    In 1997, the PS1 saw a plethora of great hockey games being released. EA NHL 98, NHL face-off 98, Wayne Gretzky's NHL hockey 98 and NHL Breakawy 98 were great games. However NHL Powerplay 98 is still a strong contender. The engine is great, the graphic are fine, but not on par with EA's offering. National Teams are also included in the game.
