However, that being said, there is rarely enough ammunition, missions are long and tough-though the game is pretty short, with checkpoints spaced very far apart. This game really becomes a stealth game, and considering that when it came out, Serious Sam came out too, most players simply won't have the patience to play out the whole game without cheats. There are many things I liked about it, and a few things I didn't but I would love to see an updated sequel. Expand

Сочетание боевых искусств, перестрелок, сюжета и графики в стиле классических японских комиксов, простая и эффектная боевая система, при этом не менее глубокая чем в файтингах.
Oni просто лучшая в своем жанре.

The incredible martial art hand to hand combat moves combined with decent gun-play makes it one of the unique games made.Story is good. This is one game that I'll never forget. With mods/cheats(it gets activated once you finish the game) you can play every character in the game with very different move set.

If you're fan of the real-time close combat, you can go nuts with the hand-to-hand attack combo system, along with the extendable movements through game progress which are fantastic. Also the music adds up a lot when fighting and pursuing!

Now then, the story is not bad. The levels are either too big or "filled with so much emptiness": It feels annoying when you have to walk through all

Now then, the story is not bad. The levels are either too big or "filled with so much emptiness": It feels annoying when you have to walk through all the big empty places, just looking for hidden items or enemies camping around... and they feel repetitive too.

Some weapons feel weird to handle at times, like the rocket launcher, or single handed weapons, which can't use the left hand to strike, instead you have to switch to melee again... That's a detail though.

In the end, the game feels half-rushed. If multiplayer mode existed and the levels were smaller and better elaborated, score for this game could've raised straight to heaven.

I don't know why but I consider this game brilliant. It's not so unique, it does not bring something new to the genre, but it IS pretty enjoyable

Forgotten and not popular, but a very good game of my childhood.
A lot of different memories about this game.

One of the greatest combat mechanics ever made. It's simple, but rich and stylish.
But sadly game was never finished properly, so ithis game will never reach it's full potential.

Yet another brilliant game that was way ahead of the curve. This game was never going to be a critical success like Halo (et al.) because it demanded a lot from the player, it really is for the hardcore gamer. This is due to the very flexible combat system which enables you to dispatch the bad guys in almost any way you could imagine, resulting in great replay value. There is a huge variety of guns and hand to hand techniques to keep you busy, or my favorite, sneak up behind someone and break their arms. I think the reason this game reviewed badly was because you cannot passively experience this game and expect to win (I'm looking at you, Bad Company 2). The game provides the player with the tools to experience a manga-esque sandbox, so its really up to you to come up with a viable strategy to have fun. Reviewers that bagged this game probably wouldn't get Minecraft either. Expand

I would go back in time, to say this is a wonderful game, the story is looks like real, that made me affected at that time when i realize the her father is robot, nice graphics and wide levels for that generation, good animation, fighting mechanics are amazing, shooting with a gun is hard that makes you prefer to fight instead of using weapons,
you feel lonely most of the time with this

This is a guideline for how to properly review games. Many reviewers like to get a “feel” for a game, and arbitrarily give a game a score that they believe it deserves. This results in wildly different scores between different reviewers, and vastly different scores between similar games. This guideline addresses these problems and scores games fairly and consistently. This guideline also gives scores that are usually similar to the metacritic score.

The review score is based out of 10 points. There are no “half” or 0.5 increments. It is impossible to have a score above 10 or below 0. The review score will change as the game gets new dlc, drops in price, or if more secrets are found through the game increasing its appeal.

The scoring is split into 6 sections. The first five sections can add a possible 2 points to the final score. The first 5 sections are Single Player/Multi Player, Gameplay, Visuals/Story, Accessibility/Longevity, and Pricing.

Notice that 3 of these sections have two parts. These particular sections will be scored based on the stronger part of the game of the two. For example, if a game has a lousy single player campaign, but an excellent multiplayer component, that section will be based solely on the multiplayer as if the single player did not exist. This allows games to be based on their own merits, as many unnecessary features are shoehorned into video games by publishers to reach a “feature quota”. Games that excel in both areas of a section don’t receive should be noted in the written review, but cannot increase the score past 2 in that section. However, it can be taken into account in the final section

The final section can add 1, add 0, or subtract 1 to the final score. This final section is the “wildcard” section. This section is for how the reviewer “feels” about the game, but limits this only to this section, rather than the entire 10 point review. This section can include any positive or negative point that was not covered in the previous 5 sections.

Besides my nostalgic memories XD the game is really good and dynamic. The main character Konoko can beat enemies with different combats and weapons. There is 14 different levels to complete, some bosses to defeat and lots of joy by beating bad guys.

The game is now 20 yers old, although is still playable. I encourage you to try!

Okay, For starters, this game has the best combination of hand to hand and shooter that I've ever seen. It's just great. Period. End of story. Oh yeah, and by the way, whoever signed their name as Muro, I'M the REAL muro, 'cause I can do a decent imatation of him, not to mention spell his last name...

Good game by a good company. Oni has the best combination of shooter and action fighter out there. Only a few things could have made this game better, improved levels and multiplayer, which would have put it out of this world.

When you ask someone about "Oni" you typically will hear "what?" is that a Japanese game, comic or some other form. However, it is a game with an enduring and captivating storyline from and unusual origin of the main character to the defeat of an unexpected villain. Truly a remarkable game by the same creators of Halo.

Graphics are well established with few glitches in regards to camera

However, it is a game with an enduring and captivating storyline from and unusual origin of the main character to the defeat of an unexpected villain. Truly a remarkable game by the same creators of Halo.

Graphics are well established with few glitches in regards to camera angle. The one downfall is that you do see repeated textures and objects throughout the game. Fortunately as other reviews have stated in addition to my own. The levels are of a size that you disregard the graphical aspect of it and focus on where you can go.

The gameplay is fun. After a very explanatory (and Narrated) tutorial you are sent through to play a "mission" As you "level" through the game you learn more special moves and techniques that can be used anytime depending the position or aspect of your character or the enemies. There are no requirements for of a specific "power usage bar". In addition, the use of weapons is made available. These weapons have a limited number of times they can be shot or activated, however you will find them throughout the game as enemies will drop them.

This is a game of hand-to-hand fighting mixed with a 3rd person shooter. It requires more strategy than most, and makes it hard to just "run and shoot things". This is a well balanced game which I have played through many times over the last few years.

On a side note and disappointing note, it does require extra effort to work well on Windows XP (not entirely sure about Vista).

Düşmanın elinden silahını çabuk almanız lazımdı. Yoksa kullanıp cephaneyi bitiriyordu.

  1. A worthwhile purchase for a big time fighting fan, just remember that with this one, you'll be left feeling a little deprived, and without much replay value, it will probably collect a lot of dust on the shelf.
  2. A very entertaining, exhilarating and challenging game for those who would rather star in an action movie than merely watch one.
  3. The combat is what really grabs this game and barely keeps it from sinking into oblivion.
