    Good old-fashioned crash-bang rally racing...Steel Monkeys' first serious racer is the first game since which really does the arcade rallying genre justice.

    An off-road arcade rally game with little substance and a rather slim budget to boot. The result is a mediocre, at times entertaining arcade rally game with at times outrageous vehicle handling, a few flashy visual features, and a whole lot of repetitiveness.

    If you knew this game as a child; big chances that it must be one of the best games you've played. The menu is getting slow with time andIf you knew this game as a child; big chances that it must be one of the best games you've played. The menu is getting slow with time and landscapes are sometimes a bit empty, but what else ? Pure fun and a lot of challenge. The vehicules have a lot of personnality, the sounds while not being realistics make you feel emotions, wanting to push more and more to reach top speed. Musics are cool. Very great game that deserved far more recognition. From a PC experience.… Expand

Not the most assessable for most games. I always liked this game back when I first played in 2002. 20 years later it remains the same. I think I enjoy it more now. Gameplay is fun and the games presentation has a charm. It has its own look and feel. The music complements and creates a nice vibe, it’s fitting. I will defiantly be coming back to play it again, and do recommend you try it.… Expand

The stages are created using an open world map, which unfortunately it's impossible to navigate on your own, but they always are very different in looks and lenght. Often the stages use the same section but then, thanks to the open world design, take a very different direction. The cars are good too, they feel different and can be unlocked just by progressing in the game. Challenge mode is very good because it's the most difficult one where you often have to beat cars of a faster class. The damage model is weird, the visual damage is... funny. On some stages you can take shortcuts for 40s advantage without any penalty. The graphics are ok for a game this old.… Expand
