Mar 9, 2020Despite the overwhelming special effects that make the game look pretty, stale gameplay and bland open world hinder this experience.
-
Jul 13, 2020The good:
+Open world and soundtracks.
+Car handling.
The bad and fugly:
-Native locked 30 FPS and technical issues with upper mid-range PC.
-Still broken AI.
-RPG like speedboost grindfest.
-Gibberish plot.
-Limited vehicle roster.
-Sponge physics (apart from handling).
-Poor man's Hot Pursuit sequel that doesn't introduce anything new to the table. -

May 14, 2022Оптимизация на ПК плоха. Стоит лок на 30 фпс. Графика плоха для своего времени, особенно, сглаживание. Открытый мир пуст и мёртв. В нём нет ничего интересного.

Mar 6, 2023No idea who gave internal approval to this game allowing it to be released. A should-have-never- existed game.
-
Apr 7, 2023Just text (crutch) to save the game to the list. Such things. Maybe I'll do a review later.

PC GamerJan 31, 2014One good idea--the racer's scoring system--spoiled by a thuddingly dull cop campaign and dumb design decisions. [March 2014, p.68]
-
CD-ActionJan 10, 2014EA managed to end the bad run of Need for Speeds released in odd years. But even if it’s the best NFA in a long time, it could have been better. Rivals looks and plays really good but it could use a properly working multiplayer or a real single player mode. And if you remember Most Wanted, Rivals looks quite familiar. [01/2014, p.38]

Games Master UKDec 19, 2013A scintillating return to form that's all style...and no little substance. Blistering arcade racing. [Jan 2014, p.76]
