ShootsyOct 6, 2004After 10 hours of playing the thrill is yet to be found. As bad as Uru if not worse. A total failure. A cheating on Myst and Riven.

SimondeC.Oct 3, 2004This game is truly wonderful ! The well built story is taking place in an astounding and highly realistic world, rendered with incredible graphics and music. Puzzles are of various difficulty levels, and rewards are always valuable. Well done, Ubisoft !

MikeJan 29, 2005This game is not for everyone! very hard, the puzzles are next to impossible to solve, unless you have a hint book with you. Other then the great graphics and sound the game does offer much when it comes to gameplay.

littlebirdOct 19, 2004A beautiful and successful homage to Myst and Riven, and building on what worked in Exile, Revelation is a true heir to the Myst throne. Well done!

GrahamM.Oct 2, 2004People who were fans of the original and of the 7th guest should give this a try, as for those who do not like puzzles and thinking in their games, they may hate this game. The music and atmosphere is great.

frufruFeb 1, 2006People who hate this game went straight back to DOOM3 or Halo when they quit Revelation in frustration. The puzzles do not always flow seemlessly into the world as in previous Myst games (so the frustration index rises), but the general engrossment remains from earlier efforts.

MatV.Oct 19, 2004Revelation is the closest thing to being 'in' a game yet! The full motion video blend seamlessly to the surrounding environments making this amazing world come to life. No other game immerses the user as much as Revelation, a trully amazing experience!

FooOct 26, 2004Beautiful graphics, beautiful music, wonderful acting and a well planned and thought out storyline, which is presented in a clear, interesting manner. If you buy only one game this year, buy this one.

Even though Myst IV doesn’t break any new ground for the series, it still remains an extremely compelling adventure game with a fantastic presentation and ranks as the best of the series and one of the best of the genre.
-
A great adventure game with a noble pedigree. Newcomers to the genre would do well to broaden their horizons by giving it a whirl.
-
Not for the impatient type, but if you are willing to struggle through the often laborious brain-teasers, you may find the final reward surprisingly fulfilling.
