Transitioning from Factorio, I appreciated the need for creativity and number crunching in this game. Unlike Factorio, however, the game doesn't provide production rate metrics, requiring players to observe and adjust their production chains accordingly. That being said, the game rarely leaves you idle, except towards the end when everything is set up according to your preferences. Thankfully, there are several activities to occupy your time, such as sleeping in bed, enhancing your house, or taking a space walk. These additional side pursuits add to the overall charm of the game without becoming distractions from the main gameplay.

Based on my playtime, I can confidently say that this game is worth it. Additionally, there are hints of future content updates, which is exciting to anticipate. 100/100

Nova Lands draws clear inspiration from Forager with its island expansion and crafting concept, but it brings a delightful and refreshing twist to the genre by introducing complex production chains, scalable resources, upgrades, and an abundance of collectible cosmetic skins.

I managed to complete a full playthrough and reach about halfway through a second playthrough in approximately 20 hours. Therefore, it's important to set realistic expectations regarding the game's length. While Nova Lands may not be a sprawling epic in terms of completion time, it undoubtedly offers a fun and enjoyable experience.

The game boasts numerous positives, such as its art style, crafting system, exploration mechanics, and farming elements. However, it's worth mentioning the two downsides: the lack of precise production limits and hidden production timers, which can be seen as drawbacks.

The game combines elements from Forager and Factorio but falls short of excelling in either aspect. The initial hours are enjoyable, filled with anticipation and unlocking new content. However, my overall impression is marred by the disappointing ending, which overshadowed the positive experience I had during the first three-quarters of the game.

Unlike Factorio's expansive map and blueprint system that encourages the growth of a colossal factory, this game restricts your workspace severely. Towards the end, I struggled to fit numerous assemblers on a small island, hampering production speed despite gem speed-up upgrades.

Logistics and collector robots are also limited, with only five allowed per island, making packaged product management challenging. The inability of logistics robots to carry more than one item at a time becomes frustrating, particularly when dealing with the requirement of 100 items per package. It seems as though the game's testing primarily focused on the functional aspects of the final 25% before release.

Despite these issues, I still recommend the game because it is enjoyable and has the potential to improve. However, as you approach the end, you'll encounter the limitations I've described. Increasing the available workspace, either by enlarging existing islands or introducing more islands, would greatly enhance the gameplay. Furthermore, having ten robots per island, with stack carrying as a logistics bot upgrade, would alleviate logistical challenges.

Oh, my goodness, let me tell you how blown away I am by this game! Seriously, you need to drop everything and get your hands on it right now. Trust me, I could go on and on for a whopping 50+ hours about how amazing it is, but I don't want to spoil any surprises for you.

Just take my word for it — this game is an absolute must-play. I guarantee you won't regret it. And let me tell you,

Just take my word for it — this game is an absolute must-play. I guarantee you won't regret it. And let me tell you, I'm certainly not regretting a single moment of it. At one point, I was a bit down because I thought it was reaching its conclusion, but lo and behold, something incredible happened that completely changed the game for me.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the developers for creating such a masterpiece.

Equal parts relaxing and chaotic, Nova Lands is an easy-to-love automation game with a gameplay loop that will have you hooked for hours on end.

It’s a brand new world that could use a couple hundred buildings to take advantage of all it’s got to offer, and with a little automation backed up by halfway decent logistics, a single settler can make it their home.
