    Türünün güzel özelliklerini en iyi şekilde kullandığını düşünüyorum. Ama genel olarak Saklan/kaç olarak adlandırdığım korku türü yavan bir tür. Bir noktadan sonra yapay zekanın davranışlarına ve sistemini alışılıyor ve oyun korkunç olmaktan çıkıyor. Onun dışında atmosfer ve kurgu anlamında gerginliği ve korkuyu iyi bir şekilde verdiğini düşünüyorum.

    Loved it, it leans a bit too much on the use of scarejumps sometimes but the atmosphere, context and story still sold me completely on it. Played it with a friend by alternating who has the controller and it was both fun to watch and play. Would scream again.

    Good and enjoyable gameplay, overrated jumpscare and horror elements. I think this game has really ridiculous hype for one horror game maybe it is not scary as people said as but it is good.

    It's definitely in my top 5 favorite games. It contains completely new and different horror elements for 2013. Graphics and music are disturbing (It's a good thing for a horror game) Must play for every horror lovers!

    ++ 5 to 10 hours of pure survival horror
    - outdated but kind of beautiful graphics (well, it's 10 years old)
    - wooden character animations
    - very linear game play
    - sometimes frustrating
    - rather weak presentation of the story

    all in all still worth to be played nowadays
    (why no movie adaptation?!)

    Terror absoluto, desde el primer momento que entras en el manicomio sabes que te espera un infierno absoluto, la jugabilidad con la cámara es increíble, teniendo que administrar las baterías para no estar vendido en ciertas situaciones. Uno de mis juegos favoritos del género de terror.

    Horror con una buona tensione, in cui possiamo solo scappare dai nemici e nasconderci.
    Buona l'idea di dover far luce con la torcia (in questo caso una videocamera). Idea che aumenta il senso di claustrofobia e smarrimento.
    Meccaniche di gioco limitate, e gioco che dura giustamente poco per non diventare ripetitivo.

    Decent horror game that relies too much on jumpscares and doesn't have much mechanics with almost no puzzles. You run around the entire game tying to find keys or valves to turn to progress trough the game. Still worth a playthrough.

    Alright, so here is my final and most honest review for Outlast 1 & Outlast Whistleblower DLC -

    I will begin with the main game and then share my thoughts about the DLC as well. Let me start by saying that I have been a fan of the franchise since 2013, Outlast is the game that got me into gaming and the horror genre at a young age, and I am so grateful to have this game be the reason    Alright, so here is my final and most honest review for Outlast 1 & Outlast Whistleblower DLC -

    I will begin with the main game and then share my thoughts about the DLC as well.

    Let me start by saying that I have been a fan of the franchise since 2013, Outlast is the game that got me into gaming and the horror genre at a young age, and I am so grateful to have this game be the reason I fell in love with games as a whole.
    From stunning visuals, sound design, and gameplay to the profound lore and disgusting, gory environments and characters, this game has it all, or may I say experience, since once you start playing, you forget what reality is. You simply get involved in all the hell-like stuff this experience has ready for you.
    Let me be honest and tell you that this is NOT Amnesia. You are not here to solve puzzles; you are here to run, hide or die.
    Every second feels like it might be the last as the game never lets you get a breath from the constant chases and eerie music blasting in your ears.
    Outlast is simply an experience that you MUST go through if you call yourself a horror genre fan. There isn't, and probably never will be, a game that does what Outlast 1 did when it comes to horror; it's simply that unique and different from all the junk we've seen through the years. No technical improvements and shiny marketing can beat something that Red Barrels developed with love and passion.
    I simply can't find something that will even get CLOSE to the polish that this game has for an indie game from 2013; of course, the game has its issues, but it's nothing major or easy to find if you are simply here for the experience and don't start poking your nose around.
    I don't want to go in-depth with the problems the game has because, as I already stated, they are such easy to ignore things that I doubt many people will even notice.
    Overall this is an experience that I will never forget and get bored of. I can play this game again and again and enjoy it every single time, and even after hundreds of hours spent consuming content for this game and playing it for myself, the end credits still make me cry with joy every time. I love this game and the people that made it.

    Now, the DLC. Outlast Whistleblower -

    Everything I said for the main game applies to this too. Outlast Whistleblower is not a DLC; Outlast Whistleblower is a different product.
    Set in the same environment as the first one, with the events happening a little earlier than the ones in the main game, this does not feel like the typical DLC you would get with your regular AAA games nowadays. This is arguably a scarier and even grosser experience, filled with new places to visit in the Asylum and new bone-chilling characters to meet.
    You're going to like Eddie ;)
    There is nothing more I can say for the DLC as it's simply a whole new experience in the same universe with the same feel and looks. It's more Outlast 1, but better at times.

    It probably wasn't hard to see how much of a fan I am for this game, but trust me, I am hard to be satisfied, so when I tell you this game can not be beaten 'till today, I am not lying. Outlast is something that I will always keep sincerely in my heart. I love it.

Dopo averlo giocato più volte, anche a difficoltà Folle (non è così difficile, se sai cosa fare), posso dire che è un gioco ben fatto, molto atmosferico, con gore molto spinto (a volte un po' gratuito) e storytelling sottile.     Certainly my favorite horror game, maybe one of my favorites games too. It goes beyond gambling, but it also has a captivating backstory that I really don't know why it hasn't created such a united fanbase.

Why did he doesn't ran away when he saw a first dead body. He didn't took a gun for self-defense. Game is full of conventions and stupid moments like: How did Chris got into a laboratory without key for elevator? But game has good optimization and it has a good graphic for 2013.     Outlast is the best example of struggle a human can give in life.
    But the only problem is that Outlast and Whistleblower get into a vicious circle. In other words, the game loops like take key, hide and run.
    Apart from that, the cutscenes are wonderfully designed.

    I`ve played titles such as Alien Isolation, Amnesia, the one with Michael Jackson, even Outlast 2...
    But this... The game made me its b*tch in the first hour of playing,,,
    It is so scary to me that I can`t make myself to continue, that I rather watch Jacksepticeye or Radbrad do it...
    If you want a good horror thrill, Outlast is the way to go

Тут атмосфера - за следующим углом или надо бежать или нет. По началу меня выбесило, что почти всю игру надо тупо бегать. Но дальше было хуже. Я неожиданно понял, что у меня есть здоровье, и меня надо ударить более 2-3Я люблю стелс игры и хорроры, но я не люблю когда в игре нет оружия. Вспоминая амнезию где оружия так же нет, меня игра цепляла атмосферой. Тут атмосферы загадочности нет. Тут атмосфера - за следующим углом или надо бежать или нет. По началу меня выбесило, что почти всю игру надо тупо бегать. Но дальше было хуже. Я неожиданно понял, что у меня есть здоровье, и меня надо ударить более 2-3 раз чтобы я сдох. И тут у меня пропало ощущение страха. Ну типа, если хп регенится, в игре надо вечно бегать, то ритм атмосферы поймать сложно. В итоге я превратился в бегающего бестрашного зайца на уровнях, который просто пропрыгал всю игру и вообще толком не прятался. Хз зачем тут прятаться вообще. Игра меня до жути разочаровала. Не понимаю кому понравился этот геймплей и кому страшно в такое играть...… Expand

Graphics are terrific, characters are well-written. Some say it is repetitive but sorry I couldn't get used to the goosebumps 'Outlast' gave me. The rhythm is varied and always reflects the tension going crescendo. The camera, batteries and flashlight mechanics are brilliant. Environments are varied. May seem like a 'doors and chase simulator' from time to time though.    … Expand

    Такое себе, если честно. Мне не так уж и понравилось. Коридорные локации, без каких либо развилок. Раскрытие сюжета через записки. Да и сам сюжет, толком хорошо не раскрывается. Главный персонаж- тупее, тупых. Вообще не ясна мотивация главного героя. Ждал большего, а сама игра оказалась простым хоррором, с клише. Но все равно, разок поиграть стоит.     Its 2021 and Outlast is still one of the scariest horror games and it still looks beautiful. It's a bit disappointing that you'll get used to be chased after 2-3hours playing, but it still a great game.

    Even as I was running for my life or hiding under a bed while trying to escape from a patient at Mount Massive Asylum that was trying to rip me to shreds or eat my liver, I enjoyed nearly every second I spent while playing Outlast.

    In the land of jump scares... once you know where you are it's not very scary anymore. At some occasions you have to stifle a laugh, and the game itself is a narrow hose without many chances to do something different. Lame? Boring? Yes, you might think it is.

    El juego dura poco, pero es tan bueno que se te hace eterno. En su momento el juego tenía unos gráficos que estaban genial. Los escenarios están muy elaborados (es una pena que te tengas que pasar el juego mirando la cámara y eso no te deja apreciar los escenarios tanto como me gustaría).

Run, hide, run, hide, run hide, over and over again.     Fantastic psychological horror with an amazing atmosphere and great visuals. Think along the lines of the concept from F.E.A.R. (psychological experiments gone wrong) and the mechanics from Amnesia: The Dark Descent (no combat, just run and hide and pray), but much bloodier than both, and with properly modern visual and sound design.     A great game for its time, yet something was still missing in it, it had much more potential. The story was decent and so was the gameplay. A game you can play several times and enjoy it, yet I can't consider one of the best horror games. In reality, it was just a good game in a time where every horror game was super mediocre

    The Good: - The introduction to the game is very eerie. Insane patients all mangled in wheel chairs, and a bunch of them sitting there watching a static screen.     The Good:

    - The sounds and music amp up at the perfect time. Scary when it needs to be, quiet when it needs to be.

    - The use of night vision on the camera is a great idea for a horror game. I'm sure this isn't the first time it's done, but probably the first time it's required throughout the game. But either way, it was very well implemented. Kept the creepy vibe throughout the game. There were many times where I was genuinely scared to take another step because I was scared what I might see in the dark.

    - There is a lot of gore in Outlast. But it's a right amount. It's not overdone, and it makes sense to the plot, and the setting. Experiments gone wrong in an insane asylum.

    - The enemies varied, and they places where they put cutscenes were clever. It scared me and progressed the plot in a tense fashion.

    - Random inmates you couldn't interact with would do weird insane things throughout the game that you'd just see while strolling around. This helped make the atmosphere of an insane asylum more believable.

    - The final chapter and the Walrider revelation was a nice surprise.

    The Bad:

    - The AI of the enemies can be quite predictable once you learn where they can't go. They don't follow you if you climb a ladder, go into vents. or squeeze through cracks. They treat you as if you just disappeared whenever you take one of those actions. Once you learn this, escaping them is pretty easy.

    - Not knowing whether doors opened forwards or backwards made it a bit awkward sometimes when I wanted to open one slowly.

    - There weren't many interesting stealth strategies the game allows you to use. Staying out of site is the name of the game. If you're spotted just keep sprinting away and finding a route, and they'll never catch up to you. Only if you hit a dead end will you have to take damage. As long as you remember the area, you can easily avoid damage.    … Expand

Для 2013 года вполне приятная графика, довольно интересный сюжет с неожиданной концовкой и, самое главное для игры подобного сеттинга, она действительно способна напугать. Правда есть все же один минус - некоторые моменты слишком затянуты и локации запутаны.Очень хороший хоррор своего времени.     The game itself is not long, but going for the insane difficulty play through will set you back some hours. If you are having problems with crashing, maybe your solution will be as simple. I still don't know what was wrong with the prior, but in the end everything was without issue.

    This game can seem difficult in certain areas, but remember that timing is everything. There are a couple of times that you will be taking damage, so be patient and make use of hiding places. Some spots you may have to fail before you know what to do, but once you figure it out, it seems so obvious.    … Expand

    From everything I experienced from this game it was alright from the enemies, to the areas to the atmosphere and barely any glitches it seems like Red Barrels really put a lot of love and effort into they're game. The game really pumps you up during it's chase sequences all out great game. :)

    I love this game. I knew about this 5 years ago, when I was only nine. I fell love with this game and I wanted to play it very much. And I did it just one year ago and I was so happy that my dream has turned.
    Now, some words about game-play in this beautiful game.
    It's very good horror and it's very original game. Yes, you can say that game about mental hospital isn't original, but    I love this game. I knew about this 5 years ago, when I was only nine. I fell love with this game and I wanted to play it very much. And I did it just one year ago and I was so happy that my dream has turned.
    Now, some words about game-play in this beautiful game.
    It's very good horror and it's very original game. Yes, you can say that game about mental hospital isn't original, but nowhere else you will get such an atmosphere as in Outlast.

    Well, pretty scary in the beginning. But imo there's too much of the jump scares and chase scenes, like every other minute. That made me lose the respect of the enemies pretty early on and all of a sudden it wasn't that much of a scary threat anymore but rather just another enemy that I tried to learn the AI of and just run away and win.

    Compare this to Amnesia the Dark Descent for    Well, pretty scary in the beginning. But imo there's too much of the jump scares and chase scenes, like every other minute. That made me lose the respect of the enemies pretty early on and all of a sudden it wasn't that much of a scary threat anymore but rather just another enemy that I tried to learn the AI of and just run away and win.

    Compare this to Amnesia the Dark Descent for example where the game doesn't throw 1000 zombies at you the first hour so you're always on your toes and afraid to open doors etc because you really don't wanna encounter anything. I prefer that type of survival horror.

    Played the game in 2020 after finishing the second game and it was still horrifying and fun! Independent of the graphics, which is not bad at all still, this game gives you a steady adrenaline pump in each second you play. 100/100 for a 2013 game.

    Um ótimo trabalho de história e gameplay, combinando horror com alguns puzzles.
    Detalhe para as partes onde você precisa arranjar um meio de passar por inimigos sorrateiramente, essa é a parte mais tensa.

    This is one of the few truly scary horror games
    Instead of giving you a weapon or a way to fight the "bad guys" the game puts you in a situation where you can just hide and outsmart the patients
    Personally i never felt so "alive" ( ironically) while playing an horror game and i think that's what defines OUtlast, the true horror

    A game that is not as innovative as you would hope. It is very old school. Nevertheless, this is a real horror-game and we can guarantee that you will freak out. It may be old school, but it is still a very good game that will blow you away.

    On one side, you have linear gameplay, at times simplistic game design and plenty of clichés. On the other – an exciting opportunity to star in a very cool horror ‘movie’.
