I despise such tactics but I trudged on. I’m glad I did because past the many faux choices the game does have an interesting story and characters. I will even admit that it has some very interesting possible bad ends. It does a very good job of handling both absurd comedy and tragedy in equal doses. There are also thankfully some choices that do actually branch the story in an actual way. The art was decent although not quite my style. The lewd scenes were decent but other visual novels have done them better, The music was top notch though and worth money on it’s own.

I played Neuronaut on Linux. It never crashed on me. I did notice a few spelling errors. Things like “coach” where the context suggested they meant “couch”. Also one use of “the” where it should have been “then”. The game allows you to manually save whenever you want and has fifty four save slots. Alt-tab doesn’t work.

Overall I enjoyed Neuronaut. There are both better and worse visual novels out there. I paid $1.02 CAD for it and finished my first play through in one hour and forty one minutes. I would say the current price of $10.99 CAD is a bit steep for it and would say $5 CAD would be a better value in my eyes.
