    Oh, EA and Criterion if you plan to Remake Most Wanted, then you better do Carbon, I want in on that project.
    Remakes are for Improvement, not just slapping Fancy Graphics and Changing Details, and I won't let you Remake Carbon as bare as it was in the old days, it deserves more love than that.

    Game in "Vol4" really nice finally. Added races with cops in online-mode what can be hard at some times, but its a nice challenge. Best trackperformance is reachable with shifting. Multiple cars for best "Metabuilds". Finally good usable car like "Mercedes 2.5 l A$AP Rocky Hero Car" for B, A, A+. Good youtube content for best builds if you search. Highlightet events and Races forGame in "Vol4" really nice finally. Added races with cops in online-mode what can be hard at some times, but its a nice challenge. Best trackperformance is reachable with shifting. Multiple cars for best "Metabuilds". Finally good usable car like "Mercedes 2.5 l A$AP Rocky Hero Car" for B, A, A+.     Subsequent updates are terrible,only one new car for each updates,and economy system is terrible,but all in all,this is a NFS get a passing grade.Hope next NFS will be better.

    This game is fun as hell, driving mechanic is insanly good when you give it a try and learn it. I just wish there was less police and endgame give us custom race mode.

    Gra nie taka zła. Wystarczy olać ten styl, wyłączyć muzykę i włączyć coś normalnego w tle np: Heavy Gamers na Spotify i można się dobrze bawić.
    Jazda jak w poprzednich nfs począwszy od tego z 2015 ale za to policja jest wymagająca, nie bardzo, nie słabo, w sam raz ale dopiero wtedy kiedy możemy jeździć autem klasy S.

    Если не смотреть через призму ностальгии по старым играм серии, то это вполне годный продукт. Убирем шильдик с надписью нфс и это как минимум 7/10
    Ненависть, которую испытывают к некоторым эффектам, на самом деле не сильно мешает во время гонок и не отвлекает от вождения. Относительно персонажей, они стали более мультяшными, что мне, кажется,    Чесно говоря уже надоело хейтить нфс.

И графика очень достойная принципе в нфс не было проблем с ней. Сюжет принципе прикольный, не бесячий даже интригующий.
    Если оставить в названии игры только unbound то на неё небыло би столько хейта, нужно уже отпустить когда-то культовые игры серии и принять ту которая она есть сейчас.    … Expand

    I played the game for about 10 hours and was close to completing the first week, and I think it was the first game was able to actually frustrate and annoy me, the story was meh up to that point, but the difficulty was what got me.

    You can't make a single mistake in any difficulty apparently, and the AI just wheezes past you, and you probably can't recover even if you have the best NOS installed, not to mention the handling which was strange, if not totally unbalanced, you can't drift correctly, the racing lines are a joke

    I didn't think this game was as bad as people said, but now I completely understand what do they meant.

I'm saying this because I've seen a lot of negative reviews about this game due to the anime-like character designs and all that sketchy effect during burnout or drifting (you have the option to disable these effects so it doesn't really matter) but this game has its pros and cons compared to the previous game or as a standalone product.. First, the graphics part and the art style, like I said, this part has a mix of real graphics combined with some cartoony effects and characters that I like. The sound part, as usual, keeps up with modern trends, so here we have rap, pop and so on. And now the main part is the gameplay, in this game we have the same day and night systems, so you have the opportunity to play on the same track in different lighting conditions. - this can be seen as a plus, but only if you're not trying to beat the campaign mode. There are 4 weeks in this game, during which you need to farm money to buy in for the tournament, as well as level up your car. So here we got some resource management where you need to think where take your money what type of race take participate and some of them simply skip. And here's the question: if you have the opportunity to sell a car, but why can't you sell some part that you don't use (as example you change your engine why not sell old one). Also, to earn money, you will probably race the same track about 10 times with the same characters. (yes, they try to give each character their own personality and their own voice actor) but as result same boring faces with the same boring cars. The final part is a story in a nutshell about the power of friendship and misunderstanding - that's all. The conclusion or to whom i will recommend this game ? i guess for some one who missed few parts of NFS and want to check it out (current state of the series) and probably for someone who just wanna chill out listening some rap music while driving muscle car.… Expand

Music, clothes, car customizations, thoughtful references, a normal story and a perfect game with the logic of making money and protecting it, which keeps you awake in the game.     Graphics are good. Gameplay seems fun but why cant you add a controller mapping. Im literally accelerating with the touch button on the dualshock 4. A button on xbox is R2 for dualshock.

    There is a bug and its annoying too. Your camera is literally stuck backwards.

    Maybe after a year more of hotfix, it might be better idk

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. To begin with, I will write the pluses of the game (there are few of them):
    1) Good graphics, obviously better than heat
    2) Interesting trails
    3) You can decorate the car without having the skills of an artist . Just paint the car with ready - made graffiti and it will be gorgeous .
    The pros are over .

    Now the minuses
    1) The difficulty of the game. I choose the relax difficulty and still have to sweat on the tracks to win . probably if I choose the lowest difficulty , then I want to complete the game without difficulties ? Right? AI beats you , whether it 's cops or racers , there are scum from city cars everywhere . Once you crash and they can already catch up with you . At the end of the track crashed - restart . there are only 10 restarts . If the car is initially slow , then just get ready to arrive at the finish line 3rd last .
    2) Cartoon animations , cartoon characters - is it designed for children ? It would be better if they didn 't exist .
    3) Gameplay where there is no special freedom.     7) Presentation of the plot. constantly this **** and my character talk and distract from the race . It 's very annoying . Yes , that 's how the plot happens in this game . I advise you to disable voice acting , subtitles .

Cuando vas primero te spawnean coches de policía que se estrellan contra ti y te hacen perder la carrera. El peor juego de carreras que he jugado en toda mi vida. Repetitivo hasta la saciedad. Tienes que huir de la policía después de cada carrera, es horrible. La historia no tieneMalísimo, está muy mal hecho, la IA te adelanta sin sentido aunque tengan coches mucho peores que el tuyo. Cuando vas primero te spawnean coches de policía que se estrellan contra ti y te hacen perder la carrera. El peor juego de carreras que he jugado en toda mi vida. Repetitivo hasta la saciedad.     this is the one of the worse NFS games I ever seen or played. like okay race game some race some drift but NFS series and drift is not good even game physics are not fully supporting drift mechanic. Game like do you want drift okay press S and turn, upsy you pressed "a" button too long for 0.01 ms you will overturn just lose all of your speed and place in no time

    Sad times for NFS. Terrible handling. It's almost impossible to make a turn without skidding. Anything activates drift. Dumb cops and NPCs, making the game very easy. It is literally the WOKE version of NFS. I played for 5 hours on Gamepass. Had I been bought, I would have been very pissed.

    I was excited for this game and it seemed like an awesome reboot of the nfs series with a fresh new look.
    Sadly I was disappointed although I really wanted to like it. ---The Good--- The story is ok and somehow interesting, but not very involving. ---The Bad--- Style over matter: The game tries very hard to look and feel stylish and hip, but it seems so over-the-top    ---Intro---

    The story is ok and somehow interesting, but not very involving.

    ---The Bad---
    Style over matter: The game tries very hard to look and feel stylish and hip, but it seems so over-the-top with it, it seems more like a laughable persiflage.
    Character creation: Just creating a simple male protagonist seems way more complicated than it needs to be - and afterwards he still looks weird.
    PC-port: The game is primarily created for the console and the PC adoption is done as cheaply as possible. Driving with a keyboard is possible, but so bad you switch to a controller very fast. And if you finally have enough of this game and just want to quit it, good luck finding the key, which shows the menu. It's not ESC as in every other game, NO! It's the TAB key. That's just one simple example of many issues the game throw at the normal PC player to be annoyed with.
    Car driving experience: The core discipline is simply bad. Driving happens to be extreme jumpy. Sometimes it feels sluggish and the input-respond-time take too long (although having great hardware) - sometimes the handling is so hypersensitive you can't stop crashing into things. In general, the car handling is very unsatisfying at best, but sometimes it gets so worse, you just wanna throw your controller across the room.
    Enemy AI drivers: Scripted! You placed a bet with someone to finish before him? He overtakes you, then crashes into something so you win your bet. You somehow managed to get into first place? The AI overtakes you right before the finish line, beating you be 4 milliseconds. Good times! It has nothing to do with your skill, but only how the scripted enemy behavior plays out.

    ---Conclusion---
    This game is NOT recommended - even if you liked NFS games before. The PC-port is especially bad and needs much work to meet common quality standards, but since the release was more than half a year ago, it doesn't seem very likely. I wish I could refund NFS Unbound - instead of owning a game I don't want to play.    … Expand

    I like the Cartoon-style Graffiti overlay visuals. The controls are a bit stiff and feel awkward at the beginning but it's something I got used to. Other than that it's what I would expect from a Need for Speed game. Cops chasing you and racing. Solid game with nice graphics, sounds, and music (that one is a matter of taste though).

There was of course some optimization issues and bug issues but during the time when they released volume to those problems happen solved and it seems like they’re going to continue to make the game better, but as for the game itself, I think the story is pretty hilarious and the physics are definitely OK. The progress in the game is way too slow. Scoring cash is a chore.     Its my second entry to need for speed series since "Need for speed Most wanted".
    First this game has no crazy story or characters.
    The fact what makes this game good is: 1. The Visual Style 2. The Street Racing experience I Really enjoyed playing "Need for Speed Unbound".. But this game had major starting problems (At the start later on it was fine) i don't know why this happened but    Its my second entry to need for speed series since "Need for speed Most wanted".
    First this game has no crazy story or characters.

    I Really enjoyed playing "Need for Speed Unbound".. But this game had major starting problems (At the start later on it was fine) i don't know why this happened but after 1-2 hours playtime the starting problems weren't there.

    It was a fine game, and it definitely had its moments. My biggest issue with it wasn't the art style as many people have complained about but rather the sluggish start of the progression system. There were some moments where the cops felt a little unfair but other than that, a good experience (not worth its retail price).

Bcs without it ur car is waaay slower. Also the BURST nitro works so randomly. Same thing happens after every ‚drift’. The roads are filled with random bumps, and the bumps also locks ur steergin wheel. The game should be fun, but the only fun thing is the car customization. There was also a bug that I kept experiencing where the car would just steer in one direction and get stuck and it would throw me to last place because it had caused me to crash, this happened a few times, in races and police chases too and it got very annoying. There were also times where the car would just lose control spontaneously and also cause me to lose a race. The cars handling as well needs some improvement, there were times I wanted to throw my car into a drift only for it to not do that and crash into a wall, the system in Heat was so much better. Overall I had fun with the game, but at an expense of many many frustrations with it. Do I recommend it? Yes BUT only if its on sale, I wouldn't recommend this at full price.… Expand

    That said, I 've to say YES, this is NO FORZA-Killer, but the first NFS with good graphics, fun driving-modell, nice tuning options and NO Rubber banding since a while. For me personally NFS, was more or less dead since some years. I hate this rubber banding effect.     A la ya horrible conduccion de siempre ahora se le agrega una mecanica abrumadora que te obliga a repetir eventos hasta el artazgo para farmear una determiinada cantiad de dinero y estirar artificialmente la duracion del juego. Pero eso no es lo mas molesto, lo mas molesto es que mientan en la campaña publicitaria diciendo que los efectos se van a poder desactivar cuando no es así y que te implementen un modo "grip" para quitar el horrible brake to drift, pero que este esté roto y te haga perder todas las carreras. Es como "que molestos son, ahí tienen su modo grip, pero con penalizacion por pesados, si no driftean no hay carga de nitro" Lo que se siente al jugar NFS unbound es ganas de cerrarlo e ir a relajarse un rato en el Forza Horizon sin presiones y con una conduccion que da placer.
    le doy un tres porque al menos los autos no se upgradean con cajas de botin como en el Payback (el tocar fondo de la saga)    … Expand

    Man darf die ganze Zeit mit einer Schrottkarre rumfahren, die man so extrem langsam aufgerüstet bekommt, weil man für eine Rennteilnahme 1-4k zahlt und am Ende dann so 6,5k rausbekommt, das macht überhaupt keinen Spaß, wenn ein Tuningteil (der untersten Klasse) 3,75-7,5k kostet. Man kommt kaum voran, man startet Tag für Tag und Nacht für    Das Spiel ist sogar schlechter als Rivals!

Wäre schön, wenn man sich die Karren auch mal selbst kaufen könnte, aber nein nach 9 Stunden fahr ich immer noch mit meiner ersten Karre rum und habe gerade 90k, 99k brauche ich für ein Auto das mal spürbar besser ist, wären da nicht noch die 20k die ich am Ende der Woche für die Rennteilnahme bräuchte, also schon mal 119k und Klasse-2 Tuning Teile einbauen wäre auch schön, muss aber noch für 7,5k die Gerage ausrüsten, damit ich das überhaupt kann und die die Teile kosten dann 7,5-15k pro!

    Noch was, obwohl es Menschen in der Welt gibt, wirkt die ganze Map total trist, tot, einfach leer. Es ist alles so trostlos dargestellt, man hat gar keine Lust überhaupt da zu sein. Die Mapübersicht und Steuerung ist ein absoluter Rückschritt, das Feedback vom Gameplay fühlt sich schlecht oder gar nicht spürbar an und insgesamt einfach ein total Rückschritt in der Entwicklung, als ob es 2013 wieder in Richtung 2012 und dann weiter in die Vergangenheit entwickelt wurde.

    Fazit: Alles kostet einen Haufen Geld, man macht dauernd dasselbe, man muss Rennteilnahmen bezahlen und freut sich nicht über den Gewinn, da auch 13,5k, WENN du 1. wirst, bei 6k Teilnahmegebühren nicht viel sind!    … Expand

    Arcade racing game is supposed to be fun, not frustrating and so grindy. Add that with bad soundtrack and bad handling, this is definitely not how to make an arcade racing game, considering the price.

I tried to put "WLM", "MAGA", & TRUMP" on my license plate, but they are censored for profanity, thankfully "BLM" is not. Whew.

    I gave you a point for improving the graphical fidelity over NFS Heat, short lived praise though as you morons managed to implement Denuvo and some of the worst optimization since Cyberpunk, and tank the FPS. Well done.

    Es ist ein sehr sehr guter Schritt in die richtige Richtung, die letzten Teile seit Most Wanted U waren grausam schlecht hier macht es endlich wieder Spaß zu driften, Geld zu sammeln und das Fahrgefühl ist sehr gut. Meiner Meinung nach sollte ein Nfs Teil jedoch neben den Rennen natürlich auch den Fokus auf epischen Polizeiverfolgungen legen das klappt hier nicht sehr gut man crasht vielEs ist ein sehr sehr guter Schritt in die richtige Richtung, die letzten Teile seit Most Wanted U waren grausam schlecht hier macht es endlich wieder Spaß zu driften, Geld zu sammeln und das Fahrgefühl ist sehr gut.     Insgesamt schwächen im Tuning, Fahrphysik und Events allerdings trotzdem Spaßig. Immer gerne bereit für ein bessere Version 2.0 davon :)

    A step down from Heat. The boost is the only improvement. Betting is also nice but you should be allowed to bet more than 1 driver. Driving mechanics got worse with the addition of grip tuning. The race turn markers are inconsistent with depth of field making turns look like it should be further down. Traffic is more annoying.     I am a player of old NFS has Wost Wanted PS2, Underground and Hot Pursuit 2 both on Nintendo Gamecube. I played sometimes on Rival PC but it is very limited in comparison with Most Wanted PS2. The best in my gamer soul. And then we are here today with NFS Unbound. It's a banger !! I am returned in my infancy and it's very cool. The bad point is that.    Oh my god ! A last an old style NFS.

    This nfs and heat is so far the best nfs series. You are on the right way, don't listen to the haters, they are casual players or people who don't have an open mind. The only thing I want to wish not to listen to these reviews, and make the game even harder in the future, so far this is the hardest NFS. I'm sure the reviews are written by people who have only played NFS Most Wanted. I hopeThis nfs and heat is so far the best nfs series.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. i personally am i big fan of the new kiddy arcade style graphics. the story, graphics, and characters are a big plus of this game. the game does a much better job of letting you grip corners than heat, which almost forces you to drift. The drift physics in this game are a little funky but they work. progression is quite slow but bearable. Overall customization is a bit worse than heat, not letting you search for wraps on cars, pretty weak customization on the player character.… Expand

    Better than heat but that doesn't say much, the graphics are OK, the visual style is different but gets old in 3 minutes, the music is horrible most of the time with a few nice tunes too far apart. Character creation is a joke just giving us a clown and no options would have been better. Controls are fine mostly, but I unfortunately started and got stuck with Civic for so long it was awful.

Физика стала приятнее, но это всё же кривой с ошибками Frostbite, честно кататься и участвовать в гонках понравилось, всё же Criterion в этом очень сильны, но вот с шинами для дрифта очень сильно ошиблись, DRIFT в игре не приятный, даже в Heat DRIFT был приятнее, могли бы и подсмотреть у ребят из Project UNITE, как сделать так чтоб машины скользили и перекладывались с одного бока на другой приятно, чтоб дрифтинг был в удовольствие, а не в борьбу чтоб заставить 1000 сильную машину на скорости 140, хоть как то начать скользить... Ладно теперь по пунктам!
    1. Отремонтировать сглаживание FXAA, чтоб оно сглаживало только разметку и заморы, не более. игра прекрасно выглядит без сглаживания, а TAA всё в мыло превращает.
    2. Изменить DRIFT шины чтоб на них можно было бесконечно дрифтовать как в Formula DRIFT, подсмотрите как это сделали Project UNITE в Heat, Payback, 2015. Да с копами не погонять но зато в ONLINE будет приятно проводить время с друзьями.
    3. Добавить в ONLINE дрифт заезды. Динамическую смену дня и ночи на сервера. Режимы с полицией (чтоб было видно время погони и количество нанесённого ущерба полиции). Speedlist чтоб видеть своё лучшее время на трассе и рекорды друзей.
    4. Ползунки настройки тонкого управления, прижимная сила, грип, дрифт, чувствительность, по поводу прижимной силы, хотелось бы видеть хотя бы какие то цифры от изменения, пример: 1 щелчок вправо 10 на передние колёса 10 на задние, еще два щелчка 12 на 12, а то такое ощущение что в промежутке 10 на 12 и это не как не определить, кроме что на ощущение.
    5. Музыка хорошая для сюжета, но не для онлайна, решается путём включения своей музыки.
    6. Аниме персонажи интересные, люди в мире видны благодаря этому.
    7. Эффекты на машинах кто бы что не говорил, огонь, спасибо серому дыму который убирает крылья и смайлы.
    8. Хотелось бы видеть больше обвесов и передних и задних фонарей от Blackbox
    9. Подсветка почему не настраивается по RGB, один цвет есть, но нет его пульсации, хотелось бы менять цвет и пульсацию по своему желанию.
    10. Должно быть два разных NFS один про улицу на дешевых и старых тюнингованных машинах, другой как hot pursuit про экзотику.
    11. Больше маршрутов для гонок, например по краю вокруг всей карты, ну и.т.д
    12. Сюжет и соперники... в классе B, A, одинаковые соперники не приятно у персонажей хоть бы машины менялись, Noise bomb 350Z в классе B, A, A+, S, S+ .... это уже просто больно наблюдать. В гонках с низким заработком могли бы быть рандомные не сюжетные гонщики на рандомном тюнинге с обтяжками от сообщества.

    Multiplayer is kinda boring, it always has the same Race Tracks switching in each Playlist for the Tier you selected.
    Also in Multiplayer you don't have to finish the Race to get Reputation and Money.
    If this what NFS is going to be in Future i will switch to Forza.
    The Graphics and the Effects are horrible and you can not deactivate them.
    Did i already mentioned the Music? Other Parts of these Series always had good songs in it but in Unbound there is not one Song that don't makes me aggressive when i hear it...    … Expand

    Not recommended, even you get it for free to check how's bad modern games.

Though it feels like a NFS game under the hood, the changes it makes in it's style and progression can make it feel like a drastically different game, for better and for worse.

    Pros:
    - The art style is truly unique, a nice blend of realism and graffiti/graphic novel's.

    - The racing feels nice and many of the low points in a race is made interesting through various graffiti style graphics (which can be toned down in settings in case your photosensitive) and nice use of camera shake and field of view.

    - You have a fairly large range of control over how the cars handle, similar to heat but integrated better. Some of this control is achieved through upgrades, some in a "live tuning" menu, while others are in the game's settings.

    - The cops offer a lot of pressure while your racing, trying to get to a safehouse to bank in your earnings, or even roaming the city. They can feel intense at first, but it's fairly easy to shake them at lower heat levels. Your heat only ever truly rises from completing races as well, and though it can go up one level during a chase, it goes back down after escaping them. Challenging but never feels unfair.

    Cons:
    - The story is a tad bit generic, or rather, it's very predictable. Outside of one not so surprising twist, it kinda just... exists, and dialogue isn't much worth listening to either (though definitely not as distracting as it is in heat). If you're looking for a deep and immersive story, this ain't the racing game for you.

    - Though I enjoyed them, I also recognize that the graphics can be a bit distracting for some players, between the different art styles and the frequent flashes and popups of different graphics.

    - At the beginning racing can feel slow and the pressure of the cops makes earning any significant amount of money a challenge. Though the pacing of the game definitely has this in mind, it can still feel frustrating during those first few days.    … Expand

    The world is well crafted with a sizable city, twisty mountain roads, and highways. It feels alive with pedestrians on the sidewalks and good traffic density.

    Single player progression is the best of any modern racer, as it makes you race hard to earn money to buy new cars. You have to choose how to spend your money wisely, and the increasing presence of cops as you complete races adds to the tension. It doesn't hand out freebies and every car feels special. The AI is very competitive, it actually feels rewarding to race against them. The story writing is not Shakespearean, but it gets the job done, and is pretty funny if you don't take it seriously.

    The handling feels fun and fresh, a massive improvement over Heat. You can tune your car towards drift or grip and both styles are competitive. There is lots of depth to the handling, with things like drivetrain layout and weight distribution giving each car a different feel. The addition of a new nitrous type, and slipstreaming, both add extra layers of strategy to the race. Even as someone who usually races on simulators like Assetto Corsa and iRacing, I find Unbound extremely fun and enjoyable to play.

    The car list is mostly a carry over from Heat. I would've liked to see more new cars, but what we have is excellent and covers a wide base from American, JDM, and Euro. Of course, the amount of customization possible is simply unmatched, and it really feels like a quality over quantity approach.

    Multiplayer is fun but needs improvement. The lobby system is outdated, we need matchmaking and more variety in races. Still, once you find a lobby that's willing to race, it provides endless amounts of fun due to its class system which allows you to experiment with all different types of car builds. Seeing what cars work best in which classes, whether they respond better to grip or drift, choosing to sacrifice handling in exchange for power, etc. Challenges to unlock cars give it a nice sense of progression and it feels satisfying working towards them. It also allows you to create your own personal profile which is a nice touch that adds an extra bit of personality we just don't see in games anymore.

    PC performance is excellent, 70-100 fps on 4k Ultra with DLSS Quality on a RTX 3080, very smooth frametimes. After a week 1 patch, no crashes at all.

    Overall, this game is the Underground 3 that I have been waiting for all this time. The core gameplay loop of racing and modifying combined with the excellent vibes, elevates this to a top-tier NFS title in my eyes. Thank you Criterion. I hope you can continue to support this game as a live service and I am looking forward to the next one.    … Expand

Betting higher ranked Ai will win you a lot of money but they rubber band hard AF so you can't actually beat them....so you lose your bet money (I've seen Ai on Easy difficulty be 100 car lengths out front of every other racer). If you bet someone lower than you, it's chump change, so betting is basically useless (I didn't even use the betting mechanic the first 15 hours of my playthrough because of how useless and rigged it is). The entire game is rigged. The exact same cars are always in the exact same positions in every race. The yellow/blue 350Z is always in first place, the 270Z Datsun is always in second place, the SS Camaro the African guy drives is always in third and so on. This is 100% every race. It's statistically impossible the Ai can get the same results every race unless they're coded to be in those positions. That's clearly rigging races coded into the game.

    Then you have to pay to upgrade the shop you're in, when you don't own the shop, just to get better parts. Why? I don't have to pay a shop IRL a $100k shop upgrade fee just to get them to order me a new turbo that I still have to pay for. It's just one bad money sink mechanic after another. The game constantly keeps you broke so you can't progress faster than it thinks you should. I've got almost 20 hours in the game and I doubt I've made $300K, overall. Again, this is a single player game with no way to cheat other IRL players. There's no way for you to ruin anyone else's experience, so why are there so many player limiting mechanics that clearly do nothing but hinder YOUR enjoyment/progression?

    Plus, everything you do in the game requires you to convert your safe money into heat money. The buy ins for races get payed back out as heat money, so the mechanic does nothing but make sure you constantly have money you can lose to cops busting you or the game freezing/crashing since heat money has not safety mechanic or "save" without banking it at the garage. Sounds normal, like Heat did night mode, except that the game is a buggy, glitchy mess that hasn't received a single bug fix patch since release and, if you just so happen to have a game crash or freeze...you lose 100% of your heat money. You will have a crash every session and it's random...so there's no way to prepare for it. This entire mechanic does nothing but punish the players. In my last two session I've lose around $70k because it crashed twice (once both sessions). I've constantly had to give up and turn the game off out of frustration because of crap like this. What's the point of spending 1 hour+ just to lose 100% of your progress every single time you play the game? You can't just go to the garage and bank it for safety because going to the garage is how you progress the day to night (you can no longer switch manually). You can't go to the garage and then leave back to the same day session you were just in. There's also a limited amount of time each in game week you have to collect the big buy in for the Saturday race that progresses the story. So, inevitably, you have to stay out and risk the game crashing in the hopes of making enough money to progress the story. The game is truly, genuinely not fun.

    The icing on the cake is how bad the story is and how terrible the dialogue is. 90% of the dialogue lines are written by pre-teens in middle school. "Yo, homie G-dog pimp, What it dizzly-do? Wanna skizzert down to the race spot and slap up these foos? YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!". Every line in the game is like this. Also, the Ai racers only have two voice lines and they same them every race...for the entire race. "Oh, you're good...I'm gonna pass you. You can't have my money, I'm gonna take your money" repeat 40 times per races for 200 races. Not exaggerating, not joking. It makes me want to turn off voice in game, but why would I want to play a NFS game as a silent film when the subtitles are still the same cringe lines?

    I hate this game. I cannot overstate how much I mean that. It's down right laughable how much better Heat is than this absolute dumpster fire.    … Expand

    I hate the comic art style its so insanely cringe.
    Graphics and cars are looking very nice.
    The driving experience is like a 4/10.
    But im in mental pain when i see this cringy comic effects and characters.

Great adrenaline gameplay, street racing atmosphere, good AI, this game has many interesting mechanics (race management, heat control, rivals u t.d) This game is challenging, some races ends with your scream inI just registered here, to leave my opinion. The risk/reward system functions well in creating tension during all parts of a race, but the grind is an annoyance until you get better cars or parts for your initial ride. The presence of elements borrowed from other racing titles is done well enough, but the story can be a chore to sit through if you aren't already using this slang every day. Overall, Unbound is a solid racing title that should hopefully start bringing the series back to prominence.
