Noire. The other would be to notice the hints such as 'Grim Fandango' and 'jokes to discover' hiding in plain sight in the game description and to go into NeonCode with a tongue-in-cheek attitude, expecting to get in a few laughs for about 2 bucks. If you're the first type, you might want to look elsewhere; but, if you like cyberpunk-ish lighting and settings, if you like deliberately schlocky B-movies and you're just in it for some laughs, this is the release for you.

The story in NeonCode is so simple, the About section gives away roughly 80% of it. Sweet! The collectibles are the silliest thing ever - pre-2016 called, they want their stuff back lol. But all jokes aside, NeonCode is almost like a hilariously cheesy episode of Miami Vice in 2032, so as long as you're able to experience it exactly as such and you don't mind doing some voice acting yourself (since unfortunately, there isn't any), you are bound to have about 90 minutes worth of fun. The soundtrack is pretty solid, the area you get to explore in such a short playthrough time is suprisingly large, and you get to drive, too!

Some misdemeanors that really aren't worth holding the devs overnight for: the game would likely benefit from a menu option to view the controls, since there is no way to do that after the initial introduction. Perhaps adding the option to adjust mouse sensitivity would be a bit more user-friendly as well, even though it's really not too bad as it is now. The collision physics involving pedestrians are hilarious, but you'll easily find out how once you hit the road. After the credits have rolled, driving could get tricky since the character didn't seem to get into the car yet it drove nonetheless. And although just a final footnote on the list of misdemeanors in this unnamed neon lit cityscape, the translations could use some minor polishing here and there, just to take it up a notch. Still, none of the above ends up being game breaking which is a feat on its own.

Depending on your sense of humor, you might still end up focussing on the negatives here and granted, you can't always please everyone. However, having completed NeonCode without experiencing a single crash yet plenty of chuckles, it is a 1,5 hour B-movie investigation that is worth every dirty penny. Detective Craig Williams, out."

The graphics aren't the best you're gonna see, but the story and the very carefully built cyberpunk environment will fulfill your experience in this game, it has a not so smooth but nice gameplay. Considering the game was made by one single person, I'd say it's a pretty good game, and a very great experience.

I was very disappointed with this game. The visuals are great but sadly there's nothing more when it comes to this game.
