    Fantastic! This game is the best of NFS Underground 2 plus a bunch of new material. I love this game so far and I can't see an end in sight. The visuals are amazing, the music is great, and the cars sound very nice.
    I highly recommend picking up this game, it's worth the price. There's a lot of gameplay for the price. Great value.

    What is there you don't like this game? All the racing scenes are cool. Well I have finished all the career and challenge race. At least the programmers has added the police pursuit, thanks to that spectular. Its very fun if u are in chase by police but i prefer the most difficult.     Most Wanted brings you the most action-packed street racing ever! Full of cops that are always on your trail and that darn Sgt. Cross! MW brings sleek graphics and the gameplay is excellent. You can roam in an open world and speed like mad. The tracks are great. There are some tricky ones which need a little strategy but that's a good part of the game. The selection of cars is Most Wanted brings you the most action-packed street racing ever! Full of cops that are always on your trail and that darn Sgt. Cross! MW brings sleek graphics and the gameplay is excellent. You can roam in an open world and speed like mad. The tracks are great. There are some tricky ones which need a little strategy but that's a good part of the game. The selection of cars is wonderful. From your average Fiat Punto to a supercharged Porsche 911 Turbo! The blacklist is an exotic part of the game. 15 street racing maniacs to take down, top on the list being Razor - some dude who hijacked your BMW M3 GTR. The feel of speed is also magnificent. You can reach over 220 MPH while free roaming. The tollbooth races are also well done. The whole feel of racing against time... The only thing is how tracks can get repetitive and the police... VERY frustrating once you get to Razor... or Bull (sort of). But once you get to Razor, trust me, the police are gonna become extremely aggressive. I gave up on beating MW because of it. I only have one damn milestone left but I can't complete it due to police difficulty.… Expand

    I have played all of the NFS games and this one is certainly the best of the lot. In the previous games I usually just played the "Quick Race" feature. I did try the career mode some, but it was not as addictive as Most Wanted. My progression in Quake 4 has slowed considerabley since buying this game. I just keep wanting to play NFSMW.

    The game is overall fun, yet you find yourself wanting to pick up the keyboard and hitting against the monitor when those dumb SUV's come head on and bust you eeevverrry frickin' time only to replay the event that took over an hour to accomplish... thanks EA for those SUV's. Good luck if you have a heat rating of 3 or higher... geesh.     This game was one of the first I got on my PS2 and I still play it today.

    The open world is incredibly varied and really fun to just explore. The police chases get so intense but you can nearly always escape and not get caught.     I remember the game its own story, not repeatable races. As well as a lovely atmosphere. However one of the best in the series. This superb unique colorful game deserves pohvolu and 10 points

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. this game was the best need for speed out of all of them. the graphics amazing for a game made nine years ago and has a career mode that is simply outstanding. as well as the challenge series which includes a black edition heavy SUV police pursuit challenge where you have to outrun heavy SUVs whilst accumulating a bounty of over $500,000. when i tried it i accumulated a bounty of over $2,300,000.
    unfortunately it did not contain the Nissan skyline R34, one of my favourite cars from need for speed. so i could not give this a ten    … Expand

    Best NFS ever made! Great gameplay, music, choice of cars and tuning. Everything in this game is perfect. Thanks to cops, you can play this game for longer time, then underground 2. Only thing I dont like about this game, is that it should be longer, and have more cars :)

    Nedd for speed: Most wanted качественная и хорошая игра в серии. Довольно неплохая графика для 2005 года, достаточно большое количество машин.
    Но есть и свои минусы и присущие всей серии.

    Until recently, I didn't like this game, I was a long time fan of the series and I've played every single title in the series from NFS 1 to NFS:UG, I skipped on UG2 and MW because I hated the idea of a story based racing game. So I didn't play it. But I've got to say, this game is something. I actually enjoyed this game, a lot. It didn't feel outdated in anyway. In fact, it was a breath ofUntil recently, I didn't like this game, I was a long time fan of the series and I've played every single title in the series from NFS 1 to NFS:UG, I skipped on UG2 and MW because I hated the idea of a story based racing game. So I didn't play it. But I've got to say, this game is something. I actually enjoyed this game, a lot. It didn't feel outdated in anyway. In fact, it was a breath of fresh air after playing the trash what NFS Payback and Heat were. The story doesn't interfere in the gameplay at all, the story is believable and isn't like Payback where we are cops who are chasing after criminals. The story nicely blends in with the gameplay. The racing feels good, the graphics are great but I've seen some games which look nicer than this and came out before it, or it could be just the fact that I am not a big fan of the greenish-yellow tint. The setting and atmosphere is great. And lastly the cop chases, they are a massive upgrade over NFS:HP2. The only issue I sort of had was the optimization, as I faced micro stutters on my modern gaming PC and the lack of proper controller support.

    Overall this is a great game, and I had fun with it. I feel bad for not playing it earlier, when it was popular. Now I can see why people consider this to be the best NFS title ever, and I can agree with that, although for me, its not the best NFS game, but one of the best. I will recommend this game to anyone who wants a racing game for their low end PC.    … Expand

    The one the only original and best NFS is now my to review. NFS MW is the 9th NFS game and it is really really great, the storyline is basicly epic and the graphics, the cops chasing after, making them fools of themselves, I know you can't do to cops what you can in GTA but this is NFS its a racing game and the best one out there in book. Cops are chasing you, you can race against bosses and you fight t[he way to get your car back. Beginning is kind of boring but the rest of the game is awesome! Also there are some areas you got to unlock liked in Need For Speed Underground and I like it. The only thing that I might not really like is that when you trying to get enough objectives complete and then you got to beat the boss, when you get to the top ten it's getting boring that you being chased by the cops and when you finally escape, you got to do it again because there are not enough points.… Expand

The better: you dont have to buy all the tuning pieces to advance in the plot(bye, bye self-spinnig rims!), the police(if only EA let us drive the law enforcers...) and the city. The same ol' genius: engine sound, the pure pleasure of driving, mazda rx-8:D. The worse: no drifts(even as a quick race option), no urls at the airport, worse soundtrack(rememberIs it better than NFSU2?     This game is one of my personal favorites. The high speed police chases, the blacklist racers, and those phycho pathic taxi drivers that always seem to screw up a race for me >:( . A very good game... Most people say you can't disable the high speed blur thing, but you can. I forget how but its disabled for me and i can play fine.

    definitely the best pc arcade racing game of the last decade.

    superb car handling, wonderfully adjusted challenging competitors, a story that pumps you up and beautiful car selection.

Need For Speed Most Wanted is in my opinion the best Need For Speed game with excellent graphics that have aged a decade well, lots of crazy f***ing s*** with the police, and an excellent story where character development is deep. Even though NFS 2015 is my favorite game in the franchise, I don't think it could beat the classics.

    The game starts out with antagonist "Razor" who cheats and steals your car. In order to get your car back, you need to go through 14 other bosses in which you can take there car fair and square. Characters are in-depth and usually call you through SMS and FMV cutscenes. The game never feels repeatative and you always have something to do.

    Definetly a good entry into Need For Speed series, but i can't agree on that its the best one. Car customazation is quite dumbed down compared to Underground games and rubber banded AI is more agressive and overpowered than ever. I like the more cinematic feel the game tries to go with in the game starting chapter, but then suddenly up till the very end theres barely any cinematics, justDefinetly a good entry into Need For Speed series, but i can't agree on that its the best one. Razor's a true A hole and it somehow works in this game, you really wanna finish off the Blacklist racers to get to him and get back your ride to shut him up, he's a pretty decent antagonist. Story overall is pretty cheesy, but unlike in Need For Speed 2015, in Most Wanted it actually works.

    Driving itself overall feels nice for an arcade racer, when youre speeding near or 300 kmh it really feels like that speed unlike many other racing games, great sense of speed, its just annoying that cars heavily lack traction when youre going off stand still, they slip around too much and this really becomes an issue when youre escaping cops, it'll get you busted easily since theyre very overpowered and cant swarm and lock you in real fast and easy. Another great thing are the car sounds, every car sounds extremely close to their real life counterpart, if not bit too agressive, but i dont mind that, works really well in a game.

    Graphics for 2005 are very well done, probably one of the best looking game of that time and it runs overall fine on modern PC, just lacks wide screen resolution support and theres some stuttering here and there, but nothing game breaking.    … Expand

There's a reason Ghost Gamers makes it a big deal when influences or references make into new games such as Payback. However, I'm not entirely sure Ghost Gamers themselves fully understand why Most Wanted isNeed For Speed Most Wanted. What is it about this game particular that has inspired so much passion throughout the years? MW seems to be the standard by which every new NFS is judged. There's a reason Ghost Gamers makes it a big deal when influences or references make into new games such as Payback. However, I'm not entirely sure Ghost Gamers themselves fully understand why Most Wanted is revered so lovingly.
    One of my favorite parts of MW is how it establishes presence. It feels like there are unique people with different personalities in each of the cars featured in the game. When a member of the MW pulls up to the starting line, There's a very real pressure that emanates through the player. Maybe it's from the great soundtrack, or maybe it's the culminating from all the hard work. Regardless, MW is filled with personality. it's not entirely present in the world - especially by modern standards- but it's made apparent by its cast.
    New physics engines, gameplay mechanics, and other improvements can make racing games of the past feel inferior from a gameplay perspective but not MW. upon replaying it, I was genuinely surprised at how well the car physics holds up. If anything Most Wanted feels much more weighted and realistic than a lot of modern arcade racers, making the feeling of going over 100 MPH feel that much more exciting and dangerous. Since MW was created before online multiplayer became popular, EA Black Box could take some creative liberties in the gameplay, like adding a slow-motion button that helps the player make tough corners and weave through traffic. also, it looks cool.
    Racing and Customizing are the two sides of the MW coin. It may not be as in-depth as it was in Underground 2, but MW is more subtle, which is saying something, considering it's packed with trivial decals and giant spoilers. I think the extensive customization available in some of the older NFS games is what gave them so much acclaim.
    Police Chases! NFS: MW has the best police chases not only in its franchise but in gaming as a whole. While sometimes the in-game officers have to be goaded into a chase to get into the higher heats, once it heats up, it heats up! Rhinos, helicopters, and corvettes will all try to take the player down at intense speeds, creating some of the franchise's most iconic moments. The stakes are high because if the police catch the player too many times, their car is impounded. The personal value in the player's vehicle is one of the most essential parts of the entire game.
    A lot of racing games have focused more on having a collection of vehicles at the player's disposal, while games like MW and U2 focused more on the bond between the player and the vehicle. I know I can't help but feel proud of myself when I get out of the sticky police chases or win tough races against the MW. It's because it all feels earned, and that my vehicle was reliable enough to get me through it. This is the foundation on which all good racing games should be built on!    … Expand

I just bought the game last month (Black Edition of course) driving fast in any car getting chased by the cops in excellent until you get to the high heat level especially 5 or 6, then it's hard to get rid of the cops behind you. I hate the drag racing, I get very fustrated, I get so pissed off with it I stop playing the game. The blurr when This is a good game, but has a few flaws. I download the patch for it, doesnt work. The game graphic's are choppy and also freezes on me. It must be this game only, because I also got nfsu2 don't have a problem with that one, only this one. I can't turn the graphic's up on high because the games frame rate will go to a halt(won't work), so I had to keep it at low levels. I do like the big airs that are in the game. Mostly down by the docks, there great. But the overall game I give it a 6.… Expand

The ugly: Drag racing is terrible. Abysmal. You don't actually steer the car, you just choose when to change lanes and gears, which is retarded enough in itself. Not only that, cars pull out right in front of you from side streets, causing you to crash. In one race (a career race you can't skip) a van pulls out in just the right spot to block both lanes on the drag race every single time.     While this game has fun moments, the AI is absolutely useless. I was driving a Corvette C6, fully modified to ultimate with some custom extra parts (full stats on everything) and I couldn't keep up with a computer controlled fiat punto. On a straightway, doing 220 while blowing NOS, the fiat kept up and pulled away when nos ran out.

    The only inovation in this game is the graphics. Everything else is a step in the wrong direction. In my opinion, games should be moving towards unlimited possibilities, not linear racing with almost no exploration. The gameplay is very limited, the racing feels sticky. Reminds me of Rad Racer.... If all you care about is graphics, this is the game for you.

Pushing or lure the speedy cops into the opposite-lane traffics are fun and easy. Yes, they're only game makers, they're no the masterful game players, but I bet they'll be inhuman one day!… Expand

    Mediocre. Getting chased by the cops is fun for 1 hour. Racing with your friends on LAN is fun for another hour. After that, there is little to like. For me, the lack of realism and innovation is what stops this from being good. Ok if you can get it for £1

    What i have come to find after a day of playing it is that the controls are inconsistent due to the nature of switching between steering regularly and drifting. The controls feel mostly solid until your turning hard and then its like the game thinks your trying to drift. Then when you need to turn the other way for the next turn, its slow as hell to respond.

    My next quibble is the unrelenting, magical cops. One second, after finally getting to the cooldown, im trying to keep my distance from the cops behind me, when 3 cops appear in front of me on the map - so what do i do!?!?!? i make the next turn to evade both front and rear pursuers and BAM
    a magical SUV barricade.

    Third - EVERY SINGLE THING you touch makes you wreck. Taps from drivers next to you "push" you into the wall as if they made you steer into the wall?????

    I really wanted to like this game but i feel like it's currently unbalanced.
    I haven't been 100% happy with a NFS game since they started juggling developers. MW1 was great, though it lacked the customization of the previous games.
    I'm not opposed to a challenge. A game that's well balanced AND challenging is fun.
    This feels like "Oh your gonna go this way... HA take 2 ARMORED CARS UP YOU ***"
    It feels like a big **** you when you try to make progress in it.

    The graphics are awesome, but the framerate is choppy no matter what, again, "currently" even with an i7 4GHz 12GB ram GTX 680 4GB Vertex 4 SSD and ALL GFX SET TO LOW OR OFF (except for HD textures). really...? (oh and the on screen prompts/ blinding lens effects regularly disturb your view, which can feel like a cheap trick to make you crash...)

    The variety of vehicles is nicely balanced so that you rarely see more than 2 of the same vehicle in a race (with exceptions from time to time)

    I think after some tweaking, balancing and optimizations it could be a lot of fun, because i did have fun when none of those issues arose. For now i'm going back to Borderlands 2, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Dishonored and Darksiders II.    … Expand

The graphics are still good, even compared to new racing games because some new racing game graphics are surreal (too many annoying lights and stupid special effects). It could be a 10 of 10 but a little bit more of a simulation and less arcade racing would have been better.

Complete all the challenges and you will get a nice 911 and a smoking SL65. Now, the customisation. Yes, all the neons, spinners, doors are gone, but there is still a decent list of customisation options. Also, have i mentioned how beautiful this game is? The game looks great!

Это шедевр, особенно на фоне очень слабых современных NFS.

    P.S: Я конечно многого не понимаю, и возможно рыночек такое не примет, но для меня загадка, почему EA до сих пор не сделали ремастер и прямое сюжетное продолжение (имеется ввиду продолжение уже NFS: Carbon, ибо сюжет MW продолжался именно там). Как по мне, это был бы настоящий взрыв, и NFS-комьюнити дружно оргазмировало в унисон уже только с одного анонса подобного проекта.    … Expand

    The same guys who made Underground 1 and u will notice it in the Gameplay and Soundtrack. Most Wanted 2005 strengths are the Game Speed and Police for sure. Together with Underground 1 and 2 the best 3 NFS Games. I just wish that Most Wanted had better and more tuning parts and instead of Time Races maybe Drifts or something more existing.

I mean, after the first race, I think everyone was interested, at least nominally, as you just had your pimp ride stollen by a skinny, white, weasle. Overall, I found it to be a lot of fun. It kept me entertained fairly well from start-to-finish, with only a few moments -- pursuit and drag -- where I was actually annoyed. The AI wasn't necessarily the brightest in the world, but it was smart enough to create a good difficulty level. So, as far as the AI, I thought they did a fairly decent job.… Expand

Controls work just as well on keyboard as they do on a controller. The sounds - everything from the engine, tyres and police radio and even voice acting - are imaculate.     Dumb, but oddly fun history, amazing soundtrack, gourgeous graphics, even for 2020. Signature BMW M3 GTR. Best Need For Speed Ever and one of the best racing games ever.

    Far superior to it's latest version by Criterion. Better story, better visuals even though the graphics are slightly weaker, full tuning, great variety of cars and more realism. It was just a perfect balance, although it could use a bit more realism in certain parts, this game cannot be classified as an arcade-racer unlike the utterly-rubbish Criterion version.

    After losing your car in a race, you'll have to win in back by beating the racers on the Blacklist. Slowly you work your way up, beating the rivals and the cops! It all feels really realistic and it's cool how you'll get to know the world you're driving in.

    Plus you get to pimp your ride :)

    Only minus would be that there isn't enough of it Oh and there are no people on the streets... would be cool to smash people lol

    This game is my childhood. Need for Speed Most Wanted is probably the best streetracing game I've ever played. It has good story, amazing gameplay, decent graphics by its release time, and great police mode. And we shouldn't forget the car customization, which in my opinion offers the best tuning options I've tried. Very nice.

    There are many features that interesting for me. Moderate excellent cars, hard pursuit and moderate tuning feature, which the custom of cars is not hard. But it has medium graphics, bad song and long circuit track that can worst a lot of time.

Cars are varied, muscle cars, exotics and tuners, you can keep one for a long time as long as you keep upgrading it such as keeping a Punto near the end and changing it for something better since it lacks top speed without specific unique parts (called Junkman parts). Daylight racing is specially interesting in compartison to the Underground series and it adds up with good graphics for it's age and are not too resource intensive. The pursuits are really difficult near the end with Spikestrips and Corvettes as pursuit vehicles.… Expand

    One of the bests nfs, the history was really nice, the gameplay and graphics really good too, and who doesn't like the most epic car from nfs, the M3? It's just really nice, i really recommend it, if you're a fan from the nfs you will like this one.

But I'll tell you what NFS Most Wanted does have: Perfect arcade driving physics, an incredibly addictive progression system, an actually engaging storyThis is, in my opinion, the greatest racing game ever made. Does it have the biggest number of cars? No. The best graphics of its time? No. The best multiplayer mode? No. Is it the most realistic driving experience ever? Of course not. But I'll tell you what NFS Most Wanted does have: Perfect arcade driving physics, an incredibly addictive progression system, an actually engaging story (unlike most of the NFSs) with actual characters, tremendous sense of speed, and very nice aesthetics (visuals and music). I played this game to no end when I was a kid, and ten years later, it still holds out to me as a superb arcade racing game.

    Your illegal street racing rival, Razor, has challenged you to a race and set you a trap, and earned your awesome BMW M3 E46. Now it's up to you to climb to the top of the Blacklist and earn your 'Most Wanted' title and your car back. The Blacklist consist of the 15 most wanted pilots in Rockport, and each of them is a decently well portraited character, as well as obviously a boss you have to race. But in order to do so, you'll have complete a minimum amount of trials, which range from normal races, to timed races, drag races, and my favorite of the bunch: radar races, where you need to pass through radars at the maximum speed possible.

    And then there's Most Wanted greatest aspect: police chases. These are a total blast to play. It starts out as a simple 3 vs 1 chase, but as time goes on, you'll be chased by an army of police Corvettes, helicopters, heavy SUVs and more. This pursuits are truly epic, and many trials involve things such as causing as much damage as possible, or involving the biggest amount of units before escaping, or other interesting challenges that keep police chases always entertaining.

    The car customization isn't as deep as it was in Underground 2, but it's still enough to make cool looiking cars without complications. The variety of cars is ok in my opinion. The game has also other modes apart from the main story, such as a Challenge Series and online races. It's a shame it didn't include local multiplayer of any type....

    The aesthetic aspect of Most Wanted is well rounded overall. The visuals have a particular tone/aura that I like a lot. The cutscenes are a bit cheesy, but very enjoyable and well done. The Blacklist pilot's introduction scenes are particularly memorable. Most of the people will probably be indifferent towards the soundtrack, but I personally love it, mainly because of nostalgia. But that doesn't mean there aren't great songs. Doing the final race against Razor with Blinded in Chains in the background is epic as ****

    So overall, Most Wanted is an incredibly solid arcade racing game. The progression system of taking each Blacklist pilot one by one is incredibly addictive, and police chases are pure epicness and fun. To me, this is the greatest Need for Speed by far. I simply can't recommend it enough, If you want a fantastic racing game, you'll enjoy Most Wanted a lot.

What holds it back for me is its stupid story, plot and cutscenes (who the hell thinks that racing games need a story? **** just let me race...) and the soundtrack. Some of the songs are nice, but the less worse track for me is from Avenged Sevenfold. And I hate Avenged Sevenfold. So, yeah, great game. Anyone should check out. It's just not myOne of my favorites, but not quite there. The physics were amazingly good, not like what you would see in Hot Pursuit 2010 and that crappy Most Wanted 2012. You would take corners without drifting, which I liked. The car selection was good with good customization, but not as enhanced as the Underground series or the new Need for Speed 2015. This was the high point in the Need for Speed series, and it's totally a game you could get and continue playing over and over again.… Expand

    The nod back to the cop chase mechanics of the Hot Pursuit games is certainly welcome, plus it's interesting to see that the vaunted "open" gameplay of the last two games has been dialed down by a more forcibly linear structure to keep things interesting.
