The graphics of this game are nice, I agree with Karl D., the multiplayer component is very good.

Very very pretty game. Has rather advanced graphics engine, and of the couple of tracks that I have seen live, the graphics are good. The feel of excitement is excellent. Simulation is a little bit more than simplistic. It still looks like a motorcycle, but doesn't feel like it. But the prettiness overcomes most of the lacks. If you consider this as a racing (not sim) game, then it's fine! Expand

A very well designed game, tremendous graphics and very realastic simulation. But a difficult game and too bad there are no cheat codes to make the it easier. It took me more than a month to complete the game.... very tough.

Great graphics but let down by bad sound effects which sound nothing like moto gp bikes, bike setup could be a little bit more choicefull but as a game preety good! I race honda rs 125's and am aiming for wildcard 125 gp race at donnington in two years!!

This game is the sh.t, superb graphics and handling plus great options to control the difficulty level, top stuff! ignore mdlp who seems to have no clue what a god game is, probably one of the sad sim freaks (games are mean't to be entertaining not draining, nothin more lame than a sim, go back to your f1 crap).

Very pretty. Very arcade. If these visuals could be married with the physics of GP500 it would be THE motorbike game. Good graphics do not a good game make. Very disappointing.

Graphically the game is nice and the sound and music are also good. You need to get used to the bike handling because it is not easy. Overall a good game tough, the multiplayer component is very good.

One of the best racegames ever, good speedeffects, grafics are awesome. This game is for Arcade en Simulation racers. Much like the first Moto GP game which in itself was a complete disappointment. It is NOT an advanced simulation like the glossy packaging would have believe, but rather a fast paced arcade game. Having an X-Box, I was disappointed when the first one came out. It's too bad Namco wasn't given the license to produce this game as the PS2 versions have all been much more realistic. In simulation mode with the analogue buttons you can slide the bikes like a real pro. In fact I think I'm going to buy a PS2 just to play Moto GP 3. Expand

Now let me tell you: race bikes do not like being controlled from the keyboard! Steering is only half trouble - I have played many racing games on PC, and I'm used to imitate analog steering, quickly tapping the necessary buttons; but this is the first game where I felt I really NEED analog throttle, and analog brakes! If I were just two to three years younger, I'd buy them and enjoy racing for nights and nights. But I have a day job, which means less time to devote to such things as games. Expand

in addition to the easy-to-learn gameplay when you get into high gear the feeling of speed is so well done that the bike feels like a rocket making you really feel like you are in a race!
score 8 due to the fact that the camera moves in a strange way and the noises of the motorcycles seem like flies flying

Easily the greatest game ever to be developed, the racing genre never was able to met the driving simulation and immersion of actually feeling like you are on a moving vehicle and physically at the stunning locations that the tracks are located. The graphics are out of this world, giving you a sense of speed that compared to real life is only missing the wind going through your face like a knife spreading butter around a freshly baked brown bread. The soundtrack was purposely made for this game and it clearly shows, complementing the game perfectly. This audible masterpiece was conceived with such care and love that it you could easily imagine it being played by an orchestra in a Roman colosseum, a Boom festival or just as elevator ambient music in a 4 story residential building. The sense of progress when unlocking new tracks and characters is very satisfying and gives you long term goals on top of each race event.

Impressive how the sequels fell off so massively, specially since they were made by the same enterprise. As an avid Motogp games connoisseur, I can say with ease that the reason for this historical phenomenon is the capitalistic ideology in full force, where companies are trying to maximize the amount of games they can sell and having consecutive perfect games would remove any biological need for the consumers to ever buy another crappy playing software. If you never heard or touched this game, that would be why. Can very highly recommend this game to anyone that is willing to live life to the fullest (will need a fan to achieve this).

  1. Despite advances in the game’s graphics, and a few extra tracks, we feel a little underwhelmed – it’s just too similar to its predecessor. Don’t get us wrong, MotoGP 2 is a fine racer, but it could have been so much more of a dream machine.

There are a few more tracks, unlockable highlights videos, improved graphics, and better crash visuals, but Moto GP 2 is in most respects the very same game as "Moto GP."
  3. If the developer had spent more time refining the control scheme and graphics to make better use of PC hardware and had added more functionality to the game's menus and multiplayer options, the PC version of MotoGP 2 could have been as good as the Xbox version.
