  • Summary: On the morning of what should have been her first year of high school, Emma wakes up to find herself in a dimly lit cage. Confused and locked in a cell on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean, without any knowledge of the incident, an owl tells her,

    "You are a danger to this world -- you have been identified as a possible 'witch.' You will spend the rest of your life here as a prisoner."

    The everyday life she had taken for granted was shattered. During her time as a prisoner, Emma gets to know other girls who are also potential witches, but one day, the owl gathers the prisoner girls together and declares,

    "We will hold a witch trial." This marks the start of an extremely cruel game in which one by one of the 13 girls is chosen as a 'witch' -- in other words, a target for execution .
