    Mythic Ocean is a 3 and a half hour long adventure game, you’ve lost your memories, this eel tells you to go explore, find and talk to these gods, so you do just that, you explore this tiny ocean floor, talk to sea horses and dolphins, find each areas god, they’ll usually have an issue that requires you to find and talk to the other gods, so youll do a lot    Mythic Ocean

    Mythic Ocean is a 3 and a half hour long adventure game, you’ve lost your memories, this eel tells you to go explore, find and talk to these gods, so you do just that, you explore this tiny ocean floor, talk to sea horses and dolphins, find each areas god, they’ll usually have an issue that requires you to find and talk to the other gods, so youll do a lot of fast traveling back and forth, talking to this one, choosing the right dialogs to get them to help the previous god and solve their issues, its really a nice calming game, there isn’t much else to it… you swim around, talk to fish, there are no puzzles, there are some hidden pages for this book for oyu to find that you can use to help sway th outcome of th story though… as there are multiple endings, one of the gods gets to become the new creator and start a new world..
    but I was surprised how much I enjoyed just relaxing and how calming this game was, any sort of anxieties were calmed as the fish would talk to me and I would talk to them through their problems..
    Mythic Ocean wont blow you away, there are no crazy cinematics and I didn’t really ejnoy the story going on,
    But this was a special experience, one more about hey, relax and meet some new friends, hear their stories, and push them on a right path to their happiness.

    An interesting little game with novelty, important choices, and lack of need for violence. You spend most of the game exploring the visually interesting but rather small universe in which your actions will have a major impact on the future of the larger universe. When you've made all your choices, the authors show you their idea of your choices' impacts. The godling I chose was the most amiable but didn't have the skills to hold his creation together, so the ending I got was a downer. I haven't looked at the other endings.

    One small but annoying tic was the persistent use of 'they' in reference to singular persons. Apparently this is done to avoid persecution by the relentless forces of the politically correct thought police. It leads to sentences like "Once species started to disappear, they were reminded of Lutra's feeding frenzy." So who is 'they' in that sentence? Lutra? The species? All the gods? One particular god? English is not a perfect language, but fuzzy thinking is a bad enough problem already without writers making it fuzzier. Fie!    … Expand

    So, yes, it makes absolutely no sense. And yet within its own doolally world, it makes all the sense. It’s a lovely, daft, interesting, deep and complex game, with no combat, no death, just choices and consequences. Ethical dilemmas and questions of morality. And, perhaps most importantly, a head-banging puffer fish and a breakdancing crab.

    Mythic Ocean is a very cool game. I enjoyed my time with it, and people looking for an engaging visual novel with an open-world feel and relaxed pace will like this one. I wish I had more to say about Mythic Ocean, but I really don't, because it's a solid game that doesn't really do anything wrong.

    It has been three days since I said goodbye to the colorful cast of characters in Mythic Ocean and yet I still think of them fondly at random moments throughout my day. Mythic Ocean is one of those rare gems that gently works its way into your heart and mind, where the story is so creative and wonderfully told that you can’t help but think back fondly on the time you spent in its world. Mythic Ocean isn’t about putting limits on the player for the sake of progression. Instead, it encourages you to dive deep into its story and rewards you with a world full of life, color, music, and meaning that is sure to stay with you for years to come.
