    Play on multi-player for maximum enjoyment. It's fun trying to get your company profits higher than opposing companies who have a 10 year head start on you. You can also pick up some building ideas from watching the other players build. Quick tips: transport coal or oil over long distances (across the map even) for maximum profits.     TL:DR Designing an efficient transportation network than can quickly move huge amount of goods is highly satisfying. The game is free and fun to play multiplayer.    … Expand

    Sweet game. especially fun against friends. I've probably put quite a few hours into, and it never gets boring, theres always some crazy train system to create. Also when your bored, its kinda fun to see how big of train crash you can make.

    All the good from Transport Tycoon Deluxe with added compatibility, improved features like better traffic lights and better playability. It's rare to see a original gets improved by a community, instead of destroyed. I played this game the most off all games I have played ever.

    Transport Tycoon Deluxe was one of the best games ever made. OpenTTD expands on the game, removing the limits of an old DOS game, allowing for bigger maps, bigger economy, more freedom and TONS of units.

    While I agree that the original experience is TTD, and they deserve the credit for creation, the OpenTTD is the BETTER version, no matter how you look like it, especially since you can    Transport Tycoon Deluxe was one of the best games ever made. OpenTTD expands on the game, removing the limits of an old DOS game, allowing for bigger maps, bigger economy, more freedom and TONS of units.

    While I agree that the original experience is TTD, and they deserve the credit for creation, the OpenTTD is the BETTER version, no matter how you look like it, especially since you can set the game up to be identical to the original.

    For me TTD means everything. It was the game that started it all: my passion for videogames, my interest on economy and politics. With OpenTTD I had the possibility to play again this old game (1995). Well, actually, this is not enough: OpenTTD is way better than TTD: it features improved playability, a dynamic community and, what can be surprising, online servers with lots of players.For me TTD means everything.     Looks like OpenTTD developers haven't heard that cross platform multiplayer between mobile and PC, $0 price tag should mention predatory monetization, and left all kinds of monetization out of the game. The game is free, the DLCs are free and with the large amount of content, you will also see frequent updates.

    The Pixel art graphic isn't a "make things ugly for a retro feel" type graphics, but one that isn't only true to the original, but also makes sure that the game wastes less resources on look and more on actual gameplay and simulation. We can have huge maps (even bigger in JGRPP version), extremely large number of vehicles and complexity.    … Expand

    огромный плюс - что любой элемент игры - скачиваемый контент,
    можно подобрать любое оформление, любой тип игры, любой сценарий, любую сложность, есть все современные возможности без изменений игровой механики.
    В основе всё тот-же транспортостроительный мотив, практически в неизменном виде за десятилетия, при этом практически каждая деталь выглядит свежо.
    Потрясающая убивалка свободного времени.

    Fantastic game. Can play it for 1 hour or 6 hours... it's all good. Great multiplayer! How many games do you know where another player can join in at any time and still have a good time?

    This game has the best graphics of any game. Games trying to look photorealistic fall further into the Uncanny valley while taking up more and more resources. This game knows what it wants to be and does that perfectly. Everything works.

    Free game that is infinite fun. Easy to learn but to really understand mechanics and how to build efficient networks, you do ned to do some research or just get a lot of experience. There is a modding community for those that want to try and modify the game.
