It seems alright at first. Nice art style, great soundtrack, tight and interesting controls (only two buttons).

But then you get upgrades. And you have to execute jumps using double tapping and flying pressing both buttons at once. That's when it gets annoying. Really annoying. Having to double tap for jumps is ridiculous. Some reset points are spaced out too far for my liking. And some

Having to double tap for jumps is ridiculous. Some reset points are spaced out too far for my liking. And some of the "puzzles" are simply annoying. Like having to figure out the order of 9 switches by trial and error while flying - are you f-ing kidding me?! That's why I eventually stopped playing.

The creator claims that the game is "hard" but in reality, a lot of this perceived difficulty is caused by bad controls and design.

A really cool game. Reminds me a little of Mario, which was for years my favorite game. Interesting how only two buttons can be so challenging. Top game! Love it!!

One of the best games in this style, where you love level design and hate the level designer F**** u CAIO =] Super Meet Boy fans will not be disappointed.

Necrosphere is a solid platformer with an interesting control scheme and mechanics based around them, but I personally don't think the Metroidvania open-ended level design does this form of extremely difficult gameplay any favors. But, if you're another masochist looking for an addictive and challenging platformer for a low price, Necrosphere might be your calling.

Necrosphere shows that a simple game can be complex when it needs to be without being overly difficult, for the most part. The later areas of the game do require a near mastery of the controls. But overall, Necrosphere is enjoyable, and for a budget-minded Metroidvania, it’s definitely worth a look.
