    It was a good experience and it was fun. I think this is not great but it's an acceptable open world racing game.

    If youre expecting this game to be like the 2005 one, move on, this is not it. If youre looking for a decent NFS game, this is for you. Most of these reviews are because of its name, if the name wouldve been diffrent this game wouldve probably been positively rated.

    This game reminds me a lot of burnout, so if youre a fan of that, this is your game. I really like the game, ive played every nfs from 2003 to 2022 and this one is one of the most enjoyable ones, atleast for me.

    Pros:
    Engine sounds
    Soundtrack
    Summer feeling (especially with the soundtrack)
    Car list (nice balance)
    Grapics
    Small detail but the realistic exhaust gasses are always nice to see when revving (which you will with those engine sounds)
    Cops, or most likely the heat system, 1 is easily escapeable, 6 is hell, but you wont get to 6 if you dont want to.
    Cutscenes, nice n epic, but can also be trippy.

    Mid:
    Dlcs, lots of dlcs.
    Story, let me describe. "Heres a list, get points by doing whatever, probably races because thats what gives the most, when you beat someone with points, race them, destroy thier car to own it, move on to the next guy."
    Handling, like it and dislike it.
    Performance custimisation
    "Found a car? You own it now"

    Bad:
    Copsystem, they give WAYYYY to little points for what youre doing with them
    Progression, just seems a bit dull and unfinished.
    Visual custimisation

    Thats all i could think of now, i genereally like this game, but theres defo better nfs titles. Defo worth a try if you have EA play.

    Very underrated title. Graphics, soundtrack, car selection, handling and the sense of speed are phenomal. The upgrading system is surprisingly fun and I like the open world very much, there are many shortcuts, jumps and diverse roads to take. Very much replay value.

Playing it now, years later, I have learned that Electronic Arts wants me to pay thirty dollars for all the content of this game, or spend five dollars here and there on the content I really want.

    I did play the game Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) start to finish, with the exception of downloadable content. It’s actually a pretty good driving game. It was developed by U.K. developer Criterion Games, who made their mark in the game biz with the Burnout series, where you crash cars for the thrill of it. Many would say Burnout Paradise was their peak game in terms of quality – Burnout Paradise Remastered is part of EA’s subscription program. Though I spent only a couple of hours with Burnout Paradise, I understood the idea. It’s a massive map filled with challenges for fictional cars. Some challenges ask that you crash your car as severely as possible. Some challenges ask that you win a race.

    What sets Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) apart is we now have licensed cars. You can get a Maserati, a Ford, a Dodge, a Chevy, a Porsche, a Lamborghini, and more. And true to Criterion’s signature style, you can crash cars and watch the replay. For those interested in history, this is significant. As far back as I’m aware, the game Gran Turismo had many makes of real licensed cars, but there was a catch. No car company wanted to see damage to their vehicles. You could drive straight into a wall, and the car would simply stop. It was a very powerful move from a very powerful auto industry. Most Wanted (2012) upended this tradition.

    Yes, you do get the replay, but no car crash is an objective in the game, with the exception of the “Most Wanted” cars. To earn a Most Wanted car, you have to beat that car in a race, and after the race, run the car off the road by bumping into it. After that, you’re free to drive it. There are ten Most Wanted cars, including your own. That said, there are cars everywhere in the game, with the logo of the car’s maker floating above the car. It’s usually parked in a visible area off of the main road.

    When you own a car, you can enter it into races, of which there are eight. I really have to give Criterion credit: the races are hard. Races are ranked Easy, Medium, and Hard, and even the easy races are still hard. This is polar opposite to a series like Forza Motorsport, where every race is stupidly easy. If you place first or second in a race, you get one to two upgrades for the car. You have to suspend disbelief. The police might set spike strips to slow you down, and a common upgrade is tires that automatically re-inflate after going flat.

    The police are a big part of this game. Often, one of your challenges is to evade the police. If you ever drive so fast and maneuver so deftly that you aren’t in the police’s line of sight, you enter a cool-down period, until they just give up looking for you. I’m not one to run from police, and always felt a little uncomfortable in these moments. It’s worth saying Criterion put a lot of work into cinematic scenes before the start of a race, like playing with the color of a city and its skyline, or watching your opponents levitate before racing. It can be silly, but it’s touches like this that give the game a little personality.

    Again, if you beat the other nine cars on the Most Wanted list, you win the game. The credits roll, and it’s a lot of credits. The soundtrack, which has ample space in the credit roll, was largely forgettable. Of course, the game never really ends. You can keep finding new cars, racing them, and upgrading them until there are no more upgrades. The real problem, is the game gets formulaic. That is the exact process: get a car, upgrade it in every possible way, and get a new car. There’s a multiplayer aspect where you can challenge your friends, but my friends don’t have this game. Also, there’s that thirty dollars’ worth of downloadable content (DLC), but after seventeen hours of a simple formula, I know all I need to know about this one.    … Expand

    Although it’s not up to its predecessor in story-wise, it had a fun gameplay. Graphics are generally good for the time. Also, car list and map is good. It’s a solid game if you don’t compare it to its predecessor.

    The worst nfs without a doubt, they decided to throw away the whole concept of the game they had just before E3, and decided to take burnout paradise, make it sh*t in its entirety with the worst possible gamplay offered and put an nfs skin on top of it. And to conclude it has a horrible fanbase and the online is bullsh*t.

    It would be a false advertising to name this game after original NFS most wanted. There is no story, no customisation. The police chases are fun, but no where near the level of chaos of 2005 blackbox game. Graphics are beautiful. Great variety of cars. Crash cam is cancer, that make faster cars undrivable. Overall game isn't that bad, it plays more like a burnout, than need for speed. IfIt would be a false advertising to name this game after original NFS most wanted.     This game is great, but the customization and upgrade system is terrible. As for the customization, there is only the color and upgrades that you get only in races. Players can't spend cash, only collect it after stunts and chases. Cars can be found randomly rather than brought in. The developers have created great cars.     By far the WORST NFS that I have ever played in the total history of NFS. this was a bare bones and pathetic attempt at producing a NFS game. The Steering Mechanics/Latency was/is so bad that I just quit playing after an hour or two. Seriously pissed off that I spent money on EA again releasing some non-AAA game with a AAA Label on on it. The only thing that can be said about this game inBy far the WORST NFS that I have ever played in the total history of NFS. this was a bare bones and pathetic attempt at producing a NFS game.     Эта игра настолько убога что она просит настроить геймпад хотя в игре он функционирует нормально, но играть мешает огромное табло в котором написано что геймпад не настроен почти во весь экран. А как я тогда езжу дебил это делал. Геймпад то оригинальный за 4 тысячи деревянных так в чём проблема!     The controls suck. The mission schedule is terrible . The only good thing about the game is that it has a Nissan in it . Graphics are good . But instead of playing it, play NFS 2 Underground.

    Oyun pek iyi değildi. Düzgün çalışmadığı çok zaman oldu. Hikayesi herhalde o kadar kötüydü ki hatırlamıyorum bile. Bu oyunda hikaye var mıydı?! Grafikleri fena değil, oynanışı kötünün iyisi.

    This game has the WORST CAR HANDLING EVER. It's literally unplayable because of that. When I played it, I wanted to throw my PC out of the window and jump myself. I just hate it so much.

    Personal opinion : I am obviously telling that this is most interesting and entertaining game. I have enjoyed this game too much. I will rate it 8 out of 10 because this game have some drawback like in this game we don't have a story line and the control was little bit out of box. It was amazing but I have to say only if you work on the control, the workshop and story line.

Однообразный геймплей, отсутствие тюнинга (в HP его тоже не было), но лол, МАШИНУ ДАЖЕ НЕЛЬЗЯ ПОКРАСИТЬ, точнее можно - только проехав заправку и то на рандом, музыка наверное неплоха, графика на любителя, единственное, что сильно понравилось - возможность садиться в машину, просто найдя её.Игра является заложником названия, но даже так игра плоха.     I used to love the NFS games back in the day. Free giveaway drop on Origin ages I ago. Finally gave it ago 2020. Looks fine, runs fines, cars move at a fast pace. Arcade racers what more can I say? It's been done the umpteenth time and probably better elsewhere. So weird racing around a city devoid of any people. This is not the game to bring me back into the fold of arcade racing, oh well.

    Ахуенная игра, что еще говорить. Сам играл с детства кстати в 2 андерграунда и 2005 most wanted. Потом решил попробовать эту и я считаю это лучший nfs всех времен. Очень нравится в тупую кататься на разных крутых машинах под ахренительные саундтреки, похоже этим и зацепила. Сюжета нету, да он и не нужен я думаю. Физика скорее хардкорная чем плохая.     Got it for free in 2015. Still not worth the money.

    Single player either far too easy or stupidly difficult.

    Online - driving a MB AMG-65 and get beaten by a God-damned Alfa Romeo Vito in an almost straight-line race. Either coded poorly, or plenty of cheat users in the environment, but it makes for a completely unenjoyable experience for the casual player like myself.

    The worst game in the series, it is not worthy to wear the title Most Wanted. This does not even apply to the 2005 game. Without a plot, without a goal, they simply give an unnamed blacklist and that’s it.

    There are no rewards for winning the match, only the rating advancing to the bosses, and details, by the way about the bosses, no names of bosses, photos of their faces, their voices, only their cars and the names of the cars.
    I don’t understand why the game was called "need for speed most wanted", because there aren’t a lot of cops and they don’t make much sense.

    Overall the game is good. Especially, racing is the best part. However, because of limited parts and lack of missions, there's nothing to do. What we can do is just racing cities. To enjoy another parts, races, then we should pay for DLC.

    So, to start out with, I'm given an unskipable intro scene that doesn't even set-up anything story wise. It is quite possibly the laziest intro I have ever seen. It explains the game mechanics in the driest way possible: Beat the 10 "most wanted", steal cars to do it. Fine, whatever, just let me drive around in my shiny cars.

    So, I am dropped right into the driver's seat of a car speeding down the highway. Fine, I can do this, but first, let's fix the controls. So, I hit the ol' escape key, go to options, and find the keybindings. Except, there's a problem; they don't work. I try to rebind my Razer Tartarus V2. No go: Tells me to 'release the keys'. Ok..whatever, let's try to rebind the keyboard. Nope, still wants me to 'release the keys', despite the fact I'm not touching anything. Ok....a little research says to modify the keybinding file directly. I do this, and it gets overwritten by this garbage pile of a game. I cannot set-up the controls for this game.

    So, Criterion managed to **** up the most basic of game features: rebinding keys. After suffering through the unskipable cutscene for the thousandth time, I had no choice but to give up. I wanted to give it a chance. I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. I wanted to come to it from a fresh angle. And in the end, I couldn't get past the first curve of the first road, in the intro car due to the fact that the publisher couldn't be bothered to get something as simple as keyboard input right. It took me longer to download the game than it did for me to uninstall it after the download finished.    … Expand

No seriously. Not even 1 hour will pass and already you’re driving top-tier vehicles like a Lamborghini or a Koenigsegg. So there’s no reason to drive the lower-tier cars, and there’s no sense of accomplishment. That said, each vehicle has unique events, at least that’s what I thought at first. By the time you max out your 4th vehicle, you’ll be racing the same events. Cop chases are not interesting either. Which is weird as they were intense in Hot Pursuit 2010. There's also no real penalty for getting caught either. So what happened here? And Fairhaven City is so small I saw everything in a couple hours. Paradise City is also small, but it was also fun. Fairhaven? Not so much.

    What gave this game high scores? Online. But guess what? It’s DEAD. So why bother? If you’re making a game whose selling point is online, it has to be damn good that people will be playing it for years to come. But nobody’s online.

    As said already, it was free on Origin and if you got it and it’s sitting in your library, give this game a couple hours, it’s still kinda fun. But the promotion has ended, so don’t bother. If you want to play it so badly, find it for like no more than $5.    … Expand

    Its a pretty game and the one race I was able to do was fun. But, after that first race I started getting chased by the police. I then spent three hours running from the police. Police who could pass a Bugatti at 180mph like it was sitting still. even when I did lose them they would find me before the five minute cooldown was over and I would be back at it again.     this game has terrible driving mechanics, all the cars feel like trucks.
    Because you have all the car in the game right off the start, there is no sense of progression.
    Some of the dlc cars outperform everything else which makes the on-line mode p2w.
    The smallest touch of an other car makes you crash and the npc's are extremely overpowered

    Un juego divertido sin ningun objetivo prefijado, libertad plena en realizar las actividades como se venga en gana, lo que si falta es contenido, carros, desafios, se siente vacio una vez que se terminan los retos.

    Aunque los juegos arcade de coches cada vez son mas sosos y los que destacan no continuan, como es el caso de blur, born out paradise o split second.

    Straight off the bat you are thrown into the city without explaining who are you, what you want, what you strive for and how you going to achieve that. The controls are ridiculous(why you decided A should be accelerate, have you heard of WASD?) Cars feels like you are driving rocket-propelled tank, it takes nothing to accelerate, but all the vehicle controls lag a full second.

No customisation apart from 'driving into a station from one end and coming out a different colour out the other'.     Great graphics, horrible gameplay. The cars all feel rigid with the handling, stock brakes are god awful that essentially the handbrake is the only method that works and not to mention there is npc cars for you to crash in, seeming on every street corner just waiting for you so they can drive in front of you.

    Just not a good entry for this franchise, avoid it to be honest.

    When the game starts, I'm already in control of the car. Unfortunately, at no point am I told which buttons give me the ability to steer, accelerate or slow down, and the first thing I do is slam into a guardrail. At this point, you might think the game will tell me "Oh, you have to press "A" to accelerate, "Z" to slow down, and the arrow keys to steer," but instead it just lets me crash into the railing, other cars, and everything until I finally find those controls do what I need to do.

    There is no use of a mouse for camera movement. So even if you remap the keys to the traditional WASD keys, you won't have much to do with your right hand save for the occasional button press, because there is no mouse involvement whatsoever. None. For a computer game, that is a waste of control options.

    The visuals look great, but I don't have time to enjoy them. Cops appear out of nowhere and suddenly I'm "busted". "Oops! Better outrun the police next time!" the game tells me, but I didn't get the chance, because the cop car appeared *out of nowhere* right behind me.

    The gameplay is a joke. I want to know who gave the AI a transporter, because one minute I'm 10 car lengths ahead, the next second my opponent has passed me and is crossing the finish line. I need that ability! Amazing! *sigh*

    I am so disappointed in this game. I wanted to love it so much, but for me it fails on nearly every level. I honestly don't feel like playing it, as it doesn't feel like a game, but is, instead, a Sisyphean task that makes me regret every buying the game.    … Expand

    Horrible! Handling is TERRIBLE. Just shocking. I cannot complete one race without crashing a dozen times. It COMPLETELY ruins the entire game. I have played one hour on this game and won't be playing any more. Handling just RUINS all the fun you expect from an NFS game.

    Every car I found (yeah, there're just super cars standing around the city just for people to pick up and race) drives the same, the driving model is just awful (what kind of supercar needs 50 m to stop to zero from 80km/h?) and the tracks are really straightforward (because the driving model cannot handle turning your car that goes ape**** above 80km/h). You don't really start any race, it just throws you in, every now and then you're put outside the actual game with cut-scenes after crashing, etc. Also the awful flow of the screen on super high speeds and just rubbish soundtrack made me want to puke after 30 minutes.
    Now, I've installed the original Most Wanted to see if it's just me that grew to hate racing games.

    Cannot by any means understand the 4.4 rating. I'm not really into racing games at all. In fact, the only racing games I ever played left me unimpressed. This game actually is the only one that I managed to easily complete without getting bored because it's just the most fun experience I ever had in this genre. Do not expect a storyline. I don't have any frame drops AT ALL.

This game actually is the only one that I managed to easily complete without getting bored because it's just the most fun experience I ever had in this genre. Do not expect a storyline. I don't have any frame drops AT ALL.

    One of the worst games ever!! The multiplayer just doesn't work at all... Its more like takedown its other than racing... Also the interface its the worst you just can't do anything...

    First of all I got this game free from Origin and I sure am happy about that!

    The first moment you get to the driving you can sense it's a Criterion game and don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong about that. I love Burnout games they are simply enourmous fun! It's the usual get to a corner, tap the brakes and slide at 200+mph and that's just fine in a game that has the environment    First of all I got this game free from Origin and I sure am happy about that!

    The first moment you get to the driving you can sense it's a Criterion game and don't get me wrong there's nothing wrong about that. I love Burnout games they are simply enourmous fun! It's the usual get to a corner, tap the brakes and slide at 200+mph and that's just fine in a game that has the environment built for that... Here the problems start. The game world is not designed to this sliding around drivestyle, there are way too many things to crash into. You would need the reflexes of a fighter pilot to even try to avoid anything and that only to find out you can't because the cars just won't react that fast. Then there's the inconsistency in handling. 3 lap race, you drive twice around the first corner in the same way, all is fine, then the third time round the car just won't go into a slide.

    And there's more when the police really take an interest in you either in a race, ambush event or just a long pursuit. Police Corvette's can drop spikestips while on the move, it was fine and you could avoid them quite easily when driving a Alfa 4C or a 911, but then further in the game you notice that you can't pass those Corvette's even in a Veyron and they still drop spikestrips and now you have no time to react to them. Then the basic police cruisers which apparently go like the Koenigsegg, handle like the BAC Mono and accelerate faster than the Ariel Atom V8 and sure they are dumb, I mean really really dumb. You just crashed (which happens alot) so after the crash cutscene you back up away the thing you just hit to get going again and BANG! twelwe police cruisers crash into you... And finally the police rhinos, thank god you don't see them often but when you do you're going to crash (again), most of the cars just aren't responsive enough to avoid them.

    After all that what else could go wrong? We'll just forget the "tuning" because there really isn't anything of that in this game. But I really do have to mention the ingame music... After 20 minutes of gameplay and continous dubstep torture I had put it on mute and put something else on from my pc.

    Because of the developer I have to compare this to Burnout Paradise (which is a great game) and because of the name I have compare it to the 2005 Most Wanted. And after 7 hours of playing this is no match for either of those.

    I really struggled to find anything good about this game... but I did. Mountain road, Chevy Camaro or BMW M3 and just slide there I had some fun.    … Expand

    First graphics are good i'll give that. But gameplay is very very bad. When police is chasing you there is almost no way to escape they just keep coming. I was even in the hideout and police spawned right in front of me. AI makes no mistakes what so ever and police is not chasing them at all.     The best racing game ever made and all these negatrive reviews are enough to blow your mind like seriously this is just an incredible game the fact that its been rated so poorly is criminal do not listen to any of these negatives reviews the game is just amazing.

    One of the worst games I´ve ever played.. starting from FPS drops to **** ingame ads just to buy every single DLC.. EA failed the NFS series so bad that I never ever want to play again a NFS game.. If you dont belive me check the EA Origin giveaway (feb.2016) free game... its rly a waste of your time.

    This is total disgrace to original Most Wanted. No customization, No story, No buying any cars. Races are boring as hell despite its have very arcade handling and its not motivating to do next races. Its total crap, I don't take this Need For Speed even for free.

    Like this game. After really annoying Carbon and some **** «official» racing games (NFS without cops, wtf) it feels like a good arcade for 2-3 evenings.

    Most Wanted works best when you treat it like mobile games – switch it on for 15 minutes, do a random race with a random car and then turn it off. It's a good arcade racing title closely resembling Burnout: Paradise but it's not exceptional. [CD-Action 13/2012, p.52]

    Most Wanted's biggest strength is that it feels like a cohesive whole, rather than some amalgamation of a reboot tacked on to another game's engine. The gameplay emphasizes as little downtime as possible, which is a good thing as it's an absolute blast whether or not cops are involved. It's not a reboot as much as it is a reimagining of the original game, taking the bits that worked and wrapping them in a completely new package. Surprisingly enough, it does so in a way that works, and the new Most Wanted ranks up there with the original.
