With beautiful visuals, an epic soundtrack and an exciting world with interesting characters, this hardcore Touhou Project inspired shmup is well worth your time. While the multiplayer mode lacks significant depth, the story mode alone is enough to recommend Maiden & Spell to fans of the genre.

Super addictive, top notch community in the discord, and tons of polish. Any fan of Touhou or Bullet Hells should pick up this game.

The most beautiful bullet hell I've ever played. You'll have to try hard not be in complete awe at how everything looks on screen becauseThe most beautiful bullet hell I've ever played. You'll have to try hard not be in complete awe at how everything looks on screen because you'll be focusing on dodging everything. The hand drawn art scales beautifully. The overall aesthetic is super polished and clean.

The online PvP is near flawless even at 300+ ping. The controls are tight and responsive.

There are 8 different characters who all have their own solid identity and unique moveset. They all feel fun to play in their own way. My favorite being Dreadwyrm Heir with her giant lasers and novas.

The sound effects are a little weak in a few places but more importantly they don't detract from the game.

Music is soothing yet intense. It's a mix of some classical and electronic instruments and sounds very pretty. It matches the aesthetic really well.

    Definitely worth the price!
