    Gameplay: Great shooter, solid crafting and poor climbing. Prepare to be disappointed in the number of available guns. There is even less of them than in Metro 2033. Shotguns are useless now, since you will fight non-human enemies like 3 times (it's not like there are none, it's just that you can avoid the pain of fighting them).     Visuals: Massive update from the previous ones. Still can't skip cutscenes RIP. The only problems that i have are mouth animation (looks super creepy) and the black hole bug (screen starts to get darker and darker in the middle for no reason). 2,5/2,5

    Story: Don't bother reading books. Everybody is nice now. It doesn't follow the books, it doesn't describe some event that is referenced in the books, it's a complete alternative dimension. The only characters from the books are Artyom, his wife and her dad. Everybody else is made up for this game. The story feels kinda weird, doesn't fit to the atmosphere at all (if previous games/books were hardcore apocalypse, this one is medium-easy apocalypse), leaves many things unanswered (most likely because nobody had the balls to tell). 1,5/2,5    … Expand

Игра Metro Exodus произвела на меня просто колоссальные впечатления, начнём с того что эта игра показала что СНГ гейм дев может в создание шедевров. Продолжим мы тем, что эта игра просто Магнум Опус серии Metro, то есть отполирована и дополнена во всех аспектах геймплея и сценария, чего только стоит хоть и не открытый мир но его подобие, который с невероятной работой гейм дизайнеров просто интересно рассматривать. Но в этом псевдо открытом мире есть и огромный минус и он заключается в полном так скажем неживом мире, на данных локациях почти нету отстранённых от основной сюжетной линии заданий, чего крайне не хватает для более активного погружения в мир. Но этот минус нивелируется просто прекрасными второстепенными персонажами, свадьба Степана и Кати, иностранец Сэм, Алеша который не может найти свою любовь, а когда находит теряет её! Но больше хочется отметить самого главного изумруда серии Мельникова, который просто опустошил меня в финале игры. Я сидел словно на грани жизни и смерти, невероятно трогательный и красивый endgame героя, который всю жизнь заботился о своем братстве. И помните Спарта поможет всем ведь все мы люди, да некоторые хорошие некоторые плохие но все имеют шанс на жизнь. 10/10 Абсолютный триумф 4A Games.… Expand

    Most mediocre game in the series. I've tried it for years but I could never get to the last chapter and endure it enough to finish it. Gameplay and the story are extremely boring. After the first two great games, such a horrible ending to the series is unbecoming. Good graphics alone do not make a game good. This is the only basis for those who praise this game.     The game contains great atmosphere. i really was sad at the end and the story was great. except for some jumpscares hahaha. overall it was good... only problem is the mainchracter doesnt talk

    Разработчики поднимают планку, и делают апгрейд буквально во всем. Как только Артем узнает о заговоре, о том что всем людям в метро врали, и вместе со своей бандой крадет поезд дабы уехать куда-то далеко в поисках лучшей жизни, этот апгрейд моментально чувствуется, эти    У меня не хватит слов, что бы описать насколько сильно я люблю метро исход, это поистине шедевр игровой индустрии.
    Разработчики поднимают планку, и делают апгрейд буквально во всем. Как только Артем узнает о заговоре, о том что всем людям в метро врали, и вместе со своей бандой крадет поезд дабы уехать куда-то далеко в поисках лучшей жизни, этот апгрейд моментально чувствуется, эти философские разговоры спартанцев под папиросу о бытие( которые длятся невероятно долго) уже пробирают тебя атмосферой, а ведь на фоне в кабинке еще и Цой играет... И так постоянно, между перемещениями по локациям происходит кучу атмосферных моментов. То поженится кто-то, и можно будет насладиться "поездом в огне" в исполнении жениха) то подслушаешь диалоги о предстоящих событиях, девушек по обсуждают, да и все это происходит в вагоне поезда, этот стук колес по рельсам словно бальзам на душу
    Локации красивейшие, начиная от болотной Волги, закачиваю абсолютно мертвым Новосибирском. Немало важную роль играет освещение на этих локах, тут конечно мое почтение, выглядит потрясающе. Персонажи живые, не то что за бойца ордена можно положить весь Ямантау, та даже за Кирилла из Новосиба не грех каждому библиотекарю по ушам проехать. Любовная линия гг с Аней прописана очень хорошо, чувствуется вот эта волшебная связь между ними, как Аня переживала за Артемку когда тот не выходил на связь длительное время, или как сам Артем ловил глюки от радиации в лечебке, и везде видел свою возлюбленную, и из последних сил бежал к ней что бы помочь, очень приятно смотреть за этим
    Ну и концовка, хорошая концовка просто выбила из меня тонну слез, финальная речь Мельника про то как он извиняется перед Артемом, говорит что был не прав, что забыл как то для чего орден создал, и сказал что всегда хотел сына как гг, просто заставила меня затопить соседей снизу. Ненавижу правда когда просят прощения перед умершими, или наоборот перед самой смертью, как раз из-за обилия вызванных слез.
    Достойно будет оценить этот шедевр на 20 херовых бля мест из 10

    Last Light was peak Metro game but Exodus is still 10/10. And they should really let protagonist talk, clearly their dialogue writing is good.

    Not as good as Metro Last light. The atmosphere is good but other are mid. Boring main story (Metro Last Light is way better but Sam's story and the two colonels DLCs are good tho) and Creatures design. But the great thing about Metro series (like Stalker series) is that you can hear the conversation between NPCs, they have many stories to tell.

    1) STORY / NARRATIVE: Goosebumps! The most intense and hearth-breaking story i have seen for a long time. Emotional and satisfying ending for sure. Metro already has been known as a franchise that offers solid storylines. Not just the lore and story but also the way it serves that to the player is fantastic. That is definitely still here with exodus. A fantastic voyage thru this universe1) STORY / NARRATIVE: Goosebumps! The most intense and hearth-breaking story i have seen for a long time. Emotional and satisfying ending for sure. Metro already has been known as a franchise that offers solid storylines. Not just the lore and story but also the way it serves that to the player is fantastic. That is definitely still here with exodus. A fantastic voyage thru this universe that Dimitri Glukhovski created. Exodus is based on and starts with Metro 2035 and adds a lot of details to it afterwards.

    2) COMBAT / MECHANICS: This is not your typical FPS game. Carachter movement is so slow and far from being nimble. Mobility is highly restricted. You have to watch not just your back but also everywhere because there is no escape if you do a mistake. Same story with the ammunition and resources. So in terms of mobility and resource management, Metro Exodus is stingy. I love that tho. But clearly its not refined. I don’t remember how many times i got stuck in the middle of something important because of some weird terrain and game control interaction. So its unique, fun and good enough but feels far from being perfect.

    3) ATMOSPHERE / VISUAL DESIGN: Clearly the strongest part of the game with the story. Metro Exodus is kinda a 10-15 hour in-game engine playable cutscene. Illustrations are unbelievably good. Scenes and details are well made. Enviroment of the linear parts of the game are probably the best ones i have seen. At least one of the best in the gaming industry at the moment. Lightings, music and everything is nicely done. Every single part of the game pushes you to different emotions. Sometimes you feel the disgust. Sometimes you cry. 10/10!
    Unless you have arachnophobia or herpetophobia. Gonna say it from the start, if you have one of those you are definitely not gonna feel comfortable in this game in a bad way. There are so many disgusting creatures and enemies you will encounter. And some of them are really common. Game has 3 different small but highly detailed open worlds that have different bioms, side activities that will add more to the main story and different mechanics in it. You will spend around 2-3 hours in each. Also at the start, end of the game and between the open worlds there are unique linear sections that will take around 5 hours in total as well. In total this is around 10-15 hours a beast of an experience.

    4) OPTIMIZATION / PERFORMANCE:
    I am not very positive here. It works fine in terms of frame rates years after its release except some specific areas. But the way it performs and the layering is kinda weird. First of all crashes are common enough to make you angry. Also freezes and program not answering problems are still going on. Rarely but still there sadly. And the problem i talked about in the mechanic section, terrain and 3D model interactions are weird for NPC’s too. I have seen someone teleported or stuck for 2-3 seconds a lot.

    OVERALL: Probably one of the best and most unique FPS games we have seen lately. Not gonna say this is a must play for everyone or a classic but definitely deserves a shot if you are into something different than the other FPS game campaigns we did get last 5-6 years. A perfect storytelling sweet spot between a disgusting thriller piece that will make you uncomfortable in a good way, an emotional storyline that follows interesting areas and enviroments and a super heavy stealth based action.     Amazing final chapter in Metro series. Honestly, there are couple things that aren't great (like the whole pioneer map), however everything else is so well done. Sometimes feels a bit old in term of game design and especially body/face animation, but overall it just gives a feeling of the last great game of that pre-mocap era.
    +1 for very souly Russian post-apoc atmosphere, touchy ending and DLC.

    Metro Exodus really left an impression on me, and I deeply respect it. This wasn't the most viscerally entertaining experience I've ever had, nor is it the most mechanically sophisticated. However, I definitely can appreciate how immersive it is. Some games are best played with headphones, and this is one such game because the audio design is so amazing.     This game with steam mods will be a much better experience but $2 on WIndows Game Pass was a great deal.

    Kitapları okumuş ve önceki iki oyunu oynamış biri olarak keşke yarı-openworld gibi bir olaya girmeselerdi diyorum. Linear olması bu oyuna daha çok yakışıyordu. Her oyunun openworld olmasına gerek yok.
    Oyun uzun değil fakat yarısında biraz sıkıldığımı hissettim. Yine de oyunu biraz zorlayarak bitirebildim.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Спустя 4 с лишним года после релиза, пропустив скандал с эксклюзивностью в EGS и отмену русских игроков, я наконец прошел Metro Exodus. И мне есть что по ней сказать. Это прекрасная игра (ААА-уровня, бла-бла-бла, не буду говорить штампами из обзоров, я уже слишком много их пересмотрел). Разработчики совершенно не зря потратили на нее 6 лет. Это точно самый амбициозный проект, созданный в СНГ и один из лучших одиночных шутеров от первого лица, как и предыдущие части. Итак, плюсы: 1) графика - она не просто прекрасна, она просто великолепна, даже на своем ноуте с AMD-шным железом за 30 к я это ощутил; 2) оптимизация (см. выше цену моего железа); 3) атмосфера - постапокалипсис на месте, хоть его и стало меньше, чем раньше; вместо полноценного постапокалипсиса здесь роуд муви+выживание в дикой природе с ролевыми элементами; 4) оружие и все, что с ним связано. Мне действительно понравилось находить стволы, устанавливать улучшения и просто стрелять; 5) концовка, хорошая+плохая, плохая мне понравилась больше, потому что там присутствуют персонажи из прошлых частей и в целом ощущение, что ты получил именно то, что заслужил, как бы игра ни склоняла тебя на "светлую" сторону. Пожалуй, с плюсами покончено, переходим к минусам, они как для меня весомее: 1) слабый сюжет, банальный и ограниченный. Персонажи совершают нелогичные, опрометчивые поступки, но вместо завершения пути продолжают двигаться; 2) локации. Этот пункт как бы отдельный, здесь я приведу мой список карт от лучшей к худшей: Волга - кайф от ощущения открытого пространства и новых механик; Новосибирск - ты наездился по России и Каспию, и спускаешься обратно в метро, хотя поверхность здесь выполнена прекрасно; Москва - да, самые понравившиеся мне карты выполнены в зимнем антураже и незамысловаты; Каспий - после весны сразу в песок, но интересно; Ямантау - клюква, клоунада, кошмар, который происходит просто потому что; Тайга - фух, ну тут я реально задолбался. Как еще объяснить - для хорошей концовки нельзя никого убивать, пройти незамеченным НЕВЫПОЛНИМО, но и просто мимо всех пробежать не выйдет - свалишься в воду или застрелят в спину; 3) еще один минус - сложность - мой субъективный взгляд на неверное решение ПОЛНОГО отключения интерфейса в игре. Это относится к режиму рейнджер хардкор; 4) часто встречающиеся забагованные анимации; 5) молчаливость главного героя - вкупе с говорливостью всех остальных дарит незабываемое ощущение уныния. Плюсы есть, минусы есть. Ну, вот и все, итог. Свои мысли как мог изложил выше. Игра мне понравилась, для меня это правда был интересный опыт. Ее есть ради чего пройти. Но рекомендовать из-за такого количества минусов я ее не могу. Это - честно.… Expand

The only thing I dislike is that if you want a good ending, you very often need to play it as a pacifist, not as a shooter game. I did all the positive quests, dialogues and such, yet I got my bad ending, because I shot back at an enemy without knowing it may affect anything.… Expand

    A very big improvement over the older metros, as they implemented the open world maps. It features different approaches in order to complete the missions, you can kill everyone, kill only some enemies, or go stealthy. You can save some prisoners or decide to kill them, or leave them alone. Very cool bear boss aswell, and the world looks gorgeous even if it's post-apocalyptic and gunfightsA very big improvement over the older metros, as they implemented the open world maps. It features different approaches in order to complete the missions, you can kill everyone, kill only some enemies, or go stealthy. You can save some prisoners or decide to kill them, or leave them alone. Very cool bear boss aswell, and the world looks gorgeous even if it's post-apocalyptic and gunfights are challanging in order for it to be more realistic. Also the love story is epic aswell.… Expand

    I love everything about this game. It's a great addition to the metro franchise. It has a good story, great characters, beautiful scenery, good gameplay. I just love visiting different locations in post apocalyptic Russia, with all the people there, hearing about their problems and believes.
    So why isn't it a 10/10? Because it has some bugs, visual and gameplay wise. I personally even    I love everything about this game. It's a great addition to the metro franchise. It has a good story, great characters, beautiful scenery, good gameplay. I just love visiting different locations in post apocalyptic Russia, with all the people there, hearing about their problems and believes.
    So why isn't it a 10/10? Because it has some bugs, visual and gameplay wise. I personally even encountered a game breaking bug, so I had to get a save file from the internet (because this game doesn't allow you to have multiple save slots and my quick saves didn't get me far back enough before the bug), so I didn't have to replay the hole damn chapter (its like 4-5 hours). Sometimes a guy scoops water with a bucket that doesn't exist, other times there is a floating barrel. It can break the immersion when it happens. BUT it is still a great game.    … Expand

Graphics are still impressive, the game runs buttersmooth, though I did get a few crashes here and there. Music, atmosphere, weapon customization- everything is included.     Boring!Played for 5 hours, can't stand it anymore. Terribly boring, the shooting sucks, the facial expressions of the characters are generally from 2002. The plot didn't grab me.

    In general, this part is much better than the previous ones, everything is still well developed here, attention to the details. The plot is brighter and more touching. It is especially very cool at the end to watch, for what it was worth playing. DLCs are funny, which complement the plot, but not so interesting.
    All also there are bugs, flaws. Sound and music became better.

    Hands down my favorite game in the Metro Series. There is less of mystical stuff. Game is generally focused on post-apocalyptic survival and exploration. I consider Metro Exodus a fully fledged AAA first person story game. That's a mouthful, but it is a great leap forward for the series as a whole. Previous two titles were AA quality, but still awesome. Metro Exodus is excellent.

    The game has some very good ideas and is carefully crafted in every way. The open world feels alive and dangerous which adds tension throughout the experience. The ending was a bit too hasty though for me. I did not expect it to finish so abruptly, i was ready to play the game for a couple more hours at least.
    As a fun of the books i am very pleased with this game.

    This is my Honest opinion playing metro Exodus the first time, sorry about the grammar, This is not my first language. I finished the story and stopped playing the Sam dlc content.
    It started pretty interesting with the dark atmosphere, however, as the story went by, noticed a lot of plot holes.     It started pretty interesting with the dark atmosphere, however, as the story went by, noticed a lot of plot holes. I just ignored it and continued playing because it might get interesting again, but it did not. As I play it even more it became a chore to do things in a linear path. It is a semi open world and it doesn't work for me. Sometimes I want to go that way, or hop that way, but there are invisible walls everywhere and it forces you to just do one single path. If they want to go that way, they should have stayed to a clear single path map like their earlier games that won't let you explore places that you can't really explore.
    Then, I also purchased the DLC, The American is too noisy complaining about most of the stuff. It got too irritating plus too boring with the same tunnels and spiders and switches. Everything is the same even if you are in a new different location. Maybe this is just a small group of people that's why they weren't able to add more details. It is an okay game. But again, this is not for me.
    My standard of a game when it comes to open world is The Witcher Wild hunt and Dying light 2

    aun en pleno 2023 y quien todavía duda en si jugar o no METRO les aseguro que vale la pena jugarlo, ¡El juego es genial! Gran captura de la atmósfera local! el juego más atmosférico de su tipo. Gran historia, digna de una adaptación cinematográfica. ¡Excelentes gráficos del nivel de 2018! Los diálogos están bien escritos, te hacen reír y llorar, por así decirlo.

    I like the survival element. Story is ok. Played it two times within 2 years. You can rush the game or take your time and explore the world. Solid game
    I also can recommend the DLC's - together, because one is short, the other is longer (Sam's one)

    I don't understand how it was possible to create such a dull game in this interesting world. Metro 1 and 2 created this world with care and great story telling and this third iteration destroys it all, like a toddler smashing his tower of bricks. They finally left the underground and try to find out how the world is after nuclear Armageddon, only to    Disappointment. Wasted potential.

    The mechanics also got worse. So it's less fun to play and there is less motivation to keep going.

    Seriously if you struggle to find the motivation to keep going in this game, don't hope for a better part or even ending, to be honest it kind of get's worse. I didn't finish many games, but I somehow felt like I have to finish this one, to pay respect to the first two games, which I loved playing. If you're not bound to this emotional problem, I don't recommend playing this game. There are too many good ones out there, keep your money and spend it somewhere else.    … Expand

    Considerando o orçamento da 4A Games para produção do game considero o mesmo excelente e muito divertido. Há momentos frenéticos de muito tiroteio e, também, outros com extremo terror com ambientações incríveis. Joguei no PS5 e estou jogando novamente no PC, e o jogo está ainda mais bonito! Recomendo o jogo.

    Solid shooter with really nice graphics. Technically it is a bit lacking - i had issues with flickering, stuttering and crashes on enhanced edition. The plot was also boring and repetitive. Otherwise good game but 7/10 overall.

    the graphics are great,the guns feel amazing though it sucks that you are always out of ammo.
    I didn't experience that many bugs,but I had to restart a chapter 2 times because of crashing while the game was loading.

    In a few words: One of the best survival games i have ever played. The world is very immersive, the weapon system is perfect and the gameplay is sucesfully fun enought to not making the open world boring ("Far cry"). The bad part is the technical issues but apart from that i enjoyed every hour of the game.

This is unacceptable these days. it screws up the resolution of my other monitors while playing the game.     I like the graphics, but honestly game looks exactly the same as Metro Last Light as i remember it.

Я не особо поглядывал в сторону обещаний разработчиков, но меня вполне устроило то что можно бегать по локации (открытые локации пустоваты не много) , обследовать всякие места, плюс карма влияет на концовку, отличная стрельба, красивая графика, интересные персонажи, прикольная прокачка снаряжения. Прошел на хорошую концовку на изи.Мне очень понравилась игра, атмосфера там просто шикарная. Я не особо поглядывал в сторону обещаний разработчиков, но меня вполне устроило то что можно бегать по локации (открытые локации пустоваты не много) , обследовать всякие места, плюс карма влияет на концовку, отличная стрельба, красивая графика, интересные персонажи, прикольная прокачка снаряжения.     I loved this game and the scene at the end made me shed a tear. A good soundtrack written by Alexey Omelchuk will make you plunge into this world of monsters. But the tension of the plot spoils it a little. A large number of "coincidences" had a bad effect on this game.

    Leider ist die komplette Stimmung weg. in den alten Metro Teilen war dieser extrem Überzogende Russische Akzent noch da, der hat die Stimmung gemacht. Und das man ausserhalb der Metro Unterwwegs ist macht es nicht besser. Ich hatte mich auf ein Metro gefreut was genau wie die ersten beiden teile ist. Naja schade.....

    I've never played first two games as i'm not a huge fan of horror, but Exodus caught my attention when being on sale and i definitely don't regret playing it. Awesome game and awesome DLCs. I'd like it to be longer though.

    Great gameplay, excellent story and an amazing world it all takes place in. My only gripe was the Tayga region was far too short-lived. The Enhanced Edition is a great example of RayTracing and it working well to create an immersive world by way of lighting.     Feels like a chore at times, open world doesn't overall suit the series. Game seems to have a few bugs in the later chapters. Worth playing, but doesn't live up to the series previous entries.

    Как бы кто не относился к видеоиграм, Metro exodus - это искусство), которое в полной мере поймёт только русский человек, так как именно живя в нынешней россии можно прочувствовать в полной мере всю боль героев игры, в игре ты испытываешь уникальное чувство интерактивности с миром игры засчёт различных геймплейных мелочей, которые сделали разработчики, также реализму игре добавляет то что можно пройти всю игру не убив ни одного человека. В игре в игре есть посыл, который можно понять, только действовав в игре так, как ты бы действовал в жизни, также игра наглядно показывает, что максимально плохое может произойти в нынешней России, как в государстве, а самое великое в игре это соундтрек, особенно "race against fate", эта композиция просто самая великая композиция в мире, благодаря которой в игре самая драматичная концовка из всех существующих в кино или играх, из минусов в игре много багов и неидеальный геймплей, ещё плохая анимация персонажей(ну тут разрабам просто денег не дали), но всё это меркнет на фоне остальных заслуг игры, 95-97/100 минимум.     Несмотря на в целом хорошую графику(как в плане технологий,так и в плане арт-дизайна),качественную озвучку,качественные звуки оружия,меня абсолютно не зацепило. Есть прикольные моменты,когда ты куришь и слушаешь монологи персонажей,но ты не можешь сказать что-то сам,что невероятно раздражает.Ладно бы Артем был немой,как легендарный Гордон Фримен,но нет,блять,он говорит! Более того,здесь нет даже текстовых реплик,как в Сталкере,через которые бы раскрывался главный герой. Геймплей посредственный,непонятно как,но АААА геймс умудрились сделать и так не самый лучший стелс и не самую лучшую стрельбу еще хуже,а тупые болванчики вовсю начали демонстрировать свой "интеллект". Лично мне понравилось решение разработчиков расширить локации,но им нужно было делать игру с полноценным открытым миром,возможно даже с полноценным Метро. Музыки,которая врезалась в душу,нет. Лишь в конце композиторы что-то попытались из себя выдавить,но драмодел из Глуховского,как мы выяснили,слабый. По итогу,я получил довольно слабую игру,но не оказался совсем разочарован,в конце-концов,скучно мне не было на протяжении всей компании,а отдельные реплики вызвали у меня ухмылку. Могу порекомендовать лишь фанатам НАШЕЙ эстетики,РУССКОГО духа,тем,кто хочет увидеть ВОЛГУ,ВЛАДИВОСТОК,НОВОСИБИРИСК,КОЗАХСТАН,ГДЕ ВОТ ТАК РАЗГАВАРИВАЮТ СЛЮШАЙ ЭЙ,и тем,кто готов прощать недостатки,если что-то выходит от НАШИХ разработчиков.… Expand

    Only for people with devoted area , HEADPHONES IS A MUST for this game!!!

    Simply next "Witcher3+Dead Space" in post nuclear Russia :P Love it!

    So, good game. For me, the best in the series. There is an intrigue of the plot, cool locations and the very realization of the concept of traveling across Russia by train. However, in 2019, the silence of the main character is not good, so 8/10

    If you are a fan of this franchise, play it, all that you love is here, with additional polish and a few wonderful tastes of player freedom. If you are a fan of immersive shooters, play it, both the shooting and the immersion are second to none. Just be aware that some things might work a little bit differently here than you’re used to.

    Metro has always been a very niche game series with poor storytelling, broken stealth and unsatisfying shooting mechanics, which are offset by original setting. The same is true for Exodus, although it also adds "pointless open world" to the pile. [Issue#236, p.28]
