    It's hard to believe, but there are still bugs that prevent the game from being played. These bugs prevent you from shooting and make the ability unusable. After a while, I closed the game in anger and deleted it.

    World dumbest shooter. It is such a primitive, idea free point and shoot game that I applaud standing to the developer and the publisher who managed to sell that for real money. This is literally they must play you to waste your time with this.

    Think Destiny, but extremely low budget. Even with a friend to play with, it was too boring and repetitive to finish. Thankfully, I didn't spend any money on this crap.

    We bought this game to play it in COOP. The game itself is quite good and a lot of fun. Actually it is better then I expected.
    But I have one big problem with this game and the Dev´s. It is an always online game, but should be called a "maybe sometimes able to play" game. So, you make a game, that is not playable (not even in single player) if not connected to the servers. Now, the server did not work since the release. Now one year later, they are still not working. A week ago we played 1 mission 5 times in 40 minutes, because the server connection was gone 4 times !!! I tried playing single player with the same result. So, after one year there is still no patch, that would allow you to play offline, nor have the server issues been fixed. Honestly, can it be any clearer that the Dev´s just don´t care.... yeah, no more games from people can fly for me. What a disgrace!    … Expand

    It is bad, unbalanced and broken game. Even after all this time from release, it breaks, it breaks pc - why blue screen? Really? Connection are unstable. Mechanics are dumb, for example you cant pass, push, roll through enemies, how many times there were death, because just one prefectly placed enemy kept you stuck in corner. Blocades are useless!     the graphics are great the story is good and the character is feels alive everything about the game perfect but only one thing is make this game unplayable and that is a huge bug! I cant hear any bullet or enemy sounds. I try to reopen the game again n again but the bug is still there so i deleted it. never sell a unfinished game

    The game starts off by showing you 5 minutes of cutscenes for every 5 seconds of gameplay, pushing you through a moronic tutorial, just in case you forgot left-click means shoot. For the last two weeks, I've been stuck in one fight because the game loses connection to the servers and due to checkpoint saving I have to repeat the whole zone again and again and again (14 times atm). It did that on another occasion as well but then it was not as painful as I was able to get to another checkpoint time. Srsly, don't buy it on PC. It's anotherThis game does not work.     decent price, a lot of the bugs have been fixed. not AAA quality but a great game to play non the less. i dont know why there are so many 0's might be due to a poor launch? but the game rocks now :D

    The gameplay and mechanics are sort of a Mass Effect-Gears of War-The Division mashup, and it works for the most part. Decent gun variety, satisfying and interesting mods, and an interesting mutation system. The classes are a bit locked and you can only have three abilities chosen at a time (with no pause to change in a fight if you realize you went with the wrong combo).

    The dialog is pretty bad with only a couple of the characters even having anything remotely close to decent personalities. It seems everyone is massively bi-polar, and the voice acting is "meh" at best. The player character is probably the best voiced in the whole game and has the most stable personality when dealing with situations.
    The story is just atrocious. The first 15 minutes of the game reels you in with a decent story and ok characters, then goes downhill like an Olympic skier. The world ends and only the best of the best of humanity are saved. But when things get a little tough, the supposed best of the best turn into blood thirsty animals who kill each other for no reason with. It was obvious that the writers never even thought of talking to a veteran, as every NPC's excuse for executing surrendering soldiers, or in one case an enemy soldier who saved the NPC's life (who in turn executes him), is "This is what war is", which it most definitely is not. NPC's will die when it makes no sense for them to die; one scene everyone is screaming and pointing guns at each other, then the main bad guy of the event shoots the one guy with a holstered weapon trying to diffuse the situation and literally asking for everyone to just calm down and talk, not the girl screaming in his face, not the soldiers pointing guns at each other, but the guy staying calm trying to talk it out. Then there is both sides trying to get you to fight for them talking about how everyone is almost out of ammunition and supplies, but there is always bullets flying everywhere, massive explosions, and just spray-and-pray mentalities.
    If you ignore the story and can get through the terribly made cut scenes (like a cameraman who never heard of a gimble or stabilization technology is having a seizure while he films), the game can be pretty fun.    … Expand

    We all deserve refund on this game. There is no offline play for potential modding in the future. The game is way over priced and its not a AAA cause game devs with smaller budgets did way better then the 6 hour game call outriders. This game become redunded after you beat the game in 6 hours.

They kick people out of a end game content run so they get more loot and there is only 3 people.
    Also all your loot is saved on there sever so nothing you gain from this game is truly yours and they purposly did wipes of peoples gear. Understand the loot that is saved is no bigger then 10 megabytes in size and most people playing this game has 5 terabytes witch could save that data and they could have 20 more games with full of saved data.
    They also say this game is singleplayer well its not enjoyable when you hit lag spikes playing alone.
    I think you all get what im saying this game is far worser then cyberpunk 2077 like beyond far worse.    … Expand

    Close, but no Cigar. My biggest problem with Outriders is Bulletstorm. If you where shown several games side by side with Outriders and asked to pick which one was made by the same team you would never pick Bulletstorm in a million years. I mean, its okayish, but you can clearly see that it is in some sort of awkward middle ground between Destiny 2 and Gears of War. It feels like they wereClose, but no Cigar. My biggest problem with Outriders is Bulletstorm. I mean, its okayish, but you can clearly see that it is in some sort of awkward middle ground between Destiny 2 and Gears of War. It feels like they were going for a Persistent Online Looter shooter, remembered the fate of Anthem and changed gears half way through.

    That aside the controls for the Camera and ADS just feel slightly `wrong` even after messing about with turning Aim Assist and camera sensitivity there is just this almost indefinable sense that you aren't quite doing what you want. I started the game and chose the Trickster who is supposed to be a close range fighter who relies on interrupts but getting into a pack of enemies and trying to use the blade attack was quite literally hit or miss as I found myself accidentally being slightly off at a 45 degree angle. Changing to a Pyromancer made my previous attempts moot as it made the enemies laughably ineffective.

    In conclusion there is really nothing that jumps out and makes you think `wow`. The cover system is broken (enemies seem to have infinite grenades that can target you with pin point accuracy), the story is meh and I couldn't care less about the story line.    … Expand

PCF has spent more time ruining the classes (NERFS) than fixing things which says a lot. Going from playable to one-shot in the blink of an eye is pretty standard in this "game".     Sound issues, every other character that speaks was bogging down or caching for some reason.     camera was giving me motion sickness, it bounces around a lot and has tendency to be in the wrong spot.

    absolutely a bastard game in technical terms. it's been 2 months since the release, but it constantly crashes and crashes 3-4 times in a couple of hours, or just disappears from the servers. this is especially "pleasing" during the passage of the expeditions. to the developers of "BRAVO".

Its linear, not open world, in case you're wondering. Dead world, nothing to do but go to the objective and repeat the formula. Really tried to enjoy it but there are no excuses for something soEnjoyable at first but quickly becomes reptitive.     This game may end up worth playing if they can iron out all the laughably bad bugs and you can get it on sale for $20-30 or less.    … Expand

    More than 1 month after release, it quits because of ,,Outriders server problem". And you cannot play NOW (when I write this, 2021.05.08!) Oh, and I play it in single player mode, alone. So I cannot get it. But never buy this crap..

    Technical issues notwithstanding, Outriders is simply boring. The loot system and perk system seem intriguing and well-designed, but there's little reason to explore them to their full potential. The handful of enemy types behave similarly, and every combat encounter starts to run together.     Outriders also struggles to hit an enjoyable difficulty level. On paper, the world-tier system seems appealing: difficulty can be adjusted on the fly, with more difficult enemies providing better loot and better drop rates. However, it feels discouraging when you a reach point where enemies can destroy even the "tank" class in one or two hits. So if you decrease the difficulty, congratulations, you can stomp the enemies to experience a bland story, but you reach a point where to experience the end-game content, you must play at the highest world tiers to obtain the highest-level loot.

    There's also no self-revive in single-player despite having one per encounter when playing co-op, which can lead to frustration. Encounters pretty much all come down to one or two remaining elite enemies at the end that soak up an inordinate amount of damage while doing nothing interesting.    … Expand

    Buggy and broken. Every time the developer releases a patch to "fix" one of many game-breaking bugs, they introduce 5 more game-breaking bugs. People Can Fly clearly have no idea what they are doing. Thought Cyberpunk 2077 was bad? This is worse. You are better of spending your time and money on ANYTHING else.

    Weeks later, still a good game if you like paying $60 to be a beta tester. The issues with servers being down for hours only for them to come back up for 15 mins before they go back down is largely fixed. When there aren't server issues you have microstutters, framerate issues, audio going out or uncentered from you, blurry graphics and crashing. And after weeks of issues they wipe yourWeeks later, still a good game if you like paying $60 to be a beta tester. The issues with servers being down for hours only for them to come back up for 15 mins before they go back down is largely fixed. When there aren't server issues you have microstutters, framerate issues, audio going out or uncentered from you, blurry graphics and crashing. And after weeks of issues they wipe your character along with thousands of other players and only tell you for almost 2 weeks now "we'll fix and restore your character SOON" with no detailed information.

    The enemy AI is all the same just reskinned, pretty brainless and just mindlessly runs at you in mobs and the ranged characters hit you even when not facing you, warping into you, etc. The infantry are the smartest but they just take cover behind objects everyone else is just bullet sponges.

    Campaign can be beat in under 5 hours w/ your character reaching max level and world tier as well. The maps are boring with you running down different looking corridors until you reach a bubble with cover that's one of a handful of boss fights per level, no open world at all.

    End game? Have fun playing the same 14 maps over and over running down the same corridors hoping for a random legendary drop, but you only get the same 7 out of 150 some. Oh and forget about playing coop, the scaling is beyond broken. Your end game build can 1 shot enemies and clear expeditions quickly. Add a 2nd person and your damage and health stays the same but enemies are more than double health and double damage. A 3rd? More than 4x health and damage while your characters are the same. Also, if you're not the host (players connect to each other in instances to play, and then connect to the Outriders data server) you'll experience bad hit reg, skills not triggering but going on cooldown, warping around map and getting stuck in walls, shooting enemies do no damage, etc.

    TLDR, game isn't even worth spending $20 on. Stay far away    … Expand

I would almost consider this more of a "Lite" version of this genre to some extent.

    The gameplay itself is interesting as it has a cover mechanic system similar to Gears of War but is unnecessary since the combat is more aggressive and fast paced. Plus, the cover system is very archaic in design--clunky and actually hurts being agile. You cannot vault over tons of obstacles. You constantly are forced to take stairs or ramps when you should obviously be able to climb up a ledge but cannot. I would have much preferred the ability to jump and crouch and have a more natural, dynamic cover system that does not involve hard latching to walls. Would have complemented this game a lot more.

    Graphics have moments of being decent but overall, nothing special. A bit dated when considered in the AAA group of games (which its priced as such). Sound is OK. Its not always synced well and has a horrible level control--many times it randomly gets too loud which if wearing headphones is painful. I also do not care for the sound effects of some skills and weapons. But overall, the guns and skills do sound impactful. They just could have improved details.

    The game is also fairly 1 dimensional in design. You have an "arena" where you clear enemies out, go to a connection piece (usually a door), then go to the next "arena." Its fine for the game play but at the same time, can be monotonous. Its definitely an old school design and unoriginal. I would have preferred more dynamics with bigger maps to create more potential. Plus, there are these AWFUL transitional cutscenes. You always get stuck with a brief black screen, very brief cutscene of you opening something or jumping a ledge, then another brief black screen to then start playing. It happens for nearly everything. It hurts the cinematic feel with many situations. Even the different stages of a boss do this. I would have preferred staying in third person while watching a boss undergo changes vs this jarring effect. Just needs to be much more seamless in design.

    The different classes are definitely unique to each other. They have some cool abilities and cool looking gear. This is more of the highlight of the game because you definitely will feel powerful in most situations. Crafting is clean and simple for the most part with decent cohesion and interactions between the large variety of Mods. Again, not exactly a ton of depth like say Diablo 3, Warframe, Borderlands 3 or many other looter type games. But still fun to optimize builds.

    Another area the game needs some work on is AI. Enemies are nothing too special. Overall, they dont do bad. Sometimes I wished the ranged units would maneuver from cover to cover more and melee enemies didnt run in nearly a straight line to you all the time (give them an evasive maneuver which the human versions actually do). Ranged enemies can also be way harder than their bosses they accompany. They have insane levels of tracking (my god snipers are dumb to deal with in a couple maps). And most enemies will stagger you even if youre mid dodge (no I-Frames when dodging). You can actually get almost stun-locked at times and its incredibly frustrating. The overzealous stunning is actually an issue that definitely needs attention.

    Another area the game needs work on is balancing. Theres a definite gap where being high DPS with weapons is what really matters for the most part. You can just glass cannon throough everything and maintain healing through this--Damaging Skills need major buffs as well.. The endgame is timed trials and it heavily promotes this play style. If there were other formats of gameplay such as Defense mode or Horde mode, it could open gameplay up to also Tanks or supports

    Overall, fun game but needs a lot of work still and doesnt do anything new or unique in the genre. Plus, it has many bugs and performance issues thus a major reason for a low score. Ignoring the issues, I would give this game a 6/10.    … Expand

    After suffering through week of crashs and servers down they put major nerfs because of less then 1% of players breezeing though end game. Now two of four ckasses are practically unplayable. The patch to fix inventories wiped made it worse. Ive played cyberpunk, anthem and fallout 76 the issues here are so much worse then others.

I have to say, for a class advertised as a "stand your ground" class, I spent most of my time running and hiding from volleys of grenade spam and bullet sponge elites, wishing that I could get health back at something other than close range.     The story is extremely bland, so much so that I do not feel compelled to play further. Does the loot style and short cooldowns on abilities feel diablo esc? YES!... but lacking and or missing something. The story wasn't it's strong point, but I couldn't really even buy into this games world enough to keep playing. The gameplay was fine, but always felt janky and frankly missing elements that would have hooked me further.

    If I could summarize in only a few words i'd say that Outriders is, on paper, an excellent game but it misses the mark on story, gameplay, and world building so i'll pass on this one. Maybe i'll revisit when the game ACTUALLY feels complete and has had quite a bit more polish / missing puzzle pieces included.

Story mode multiplayer ask you to confirm every little thing multiple times to ensure you are in the same instance and there are soo many instances that it's getting tedious after a short time..
    But the main reason I give the game a 0 is the instable, unreliable networking part and the mandatory sign-in at the beginning even if you play solo.
    The multiplayer part of the game is abysmally bad. Game is not able to log in about 40% of the time, 50% is crashing out of the console, crashing when you join a game, crashing when the host starts an activity, crashing when you finally tarts something, crashing when anybody else is crashing.. I'm playing a lot of games, but I can't recall in recent history anything that would be THIS BAD. The game had multiple alphas and beta tests, I can't believe the developers were not aware of the demand and the load balance they need to do on the servers, because it's unbelievable that these issues have not came out earlier.. The game can't manage to hold a stable game of multiplayer.. Ever since I started playing, I can't recall actually exiting a multiplayer game. It was always crashing out dropping me to tile, stuck in sign in etc..
    Every new game has issues, but the amount of network problems this one has put in in par with Anthem, even worse.. At least when I managed to log into Anthem in mostly hold the game at least, Outriders, can't even manage basic functionality.    … Expand

    EDITED REVIEW: After the recent developer new, I have decided to change the review, as negligance of developers was revealed. First of all, they are absolutely ignoring the worst issues like wipe of directory content, forcing players with lost gear to wait for weeks before they get some of it back. Also, instead of buffing other classes and mods to make other builds more viable, they have actually chosen nerf approach. They did not fix a single crash in 9 days.

    Second major issue is cross-play, which was promised, but is not functional since launch, so if you planned to have Easter coop Outriders session with your friends on different platforms, not happening.

With that all said if you enjoy gears and the leveling system of Diablo you will enjoy playing this game but it will crash! a lot!! and it’s riddled with bugs like anthem.

    - Abilities don't always always work. Trickster teleport basically doesn't work 1/3 of the time.
    - NPC's disappear and force you to log out and in for them to reappear
    - Missing quest markers or markers that lead no where

    This is likely the last square game I purchase until they can rebuild the trust. They have a huge amount of work ahead of them to make this game playable.

    The fact that there is no wide spread PSA that warns players about the inventory wipe bug is also just insane mismanagement. They absolutely should be disabling match making until they find a fix for this. If you play multiplayer its not IF you will run into this issue, but rather WHEN you will run into this issue.

    Customers are forced to go to reddit or twitter to post their experience with this bug. I only find out about this issue after experiencing the issue first hand and scouring the internet for answers.

    What's worse is apparently this issue has been going on for WEEKS now. They can force players to be always online, but they can't push out a simple in game warning about the current state of multiplayer?

Besides that, I've seen nothing that makes that game standout, except myriad of bugs that made me restart the game like 10 times, just to finish the prologue. I cant recommend.

    - Enemies: pretty boring, mostly humans that are behind cover and monsters that charge you and minibosses that just walk towards you with some extra abilities.
    - Weapons: nothing unique, standard weapons as many other shooters.
    - Armor: looks cool, set bonus for legendary armor is a nice idea but really limited atm.
    - Abilities: even though they look cool, they get boring pretty quickly, I found myself change between skills and trees non-stop. Also some options in the skill trees make no sense. For example, on my technomancer i wanted a poison build so I invest heavily in the top tree but some really good poison perks are in the bottom tree for some reason??
    - Matchmaking: This must be the worst thing in the game. It is laggy as hell, it crashes the game but the worst thing is that it asks you what you want to play but if you randomly join someone for an expedition, that person can just decide to do other stuff instead of it or stand around. And why is that? Because the game just randomly puts you in a team with someone regardless of what they want to do or if they are even there. It happened pretty often that I stood in a camp and upgraded my gear, then randomly 1-2 people joined on me, I wasn't looking for people to join me. 8/10 players I joined are literally just standing there or want to do other stuff. Why not pool people together that selected an activity. It feels like Destiny LFG but nobody knows what the other one wants to do or if they are even there.
    - Builds: Anomaly infused bullets and ignore the rest. That's the meta, every enemy is a bullet sponge in this game, its the only viable way to deal damage. I tried all of the ablities on every class but everything else is significantly worse than the anomaly bullets. So with normal gunplay and the other abilities you do way too little damage but with anomaly bullets you melt everything in your way. In a party of 3 you can expect everyone to run Anomaly bullets with tricksters and technomancers using their slow and freeze abilities.     Начинается душный диалог, пафосное приземление, и маленькая локация, полностью закрытая невидимой стеной, идешь с нпц разговариваешь, очень интересно. Стрелять не дают, прыгать не дают, просто иди, слушай диалог. Дальше игра превращается в сплошной коридор, шаг в лево невидимая стена, шаг вправо, текстурка не пройти-перепрыгнуть.
    И тут до меня доходит, на пробел прячемся в укрытие, на контрол перепрыгиваем препятствие. Прыжков, приседаний и других итераций в игре нет. Персонаж не может перешагнуть лиану высотой до колена. И перепрыгнуть тоже, она слишком низкая для такой анимации. Офигенная опция, происходит что-то на фоне карты, за пределами коридора, появляется "Нажмите Е, чтобы наблюдать", вау как интересно, что чтобы наблюдать, я могу СМОТРЕТЬ не сам.

    Забрало падает. Соснольщики ликуют.

    Есть нормальные игры, а есть игры где ты прилипаешь к поверхностям, и стреляешь пока враг высунулся. Очень, очень, очень интересный геймплей. Кстати инерция в этой игре сосет, персонаж скользит влево вправо, как будто на льду.
    Начинается диалог - камеру трясет, стреляешь - камеру трясет (укачивает влево-вправо), часть катсцен пропустить можно, часть нет. Почему? Потому
    .Сюжет тупорылый, персонажи ходят по планете без шлемов и средств защиты, спорят, нарушают технику безопасности - сразу видно профессиОналы с большой буквы Г. Харизматичные? Ну разве что пше пше поляк.
    Каждый раз когда идешь по коридору и видишь бочки/столы/укрепления, значит всегда будет перестрелка, и враги всегда будут спереди. Расстановка как в шашках. Ты - укрепления - враги. Повторить и зациклить до конца игры, геймдизайн холе.

    Последними плевками в лицо были:
    Стрельба из снайперской винтовки только стоя, стрейф или движение и прицел начинает ходить быстрее тебя. Плюс при прицеливании он первые пол секунды дрожит как бы при вскидывании.
    Я кучу раз на пустом месте нажал абилку, затем применил на врагах и персонаж такой "Ух, это я сделал???". Ты что дегенерат, уже пятый раз подряд я применил этот скилл. Скрипты писал одаренный интеллектом.

    Это позор позора, эта игра делает все то, что другие лутер шутеры, но хуже. Я не люблю дестини, но она показалась мне просто шикарной по сравнению с этим калом.
    Подытожу: Это убогая версия дестини с видом от третьего лица, без прыжков и приседаний, с укрытиями и кастрированным функционалом. Как если бы у первого бордерлендса был ублюдок от Sci-Fi бомжихи с ужасной наследственностью.

    I should have asked for a refund the first day but I thought the developers gave a damn and maybe fix their servers, but all I see are the same server issues and lies on Twitter. The $60 you drop for PC version is just regretful. It's clearly designed in such a way that this is evident only after about 4 hours, well past any refund point.     Honestly... AAA online only game that has servers that do not even connect is a joke of all jokes. Released on April fools, I feel the fool for paying full price for a game that I am yet to be able to login to. The demo was fairly smooth and fun. But the game itself is an appalling mess. Fortunately I managed to get a refund as day one bugs is normal. But being unable to even play is ridiculous.

    I understand having an internet connection to verify purchases ala app stores and such, but having an always on connection for a single-player game? Nope, nah-uh, no thanks. Please see Valheim for the right way to do online co-op multiplayer. For 1/3rd the price of this game? Ya, this is a travesty of the gaming industry in 2021.

    Sorry but i had to make this review. I played lots of games. Including fallout and persona and a lil bit of destiny. But for the first time ever, i got bored of just playing this game. There's a dark tone on this game and i love it. Bit hearing that people experience server crashing is just sad.

    Graphically the game is very weak. Aside from some occasional nice lighting, It looks like a game from 5 years ago, at least. The character animations are weak and the mocap looks shoddy. Occasionally facial animations look bizarre, with characters showing their awful teeth and gums too much, or clothing physics jump around between camera changes, etc. The former being made worse by the truly awful character models. (See below). It also has one of the most pathetic character creation tools I've ever seen, especially for a game claiming to be, in part, an RPG. You literally get to choose from a handful of heads, some makeup/facial hair, and hairstyles. No body alterations, no facial tuning.
    This wouldn't be so bad, if it weren't for the fact that the stock heads are so damned ugly. Male or female, just hideous or boring, or both.

    Gameplay wise, it's essentially gears of war on tighter rails. The missions are extremely linear. Move from A to B, kill enemies, repeat. If you have a team, some of you flank, blah, blah.
    It's also pretty easy, even with the tiers enabled.

    Your characters powers are very derivative too. We've seen all this stuff before, and that isnt always a bad thing. After all, tried and tested works. However, these mechanics are just boring.

    On a plus side. There are lots of weapons, and clearly some thought went into combining certain perks with gunplay, which is nice. Unfortunately it doesn't make up for all the other short falls.

    Overall, the game just feels lacklustre. It's graphically uninteresting, gameplay is repetitive, derivative, and god damn, those player characters are hideous    … Expand

    how can it be three days into a game that you cant even play because of server issues?!?!?! even if you play solo you have to still connect to a server?!?! Game developers have been selling us unfinished games and full price and i'm about done with this nonsense! like i said before, its been THREE DAYS and they still havent fixed a DAMN THING!!!!

    Don't waste your time with this game, first impressions are always best but this one is horrible. Game crashes every 15 minutes, your level does not matter because you are 22 getting 27 gear just to still get one hit by the level 27s , the abilities feel useless and some are mildly good.

    I will never support SQARE ENIX AND PPL CAN FLY anymore... so disappointing, they did not learn anything from anthem and cyberpunk incident? why people get furious?? I dont understand why they did not even manage to stablize the server. How can I give a good rating when I can not even log in?? truly disappointing....my fxxckin 60 something bucks.

    I can't even get through the prologue, if you disconnect you need to start all over again. Now I can't even interact with the first flag. This is on April 3de.

    Only thing left is to figure out how to get a refund from epic, you can keep your game, I don't want it.

    Outriders guarantees an enjoyable evening with friends. We had lots of fun clearing out stage after stage, gathering loot, upgrading our gear and improving our builds so they complement each other perfectly. The final score would have been higher if it weren’t for tons of technical issues we had to deal with. [06/2021, p.28]

    Killing everything that moves with bullets and magic while enjoying picturesque alien vistas is good enough for 20 hours (30, if you’re into Expeditions), but don’t expect anything more substantial out of Outriders.

    Gears of War meets Destiny… and the end result is mediocre. Take away the "coolness" of playing a gun totting superhero, and all you are left with is basically one more generic looter shooter, that doesn't manage to impress, neither with its repetitive gameplay, nor with its boring story and world building. Add to that a couple of technical and network issues, and you are in for a - pricey - treat.
