    New Retro Arcade: Neon had everything going for it, including a tremendous amount of goodwill thanks to the original proof of concept on Oculus Rift. While this paid version adds new features and more reasons to play, there’s still a feeling that something is missing.

    An excellent gaming experience full of nostalgia and some giggles too (read the movie posters before you think about changing them to your own… there are some nice “alternate versions” of movies).

    It took me a while to understand what New Retro Arcade: Neon is: it's actually a frontend emulation for retro games in an absolutely stunningIt took me a while to understand what New Retro Arcade: Neon is: it's actually a frontend emulation for retro games in an absolutely stunning environment. Once you set up all your favorite personal games from this era, you can dive in and get lost for hours (haven't tried VR yet). The visuals truly reflect the atmosphere of that time, especially when you start putting on some retro wave music (there are these MCs lying around that you can put in a tape deck). So many little details from the sounds to the graphics truly make this a super cool experience.

    Performance is great, didn't get any frame drops. Arcadebuilder (separate application) worked without any issues) and makes your own customisation easy.    … Full Review »
