Jul 21, 2022Neon Blight has a clear gameplay loop that can become addictive. Kill enemies, explore the wilderness, make progress on some quests, find guns, take them back to the store and see who wants to pay to become the new owners. More depth would have been appreciated but the game mechanics mostly work as they should. Unfortunately, the game really spikes the difficulty when it comes to boss encounters, and constantly dying to their overwhelming abilities isn’t very fun. The developers at Bleeding Tapes channel some cool influences into their title but I feel that a little more balancing work and extra ideas are required to make it stand out from the crowd.

Jul 11, 2022Ultimately it’s just a tedious, scowling experience substituting actual improvement for growling noises and the occasional neon sign. And that’s disappointing.

Jul 21, 2022The game's concept and setting - a resistence running a gun shop in the dystopian cyberpunk world - were interesting. On the other hand, the shooting part is boring and store managing part is as lifeless as an empty can. Lastly, it is almost impossible to believe that the game is officially released because of so many bugs. It even made me feel like I paid to become a QA.

Jul 20, 2022Neon Blight could easily be a 6 or possibly 7 out of 10, however, due to its myriad of problems and drawbacks, it barely manages to scratch a 3. Hopefully Bleeding Tapes continue to release patches and get this game where it deserves to be. But for now, I’d strongly recommend avoiding this game until a later date.
