    My favorite Need for Speed of the old series -and maybe my favorite to this day. I might be blinded by nostalgia, but I don't care. The game was gorgeous like no other racing game ever was, and the reflections on the cars and the light and rain effects, oh man, was it beautiful back in its day.     I am played this game as a kid ! After all these years is still funny to play and I always comeback. And that Rom Di Prisco Soundtrack is amazing !... The handling, cars, all in this game is amazing & nostalgia is so big !

    Incredibly revolutionary and one of my favorite racing games of all time. Simply a classic, with various car licenses and iconic tracks with awesome police AI.

    Need for Speed III, although old, remains an excellent game for kids or anyone who's in the mood for a more "classic feeling" simple game. The modern patch mod is a MUST.

    The game has a variety of tracks, several great gamemodes, decent opponent AI, hot pursuit mode (as a racer OR police car), and even local splitscreen! The controls are tricky to set up for local splitscreen, but it's    Need for Speed III, although old, remains an excellent game for kids or anyone who's in the mood for a more "classic feeling" simple game.     This is probably one of the better driving games for Sony. Once you get the passwords, you get better cars and a lot more tracks. This is also a very good two player game that allows users to race head-to-head in some pretty wicked racing. The game also has a hot pursuit mode where you out run the law in your $200,000 sports car. Try it out.

    Its an improvement over the second game. The police chase has returned from the first game in a separate hot pursuit mode (but its the same as in the first game so nothing new). The graphics are about as you would expect to see in 1998. The music is so GOOD that even though the racing itself was relatively not that difficult, the music lept me going. The car selection is good enough but iIts an improvement over the second game.     El mejor Need For Speed jamas hecho. Simplemente increible en casi todos sus apartados. Si bien a simple vista parecería un juego de carreras bastante sencillo, tiene un montón de detalles sutiles que enriquecen la experiencia, ademas de estar super perfeccionado. Excelentes gráficos para la época, diseño de pistas que envejeció muy bien, modos de juego muy variados y divertidos (enEl mejor Need For Speed jamas hecho. Simplemente increible en casi todos sus apartados. Si bien a simple vista parecería un juego de carreras bastante sencillo, tiene un montón de detalles sutiles que enriquecen la experiencia, ademas de estar super perfeccionado. Excelentes gráficos para la época, diseño de pistas que envejeció muy bien, modos de juego muy variados y divertidos (en especial el persecución), controles perfectos, música inolvidable y un gran modo multijugador. Lo único malo es que es algo corto y no me gusto mucho que al chocar con los coches se sienta como si hubiera un magnetismo.
    En resumen, una obra maestra. Uno de los mejores, sino el mejor juego de carreras jamas hecho. Mas juegos del genero deberían aspirar a ser como este (por ejemplo, me sorprende que en los nuevos Need For Speed no te cuenten la historia de los autos e imágenes de la vida real, ademas de no poder hacer tantas configuraciones al jugar carreras simples, y mucho menos importancia a los climas en la pista, como la lluvia o nieve).
    Recomiendo enormemente jugar a la versión de PC sobre la de PS1, ya que esta ultima no tiene tanto contenido, ademas de gráficos ligeramente peores, unos controles mas duros y una IA injusta.

    A massive improvement over the previous 2 games. Track layouts are way better, handling model has massively improved. AI are a lot more fair and fun to race against although still have their quirks. Overall much better game

    This game is something else. It was the explosion of Need For Speed after first two games. Way better graphics, yes. Tons of new vehicles, yes. Cop chase, yes. 1998 was something different.
