmets) to gameplay bugs (especially tied to the cover system). There's also a bug on some skill activations that locks your character into a slow walk animation where the only resolution is to exit and relaunch the game.
    - Game crashes ae random and intermittent. Often tied to cutscenes or interactions.
    - Shoddy servers. So this game gives us the age old lesson in what happens when you have an always online game and servers not setup for the demand. In this case constant disconnect, inability to pause, random jittery issues.
    - Game balancing, the game quickly progresses you through "world tiers" which is it's difficulty levels. It's clearly not balanced around single player and more balanced around multiplayer and co-op. Early in the game I ran into a battle where I simply could not win due to the games mechanics and setup. What's worse is like many looter shooter games (division, destiny, anthem etc) it gives players abilities. These abilities are how you heal in the game to keep fighting and do damage. But the abilities themselves are simply lack luster and fail to deliver.

    Story:
    The story is probably the worst part of the game because it simply makes no sense when you think about it for more then two seconds.

    Humanity realized Earth was going into a state of upheaval where the entire planet was having severe seismic activity. This was going to render Earth uninhabitable in a century. Out of all the proposed solutions the game mentions we follow the Flores a space ship designed to take humans to a new planet "Enoch" to become a new home.

    You play as an "Outrider" (que the reference to the games title) supposedly the best humanity has to offer in almost every field! Except you're not. The intro to the game explicitly states you aren't an actual outrider. You're one in name only. See the game describes in great detail that the actual Outriders were all killed when the caval ship that was supposed to scout ahead of the Flores had an accident and was lost in Earth orbit. So who are the actual outriders? Random mercenaries chosen and given the title.

    The game keeps referring to you throughout the story as an "outrider" as if it has some significant importance but so far it amounts to a title only. Also everyone hates you because the planet is a death trap and why would the Outriders allow anyone to land? Except they didn't. One of the heads of the expedition forced the landing and murdered most of the Outriders, the rest of them died off doing what they were supposed to be doing and exploring.

    After the start of the game you become what's called an "altered" or near immortal human with crazy powers caused by the planets weird storms. While this does cause people to be in awe of your character the Outrider moniker does not. Honestly I'm not sure what their plan is for the story here but in regards to the Outrider title it's stupid.

    Beyond that to facilitate the combat they talk about a 31 year war inside a single valley on the planet between the remaining 500,000 survivors who were marooned on the planet. It also goes on to talk about how due to the storms they lost all their technology. So for 31 years a half million people have been consistently murdering each other with little food and no technology. Yet there's gun galore and other technology. The setting doesn't make sense. Also you're allies hate you the second you wake up even though they put you in cryo. Like you even had a choice in the matter.

    The game actively tells you not to care about anything in the game. It's the opposite of good writing.    … Expand

On the other hand, ENDGAME leaves a little to be desired, it lacks content, it is killing waves and upgrading equipment. Each time the bugs with more life but not with new mechanics.     Третий день игра имеет проблему с серверами, нормально поиграть невозможно ( то, что игра только вышла, не является оправданием для неё ). Региональная стоимость в России меньше чем в других странах ( 26 долларов ), что всё равно слишком много для игры, где стоит один раз её пройти и дальше бесконечно бегать, но со сложностью повыше. Игра имеет проблему с анимациями, текстурами, врагами (Третий день игра имеет проблему с серверами, нормально поиграть невозможно ( то, что игра только вышла, не является оправданием для неё ). Региональная стоимость в России меньше чем в других странах ( 26 долларов ), что всё равно слишком много для игры, где стоит один раз её пройти и дальше бесконечно бегать, но со сложностью повыше. Игра имеет проблему с анимациями, текстурами, врагами ( появляются из воздуха, телепортируются и прочее ), самое неприятное - лаги в игре ( имею видеокарту RTX 3070, без ограничений выдаёт 200 фпс в среднем на максимальных настройках, но это не мешает игре периодически опускать частоту кадров до 100-120, что сильно ощущается на мониторе 144 гц ).
    Геймплей коридорный и довольно однообразный ( иногда нужно поменять пару скилов под определённых противников и это всё ). Я вам в Dark Souls поиграть зашёл что-ли? Там - бегай, бей и кувыркайся; тут - бегай, стреляй и прячься за укрытиями + 3 способности.    … Expand

    It's a pretty basic arena looter shooter style so don't expect an open world ala The Division and don't expect either fights in open zones. Let's say it's like Gears 5 without the open world but with loot.

    The routine is divided as follow : you are teleported in a zone where you have to run to the next arena to fight enemies. After that, you go to the next arena. Little to explore, no differents paths, just corridors empty of enemies to walk you to the next arena. The side missions are locked behind doors and opening them will "loading screen" you to another zone where you will have to repeat the game routine. It's as basic as it sounds.
    About the gameplay, this is good while not perfect (the cover system can quickly lead you to a undeserved death because of its magnet feature) but the game suffers from balancing issues.
    In the same level difficulty (aka world tier), you will be able to kill a giant arachnide "souls" boss at your first try but you will struggle against enemy captains and die several times. But overall it's okay.

    The loot is abundant and really interesting, even in low tier you will have to experiment your build, change attributes, craft and modify items, etc... This is for me where the game shines the most.

    In conclusion, Outriders is a slighty above average game, though it is really overpriced (€60) for the basic arena encounters it has to offer..    … Expand

    It playable. It can give you fun. But you have to play coop for it. It has bad optimization. has lags on powerfull PC, but has no greate graphics. And first of all NOONE like GRINDING.

Outriders tries to cut out it's own little piece of the looter shooter genre, instead of being just another Destiny copy it takes some risks with the formula overall with varying success. First thing I'd say is I do not think Outriders should be classified into the same broad range as other looter shooters, if anything I would call it a strange new mix of Diablo Shooter. Loot comes at you fast and furious, while most of it is generally useless you can disassemble both weapons and armor for mods that can be then placed on other pieces. At the same time you are given a small indicator on items that shows if you already own said mods and can just outright sell for "scrap", the in universe stand in for money. One of the main areas Outriders falls short is giving the player the option to focus on run and gun shooting or stick to cover. While the game gives you the option to stick to cover Gears of War style it doesn't do a great job in making it a fun experience. Most enemies will lob some type of grenade to chase you from cover or just suicide flank you making the run and gun style of shooting much more appealing and seemingly the overall meta. When I initially played the open beta for Outriders I wasn't thrilled with the story we were allowed to see nor the early class skills in general and I was hesitant at best to give this game a try. But boredom won out and I jumped in, short of early server issues and a few bugs my personal experience is Outriders ran well enough. Story wise early it is a bit hit or miss and the ending kinda hits it's mark. There are a few story beats where I was super into the mystery and others are was perplexed why that was their answer for the way events happened. Classes are a weak point early but slowly build into a strength the higher you level, allowing you to tailor a class more towards your liking. Weapons and armor are easily customizable, some armor looks great and others looks like they don't fit the universe at all. It's mainly about finding the look of armor you want, get the highest end version of it and mod it to your liking. This game is far more casual than some others in that aspect, in Outriders you probably only have to spent a few days at most to get the gear you want while other games time lock you trying to do so. Outriders end game is called "Expeditions" and is a solo or group race against time to recover crashed supply pods. While it is easier in a group some aspects of this mode were overlooked, such as solo players not getting any extra time to complete and not getting a single res like the group mode. While this mode can become a challenge higher up you go in it's levels it will still give you some rewards for failure so at least if you die solo or fail as a group you do get some reward instead of just wasted time. Overall the community as a whole is good, the Devastator class as of this review is highly lacking in end game desirability as groups prefer high end damage over a meaty tank class.

    Overall I enjoyed the game, it doesn't take any radical next steps for the genre and makes some aspects of it more casual player friendly while allowing enough end game replay ability now for it to be fun. Decent story, decently fun but lacking variety side quests, fast loot progression, scaling difficulty and good enough end game for now. Outriders is a solid game that doesn't blow down the doors of a genre but with enough support may have a decent shelf life in the market.

    Altered my original score of a 8 down to a 5. Big brain devs panicked over some classes out preforming others and subsequently flailed around in the darkness and nerfed basically everything to hell. Instead of selective nerfs and buffs to help bring some classes down and others up just a bit they basically killed all high end builds that were clearing content too fast and moved the timed gated end game goal post to make it virtually impossible on higher levels solo and in groups a times. Not only did the "over preforming" classes take massive damage and survivability hit the lower end classes also took the same hit. So the meta builds are still the meta, the crap classes and still crap and no one is having fun trying to hit a insane time limit on end game content. Until People Can Fly gets their heads out of their asses and fixes this plus a whole new full inventory wipe bug. AVOID OUTRIDERS.    … Expand

    The game has potential if it actually loaded every time or didn't crash. The game needs more diversity in tactics. It feels repetitive after a while. The game play is fun. The maps are pretty (BUT narrow) The story is a little confusing. If they fix some simple issues I'd rate it a 7 or even 8 because I love coop games

Initially i didnt want to, since the game doesnt have a really good reputation but i love scifi and loot shooters so why the hell not. And to be fair, now after reaching ct15 and maxing out my character im still very split on recommending the game.

    Again, i had fun with the game. But you can make anything fun with friends, so i dont want to use that argument. My main feeling with this game would be disapointed. The game has a lot of potential but who or what doesnt. And that doesnt matter if its wasted potential. As a loot, coop shooter its fun with friends when you need a game to not be bored. The problem is that after the campaign, things go south. The Multiplayer is somewhat good. It's cool that you can play with friends on other consoles when on PC, love games that do that and I got to give props to where it's due. Unfortunately, this game's multiplayer is super laggy, sometimes bullets from enemies don't even exist, and sometimes you will get shot through walls if you are not hosting. The game is also super laggy when you are not the host. After you beat the 10-hour story, you will be able to play destiny like nightfalls but with the previous missions. Beating all 15 of the missions will allow you to do a final boss fight, which is the same boss you fight when you beat the game just in a different area with different powers. When this game was announced I was hoping it wouldn't be an Anthem clone but unfortunately, it was. I would say give this game a try when it's on sale for $25. There are still side missions and extras but I don't feel encouraged to complete them.… Expand

    Outriders also struggles to hit an enjoyable difficulty level. On paper, the world-tier system seems appealing: difficulty can be adjusted on the fly, with more difficult enemies providing better loot and better drop rates. However, it feels discouraging when you a reach point where enemies can destroy even the "tank" class in one or two hits. So if you decrease the difficulty, congratulations, you can stomp the enemies to experience a bland story, but you reach a point where to experience the end-game content, you must play at the highest world tiers to obtain the highest-level loot.

    There's also no self-revive in single-player despite having one per encounter when playing co-op, which can lead to frustration. Encounters pretty much all come down to one or two remaining elite enemies at the end that soak up an inordinate amount of damage while doing nothing interesting.    … Expand

    Unimaginative game with a lot of technical problems. The gameplay is basically a Avatar-Like storygame/lootshooter with multiplayer support. Besides that, I've seen nothing that makes that game standout, except myriad of bugs that made me restart the game like 10 times, just to finish the prologue. I cant recommend.

    What i found was a front to back lackluster experience. I did not encounter many of the bugs others complained about at the time. A few disconnects, a few party forming errors etc. I could live with the errors especially since it was a demo and technically nearing the end of it's early access.

    The story is extremely bland, so much so that I do not feel compelled to play further. Does the loot style and short cooldowns on abilities feel diablo esc? YES!... but lacking and or missing something. The story wasn't it's strong point, but I couldn't really even buy into this games world enough to keep playing. The gameplay was fine, but always felt janky and frankly missing elements that would have hooked me further.

    If I could summarize in only a few words i'd say that Outriders is, on paper, an excellent game but it misses the mark on story, gameplay, and world building so i'll pass on this one. Maybe i'll revisit when the game ACTUALLY feels complete and has had quite a bit more polish / missing puzzle pieces included.

    The game has major balance issues and the devs are extremely lazy. This game is poorly developed and very boring in terms of builds and classes. PCF is a failure. The story is kind of interesting but otherwise the game is not worth buying.

I would almost consider this more of a "Lite" version of this genre to some extent.

    The gameplay itself is interesting as it has a cover mechanic system similar to Gears of War but is unnecessary since the combat is more aggressive and fast paced. Plus, the cover system is very archaic in design--clunky and actually hurts being agile. You cannot vault over tons of obstacles. You constantly are forced to take stairs or ramps when you should obviously be able to climb up a ledge but cannot. I would have much preferred the ability to jump and crouch and have a more natural, dynamic cover system that does not involve hard latching to walls. Would have complemented this game a lot more.

    Graphics have moments of being decent but overall, nothing special. A bit dated when considered in the AAA group of games (which its priced as such). Sound is OK. Its not always synced well and has a horrible level control--many times it randomly gets too loud which if wearing headphones is painful. I also do not care for the sound effects of some skills and weapons. But overall, the guns and skills do sound impactful. They just could have improved details.

    The game is also fairly 1 dimensional in design. You have an "arena" where you clear enemies out, go to a connection piece (usually a door), then go to the next "arena." Its fine for the game play but at the same time, can be monotonous. Its definitely an old school design and unoriginal. I would have preferred more dynamics with bigger maps to create more potential. Plus, there are these AWFUL transitional cutscenes. You always get stuck with a brief black screen, very brief cutscene of you opening something or jumping a ledge, then another brief black screen to then start playing. It happens for nearly everything. It hurts the cinematic feel with many situations. Even the different stages of a boss do this. I would have preferred staying in third person while watching a boss undergo changes vs this jarring effect. Just needs to be much more seamless in design.

    The different classes are definitely unique to each other. They have some cool abilities and cool looking gear. This is more of the highlight of the game because you definitely will feel powerful in most situations. Crafting is clean and simple for the most part with decent cohesion and interactions between the large variety of Mods. Again, not exactly a ton of depth like say Diablo 3, Warframe, Borderlands 3 or many other looter type games. But still fun to optimize builds.

    Another area the game needs some work on is AI. Enemies are nothing too special. Overall, they dont do bad. Sometimes I wished the ranged units would maneuver from cover to cover more and melee enemies didnt run in nearly a straight line to you all the time (give them an evasive maneuver which the human versions actually do). Ranged enemies can also be way harder than their bosses they accompany. They have insane levels of tracking (my god snipers are dumb to deal with in a couple maps). And most enemies will stagger you even if youre mid dodge (no I-Frames when dodging). You can actually get almost stun-locked at times and its incredibly frustrating. The overzealous stunning is actually an issue that definitely needs attention.

    Another area the game needs work on is balancing. Theres a definite gap where being high DPS with weapons is what really matters for the most part. You can just glass cannon throough everything and maintain healing through this--Damaging Skills need major buffs as well.. The endgame is timed trials and it heavily promotes this play style. If there were other formats of gameplay such as Defense mode or Horde mode, it could open gameplay up to also Tanks or supports

    Overall, fun game but needs a lot of work still and doesnt do anything new or unique in the genre. Plus, it has many bugs and performance issues thus a major reason for a low score. Ignoring the issues, I would give this game a 6/10.    … Expand

If you where shown several games side by side with Outriders and asked to pick which one was made by the same team you would never pick Bulletstorm in a million years. I mean, its okayish, but you can clearly see that it is in some sort of awkward middle ground between Destiny 2 and Gears of War. It feels like they wereClose, but no Cigar. My biggest problem with Outriders is Bulletstorm. If you where shown several games side by side with Outriders and asked to pick which one was made by the same team you would never pick Bulletstorm in a million years. I mean, its okayish, but you can clearly see that it is in some sort of awkward middle ground between Destiny 2 and Gears of War. It feels like they were going for a Persistent Online Looter shooter, remembered the fate of Anthem and changed gears half way through.

    That aside the controls for the Camera and ADS just feel slightly `wrong` even after messing about with turning Aim Assist and camera sensitivity there is just this almost indefinable sense that you aren't quite doing what you want. I started the game and chose the Trickster who is supposed to be a close range fighter who relies on interrupts but getting into a pack of enemies and trying to use the blade attack was quite literally hit or miss as I found myself accidentally being slightly off at a 45 degree angle. Changing to a Pyromancer made my previous attempts moot as it made the enemies laughably ineffective.

    In conclusion there is really nothing that jumps out and makes you think `wow`. The cover system is broken (enemies seem to have infinite grenades that can target you with pin point accuracy), the story is meh and I couldn't care less about the story line.    … Expand

    Don't waste your time with this game, first impressions are always best but this one is horrible. Game crashes every 15 minutes, your level does not matter because you are 22 getting 27 gear just to still get one hit by the level 27s , the abilities feel useless and some are mildly good.

    Graphically the game is very weak. Aside from some occasional nice lighting, It looks like a game from 5 years ago, at least. The character animations are weak and the mocap looks shoddy. Occasionally facial animations look bizarre, with characters showing their awful teeth and gums too much, or clothing physics jump around between camera changes, etc. The former being made worse by the truly awful character models. (See below). It also has one of the most pathetic character creation tools I've ever seen, especially for a game claiming to be, in part, an RPG. You literally get to choose from a handful of heads, some makeup/facial hair, and hairstyles. No body alterations, no facial tuning.
    This wouldn't be so bad, if it weren't for the fact that the stock heads are so damned ugly. Male or female, just hideous or boring, or both.

    Gameplay wise, it's essentially gears of war on tighter rails. The missions are extremely linear. Move from A to B, kill enemies, repeat. If you have a team, some of you flank, blah, blah.
    It's also pretty easy, even with the tiers enabled.

    Your characters powers are very derivative too. We've seen all this stuff before, and that isnt always a bad thing. After all, tried and tested works. However, these mechanics are just boring.

    On a plus side. There are lots of weapons, and clearly some thought went into combining certain perks with gunplay, which is nice. Unfortunately it doesn't make up for all the other short falls.

    Overall, the game just feels lacklustre. It's graphically uninteresting, gameplay is repetitive, derivative, and god damn, those player characters are hideous    … Expand

In order word, the covering is not for you, it is for the enemy, these covering are obstacle for you.

    I understand having an internet connection to verify purchases ala app stores and such, but having an always on connection for a single-player game? Nope, nah-uh, no thanks. Please see Valheim for the right way to do online co-op multiplayer. For 1/3rd the price of this game? Ya, this is a travesty of the gaming industry in 2021.

    Gameplay is very raw and unpolished, derivative. Game aspires to be the next Destiny, but doesn't put the effort in and will likely end up being the next Anthem.

    Save yourself some time on this one and just skip.

I have to say, for a class advertised as a "stand your ground" class, I spent most of my time running and hiding from volleys of grenade spam and bullet sponge elites, wishing that I could get health back at something other than close range.     - Enemies: pretty boring, mostly humans that are behind cover and monsters that charge you and minibosses that just walk towards you with some extra abilities.
    - Weapons: nothing unique, standard weapons as many other shooters.
    - Armor: looks cool, set bonus for legendary armor is a nice idea but really limited atm.
    - Abilities: even though they look cool, they get boring pretty quickly, I found myself change between skills and trees non-stop. Also some options in the skill trees make no sense. For example, on my technomancer i wanted a poison build so I invest heavily in the top tree but some really good poison perks are in the bottom tree for some reason??
    - Matchmaking: This must be the worst thing in the game. It is laggy as hell, it crashes the game but the worst thing is that it asks you what you want to play but if you randomly join someone for an expedition, that person can just decide to do other stuff instead of it or stand around. And why is that? Because the game just randomly puts you in a team with someone regardless of what they want to do or if they are even there. It happened pretty often that I stood in a camp and upgraded my gear, then randomly 1-2 people joined on me, I wasn't looking for people to join me. 8/10 players I joined are literally just standing there or want to do other stuff. Why not pool people together that selected an activity. It feels like Destiny LFG but nobody knows what the other one wants to do or if they are even there.
    - Builds: Anomaly infused bullets and ignore the rest. That's the meta, every enemy is a bullet sponge in this game, its the only viable way to deal damage. I tried all of the ablities on every class but everything else is significantly worse than the anomaly bullets. So with normal gunplay and the other abilities you do way too little damage but with anomaly bullets you melt everything in your way. In a party of 3 you can expect everyone to run Anomaly bullets with tricksters and technomancers using their slow and freeze abilities. So you end up shooting motionless enemies that will die in super fast. But I can't blame them, who wants to shoot an entire mag into one enemy.

    2/10, legendary armor and weapons look interesting and can give you a small extra to you build, rest is far under average.    … Expand

With that all said if you enjoy gears and the leveling system of Diablo you will enjoy playing this game but it will crash! a lot!! and it’s riddled with bugs like anthem.

    I can't even get through the prologue, if you disconnect you need to start all over again. Now I can't even interact with the first flag. This is on April 3de.

    Only thing left is to figure out how to get a refund from epic, you can keep your game, I don't want it.

    - Always online, garbage servers. Constant disconnects, servers going down, login issues... you name it.
    - Abilities don't always always work. Trickster teleport basically doesn't work 1/3 of the time.
    - NPC's disappear and force you to log out and in for them to reappear
    - Missing quest markers or markers that lead no where

    This is likely the last square game I purchase until they can rebuild the trust. They have a huge amount of work ahead of them to make this game playable.

    The fact that there is no wide spread PSA that warns players about the inventory wipe bug is also just insane mismanagement. They absolutely should be disabling match making until they find a fix for this. If you play multiplayer its not IF you will run into this issue, but rather WHEN you will run into this issue.

    Customers are forced to go to reddit or twitter to post their experience with this bug. I only find out about this issue after experiencing the issue first hand and scouring the internet for answers.

    What's worse is apparently this issue has been going on for WEEKS now. They can force players to be always online, but they can't push out a simple in game warning about the current state of multiplayer?

    The enemy AI is all the same just reskinned, pretty brainless and just mindlessly runs at you in mobs and the ranged characters hit you even when not facing you, warping into you, etc. The infantry are the smartest but they just take cover behind objects everyone else is just bullet sponges.

    Campaign can be beat in under 5 hours w/ your character reaching max level and world tier as well. The maps are boring with you running down different looking corridors until you reach a bubble with cover that's one of a handful of boss fights per level, no open world at all.

    End game? Have fun playing the same 14 maps over and over running down the same corridors hoping for a random legendary drop, but you only get the same 7 out of 150 some. Oh and forget about playing coop, the scaling is beyond broken. Your end game build can 1 shot enemies and clear expeditions quickly. Add a 2nd person and your damage and health stays the same but enemies are more than double health and double damage. A 3rd? More than 4x health and damage while your characters are the same. Also, if you're not the host (players connect to each other in instances to play, and then connect to the Outriders data server) you'll experience bad hit reg, skills not triggering but going on cooldown, warping around map and getting stuck in walls, shooting enemies do no damage, etc.

    TLDR, game isn't even worth spending $20 on. Stay far away    … Expand

People Can Fly clearly have no idea what they are doing. Thought Cyberpunk 2077 was bad? This is worse. You are better of spending your time and money on ANYTHING else.

    EDITED REVIEW: After the recent developer new, I have decided to change the review, as negligance of developers was revealed. First of all, they are absolutely ignoring the worst issues like wipe of directory content, forcing players with lost gear to wait for weeks before they get some of it back. Also, instead of buffing other classes and mods to make other builds more viable, they have actually chosen nerf approach. They did not fix a single crash in 9 days.

    Second major issue is cross-play, which was promised, but is not functional since launch, so if you planned to have Easter coop Outriders session with your friends on different platforms, not happening.

    I am tired of these Destiny types of games. Every time it's the same. Looter shooter with a mediocre story. We need more games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and fewer games like Outriders, Destiny, Anthem, etc. 0/10.

    Think Destiny, but extremely low budget. Even with a friend to play with, it was too boring and repetitive to finish. Thankfully, I didn't spend any money on this crap.

    Outriders guarantees an enjoyable evening with friends. We had lots of fun clearing out stage after stage, gathering loot, upgrading our gear and improving our builds so they complement each other perfectly. The final score would have been higher if it weren’t for tons of technical issues we had to deal with. [06/2021, p.28]

    Killing everything that moves with bullets and magic while enjoying picturesque alien vistas is good enough for 20 hours (30, if you’re into Expeditions), but don’t expect anything more substantial out of Outriders.

    Gears of War meets Destiny… and the end result is mediocre. Take away the "coolness" of playing a gun totting superhero, and all you are left with is basically one more generic looter shooter, that doesn't manage to impress, neither with its repetitive gameplay, nor with its boring story and world building. Add to that a couple of technical and network issues, and you are in for a - pricey - treat.
