    I made a list in my head of my favorite RPG:s of all time and I think Mass Effect 2 is my number one out of all games i've played with a close Divinity Original Sin 2.
    So I cannot give it anything else than a 10.

    Лучшая игра студии, великая опера, игра детства.Сколько я ее проходил и не сосчитать! Каждый персонаж , каждая миссия, каждый диалог и планета сделаны с любовью и трепетом. Это великая игра, которую каждый обязан пройти. Вселенная которую создали Bioware - это монументальное произведение:жнецы, ретрансляторы, древние расы, Левиафаны ,это все очень ооооочень интересно .Лучшая игра студии, великая опера, игра детства.Сколько я ее проходил и не сосчитать! Каждый персонаж , каждая миссия, каждый диалог и планета сделаны с любовью и трепетом. Это великая игра, которую каждый обязан пройти.     Played at 2021, this game still rocks. I now understand what people were talking about. Didn't like the ME1 tho. Now ME3 and further journey await.

    NO SPOILERS INCLUDED: With Mass Effect 1, you were given an introduction to a universe that felt real, and the fact that BioWare spent so much time and resources toward building the universe was an approach I appreciated. However, with Mass Effect 2, BioWare had partnered up with EA, therefore increasing their budget for Mass Effect 2 exponentially. The writing is still solid as ever, andNO SPOILERS INCLUDED: With Mass Effect 1, you were given an introduction to a universe that felt real, and the fact that BioWare spent so much time and resources toward building the universe was an approach I appreciated. However, with Mass Effect 2, BioWare had partnered up with EA, therefore increasing their budget for Mass Effect 2 exponentially. The writing is still solid as ever, and every major problem with Mass Effect 1 was fixed and drastically improved with Mass Effect 2, especially the dialogue, combat, and difficulty spikes. Where in Mass Effect 1, it feels as if conversation are too forced or stale, nearly every conversation in the sequel feels natural and well done. Where in Mass Effect 1, the combat was ridiculously broken in many different ways, the sequel's combat both diversifies itself far more and expands upon previous foundations. The one complaint is the introduction of thermal clips, but since this introduction also means you can no longer pick and pop out of cover like you'd do in Mass Effect 1, I eventually welcomed the change. Where in Mass Effect 1, the only way you'd challenge yourself is on Insanity, which you have to unlock by beating the campaign at least once, the sequel is far more challenging thanks to a weaker shields system, more enemies, more enemy variety, and several different strengths and weaknesses to every part of the combat which can be exploited by both you and the AI, who are significantly smarter in the sequel than they were in Mass Effect 1. Where Mass Effect 1 is begging for a remaster in it's current 13 year old state, Mass Effect 2's art and graphics still look so good, you could make the case that it doesn't need a remaster and won't need one for another 10 years. Well done, BioWare. Well done. This is your masterpiece as a game developer. Take pride in that, because that's good company to be in, what not with KOTOR, Dragon Age, and Baldur's Gate also being developed by BioWare.… Expand

    I think I wasn't prepared for a sequel as good as this game. If you enjoyed the first game, the sequel will amaze you even more.

    A great answer to the over-saturation of space sci-fi atmosphere created by Star Wars. A truly superb space opera with an outstanding script that I plan to return to with the re-release of the entire trilogy.

    Fantastic game. This is the action packed chapter of the trilogy, however it is not only that. Here you will be introduced to another group of characters, but you will still have comeback from the first chapter. The relationships are deepened, there are loyalty missions that give you a deeper understanding of the characters and what they went through. The conversations are more eye openingFantastic game. The relationships are deepened, there are loyalty missions that give you a deeper understanding of the characters and what they went through. The conversations are more eye opening and frequent (aka more dialogue to unlock). The cinematography is just fantastic, even the "less appropriate" shots, if you are actually paying attention, are luring immersing us into the game wanting us to please and help the character even if the motives might not be as "paragon like", but personally from my playthroughs, leaves the imagination flow on your character build. The combat is quite the stop up from the first chapter. We start with a great opening (even though I would have worked in some more credible "excuses") and a fantastic final battle, where BioWare fulfills the promise of "your choices matter". However, the mechanics do change, like shooting with R1 instead of R2 stuff, and makes it confusing (even after release, just because the review is dated 2021 doesn't mean I haven't played it before now), since R2 tends to be the designated trigger command. The story doesn't have much juice, BUT I do view the trilogy as a whole, so I do view this as more of a get to know these characters more and there is more build up to the whole of the story, however it does fall on that front. it seems like what happened in the first game takes a back seat, it adds on for sure, but sort of takes away from what we lived with the characters before then just cause it is a "new chapter" and you are presented with a whole new crew which gives it that introductory feel that the first games in a trilogy usually does. HOWEVER I can forgive it cause... well... the beginning of the game sort of gives you a knew beginning wink wink... The final mission is mind blowing, YOUR DECISIONS MATTER, even though the final boss fight, if you are not on hardcore mode, may not seem hard. This is a great game for those who like action movies for sure; it is highly enjoyable, a game you will be wanting to play over and over to get a favourable outcome and will blow your mind. However make sure to get the DLC as well! You must! A great second chapter.… Expand

    I think this may be the only game I can give a 10/10 without any doubts. Major improvement over the first one, combat and gameplay is much better, great side quests, characters, dialogues, nailed the approach with team building and atmosphere, still looks good with mods and scales well to 4k. Peak of the series for me and probably my top 1 game of all time, even beats titles like WitcherI think this may be the only game I can give a 10/10 without any doubts.     Worthy continuation of the series. I'm glad they removed the vehicle because it was annoying in ME1, but I liked the planetary exploration so the new probe thing didn't worked for me that well.

    A fabulous sequel, the amount of epicness exceeds the number one, the characters are well-sketched, so I had no problem remembering them and I never confused them. All in all, this is one of the better games that puts out the myth that sequels are always definitely worse than the first installment, because I dare say that this game comes out a lot better than ME1.

    mass effect 2 is probably the best fps / rpg combination out there. excellent characters and story, quests and side quests, atmosphere and cutscenes. as an fps is sound with plenty of weapon choices and fine physics. excellent graphics and sound. it is more compelling at higher levels of difficulty, with greater challenge to play the game at highest difficulty without the use of dlcmass effect 2 is probably the best fps / rpg combination out there. excellent characters and story, quests and side quests, atmosphere and cutscenes. as an fps is sound with plenty of weapon choices and fine physics. excellent graphics and sound. it is more compelling at higher levels of difficulty, with greater challenge to play the game at highest difficulty without the use of dlc weapons

    Mass Effect 2 delivers a story that's deeper than what many novelists are capable of, and its action is better than what most Hollywood directors are creating nowadays. It's an addictive, engrossing experience that many gamers will replay over and over while they hold their breath waiting for the third game.

    A brilliant mix of shooter and role-playing, filled with great characters, excellent design, lots of action and clever dialogue. It's a shame though that Bioware did not improve the inventory and skill system of the first game, but actually reduced it even more. I really wished there were more customization options, more ways to develop and gear up my characters. But all these are merely small points of criticism, since there is so much to feel and experience in this game. Mass Effect 2 is a thrilling, emotional ride and ultimately every bit as good as its predecessor.
