    Hauntingly beautiful and soul-stirring game! I fell in love with the gripping story, soundtrack and brutal combat. The story is about human connection and sacrifice. Without giving too much away, the great lengths that Artyom goes for his wife Anna culminates in a very satisfying ending and is sure to tug at your heartstrings.

    I will say though, you will need a little patience with the    Hauntingly beautiful and soul-stirring game! I fell in love with the gripping story, soundtrack and brutal combat. The story is about human connection and sacrifice. Without giving too much away, the great lengths that Artyom goes for his wife Anna culminates in a very satisfying ending and is sure to tug at your heartstrings.

    I will say though, you will need a little patience with the game. It develops a little slowly in the beginning and the combat takes some getting used to but, given enough time, the storyline comes together really well and the characters end up being memorable.

    The combat is BRUTAL and stealth-driven. You will need to be on high alert every step of the way because ammo and work benches are limited. I cannot tell you the number of times I was at the edge of my seat, shouting and jumping in shock when a monster would attack out of nowhere. The horror element is very well done and lends itself to the gripping nature of the game.

    Oh and did I mention how incredibly good the graphics are? I played the PC enhanced version (highly recommend) which allows you to fully customize raytracing and DLSS settings. I cranked those settings to "extreme" thanks to the powerful RTX 3070 and boy do the environments really transform. Since this a post-apocalyptic game, the everything around you is almost always rusty, dilapidated and just plain dead or mutated. This is hands down the most graphically beautiful game I've played till date. If you're looking for a stealth-based post-apocalyptic game that you will have you at the edge of your seat throughout the entirety of the game, look no further!     It isn't perfect, maybe due to a limited budget or something. The main story is such an absurd (in comparison to the same story in the original books). But if you leave the beginning behind, there is a great level of immersion, that makes you feel very real in this world. This and RTX makes it an amazing game to try and to fight through.

    Beautiful .ya jugue en su dia metro exodus pero seamos sinceros, fue un buen juego pero estaba muy bugeado y con muchos fallos de optimizacion, por suerte esta version "gratuita" lo soluciona y aumenta los graficos para k sean o parezcan de nueva generacion, y lo consigue eso si sacrifica muchos detalles del original y tambien algunas cosas del entorno pero eso hace ak a la hora deBeautiful .ya jugue en su dia metro exodus pero seamos sinceros, fue un buen juego pero estaba muy bugeado y con muchos fallos de optimizacion, por suerte esta version "gratuita" lo soluciona y aumenta los graficos para k sean o parezcan de nueva generacion, y lo consigue eso si sacrifica muchos detalles del original y tambien algunas cosas del entorno pero eso hace ak a la hora de optimizarlo sea mas facil y mejor, en conclusion y titulo fantastico q ahora si se puede disfrutar al 100% sin bugs ni lagazos ni craseos, y asi es como devio salir a la venta.… Expand

    An Extraordinary Game!!!

    I had played the OG Metro Exodus and its expansions back in early 2020 and was blown away by how much fun and immersive it was. I had clocked in over 35 hours back on my first run and Just When I Thought I Was done with the game, they Pull Me Back In with the Enhanced Edition:) Let me cut to the chase and start with the pros and cons. I had clocked in over 35 hours back on my first run and Just When I Thought I Was done with the game, they Pull Me Back In with the Enhanced Edition:) Let me cut to the chase and start with the pros and cons.
    The Pros:
    The gorgeous graphics of course. The game at times looks like a Disney big budget animated movie. I almost forgot i was playing a video game on many occasions which is a rare for me since i am older gamer and have played them all. It really made me feel that i was living in the Metro world. The high quality textures, real-time ray tracing with global illumination sells this world being a real place. I am now gald to have puchaded rtx 2060 laptop because this game does it justice more then any other game till date. The real time reflection, the way sun and all other light sources bounce of each other and creates this true next gen visual showcase is mesmerizing. Can we also talk about how incredible the game performance with DLSS 2.0. All settings cranked up to Ultra, DLSS set to quality i was getting an average of 50 FPS on my rtx 2060. Outstanding!

    I am sucker for playing a game at your own pace which this game nails perfectly. Its not too punishing which is nice and when i die its mostly my own fault. The crafting system works like a charm and that moment i am able to make ammo, medkit or mask filters at the nick of time or when i am just about to die is just exhilarating. I was getting serious Half life vibes while playing this game which is a rare thing today since most mainstream games tend to either follow the trend of looter shooter genre or live service.

    Sound: The creature sound in the distant, the NPC's voice acting and the way they sound depending on where they are speaking such their voice would echo when on a closed room and would sound muffled on a moving train is just brilliant. The music is also very subtle and the timing of it is perfect. Some of the best game soundtracks in a video game period. I still have it saved on my playlist and would listen regularly. Its that good.

    Story and writing in this game is also pretty good. I was not sure how they could top the story of Metro Last Light but somehow they did it. Its a story of hope, love, redemption and sacrifice and its written perfectly here.

    Cons: The game did crash on me multiple times either after the opening intro or while playing the game. Thankfully, this game has quicksave feature so i did not have replay the whole level after restarting the game. But, this was annoying. I did install the latest Nvidia graphics drivers and it eventually reduced the crashes.

    This is a minor nitpick but i wanted this game to be longer just because it was too damn good.

    Conclusion: It really shows that the developers who made it and publishers who backed this game are very passionate and wanted to do justice to the source material. This game made me feels things that i had not felt since playing the OG Half Life. Plus its a complete bang for the buck where the publishers are not ask for a single dime for EE which again shows that these are people with integrity and not going after a cash grab like many western publishers tend to do. I cannot stop praising this game. A must play for sure !!!    … Expand

    Not my favorite Metro but definitely a big upgrade from the first release of the game. If you loved the story and the improved gameplay, you'll love it even more with this great implementation of ray tracing.
    Metro Exodus is my least favorite game of the three but I recently finished the game a second time just because of how good it looks.     Beautiful looking game that lacks enemy variety and a good ending. It leaves an empty feeling after completion, like there was supposed to be more - 22h is just not enough, and I know the world is semi-open but there isn't much room for exploration. But the real reason to buy is definitely the PS5 controller support on PC if you don't have a PS5 and want to experience the magic for yourself.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I'm not gonna lie, I walked in with somewhat high expectations for this one and, well, they somewhat met the reality! Let me point out what, IMO, the game has against itself. Some characters are too "basic" with their lines, they pretty much always say something you're expecting them to say, or do something you were expecting them to do. Good characters but it was kind of a slow part of the game. On another note, the whole story behind the game wasn't as strong as the other two games. 2033 and Last Light blew your mind with everything going on behind it, this one was more layed back in that department. Not trying to throw shade at the game but it all went around two main objectives, find a place to live besides the Metro, and then find a cure for Anna's disease. Those are not bad objectives, but I've spent 20H on them and well, it gets to a point where you're only playing for the fun of it, not caring much for whats going on in the background. The ending wasn't as bad as a friend of mine said it was IMO, pretty basic but it was alright + cancels the chance of getting another one, that way it wont ruin the story. Now, besides that, the game was TONS of fun. Love running around doing stupid secondary missions like getting a teddy bear or a guitar, a lot of the stealth parts of exploring the map were pretty cool, a lot of diversity when it came to the map and you felt like you had a lot to do in the game all the time! The train idea was pretty good too! Gave a lot of dynamic to the whole gameplay through the game. Overall and to sum it up, even tho again, the story was nothing that special, the game had a lot going for itself: the open world style gameplay, variety of enemies, the train dynamic, different and really fun side missions, and a whole lot of fun added to it! I do believe they made this one not for the story (I dont think the Metro series needed this much added to its story), but to give an end to Artyom and the crews struggles (specialy Artyoms and Annas), and to just show off graphics and well, what the team could do which isn't bad, just not something you should go into for the story, but for everything around it! A defenitive must play if you liked the previous games, just, dont go into it thinking it's going to be a TLOU type of game, more like a Metro v. Dying Light type of game! :D

    Now, for the DLC it goes like this. The Two Colonels DLC was alright, didn't had much going for it tho. It adds a background to Kirill's dad in a reeeeally short story (went through it in about two hours). I dont feel like it is worth buying as it is, but if you find a good price or if you buy the Exodus Gold Edition or whatever it's called, then yes it is worth it and a fun little DLC! Sam's Story tho, thats another ball game. On it's around 6 hour campaign, IMO, this DLC is a short version of everything good the main Exodus game had going for itself, without a lot of the bad stuff I pointed out before. This time you can really connect with the characters, feel for them, not a lot of cringy/unnecessary lines or actions, the story still doesnt have a lot to do with the previous games but it doesnt feel blend like the main game, it feels amazing! Only bad thing I can say about it is that it doesnt FEEL like it has as much exploration room as the main game, even tho it really does! You just dont feel it as much because the story grips you more too it I think. Besides that, we have rich characters, a short but fun and wholesome storyline, an amazing plot, pretty fun side missions story, new weapons (IMO the best weapon in the game is in it, that Stallion, oof), and just a great time all around! The map is really dope too! Its just one area and not as big as the main game ones but it doesmt have to be! It feels about right. The DLC doesnt feel too big, too small, too rich, too poor, too exciting, too boring, its as close to perfection as any Metro experience has felt to this day IMO! 100% recommend to Metro fans and to action/adventure FPS fans in general, what an amazing little game this was!    … Expand

    This game is literally a work of art, I love it. The main plot and the additional content keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end, every second of gameplay gives you a worthy challenge, and you don't have to replay locations dozens of times because of one NPC.

    Dark One Lives Matter.

    Extremely immersive, a great story, and fun game. I recommend you play Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light Redux before playing Exodus. Ranger Hardcore mode, in my opinion, is how this game should be played.

    For anyone who missed Metro: Exodus in its original release and can scale the graphics card barrier to entry, the Enhanced Edition is definitely a must-buy. Thankfully players without the requisite gear can still enjoy the game’s other, less major, improvements and fixes too.

    Metro Exodus was already a graphic yardstick in its basic version, but this new edition manages to raise the bar even higher. This progress is mainly due to a more advanced integration of ray tracing, which brings in particular an extremely realistic light.
