    I'd wrather have testicle cancer than play this hit garbage game. Ea doesn't make a game of quality they make a bad game look better but play worse. If you want a good game play the show because it's the only good game they have until the glitches start then it's no fun. EA is a pile of dog **** and will always be a pile of dog ****

    I'm glad it wasn't just me, a 10th Gen i7, 8 gig RTX 3070, 32 gigs ram and couldn't get 50 fps? I haven't played a new Madden since 12 I saw this on Xbox game pass so I thought I'd have fun with the Face of the Franchise mode, not only does it set you up to lose, starting you out with 2 min in the 4th qtr losing by 8, but then it won't snap the ball.     This game has an ungodly amount of issues for a triple A title. You don't even have to talk about the fundamentals of the game before being able to write an essay on the performance issues and bugs. EA should never be allowed to ever develop video games.

    I got this game for free (it's free to play right now), played it for about 4 minutes, and uninstalled.

    Words cannot express how terribly, awfully, horribly bad this game is.

    The controls are absolute garbage.

    The game lacks any type of vision or artistic merit.

    What the hell?! This is totally a lazy rehack of the last 2 years? 3 years? I'm seeing banners of the New Orleans Bills and Philadelphia Cowboys as well as seeing banners for Madden 21 in the background. What an absolute joke of a football game. I'm done buying this garbage, FINALLY, until they fix this **** 0 is a fair score

    When you want to play a game with your favorite athletes on it then when you get in the game and your favorite athletes look worst than what they should. I mean the Miami Dolphins players look nothing like they do in real life. Not even close

    Performance issues had my RTX 3080 chugging and I had to disable in-game V-Sync just to hit 60fps most of the time. There are moments in the story-mode where, after selecting a dialogue option, the voice clip and subtitles will each reflect different dialogue choices. Yeah, it’s that bad.     If you're looking to purchase Madden 22, I would suggest just finding another sports game to play to fill that void. I recommened NCAA Football Revamped or just any of the old NCAA games at this point.

Movement is still clunky, the CPU is horrendous, and the amount of uncalled penalties is absurd. Madden is soley survivng off nostalgia at this point, other than that I feel no reasons to buy these games anymore. Please if you haven't bought Madden 22 already then just don't.

    Madden 23, when it comes out it might just be the same things as everything else in the last 10 years EA has put out for the seris, a complete and utter waste of time, money and resources. EA has done nothing to push this franchise any further but instead just gives us stupid gimmicks as stat+ or whatever its called. Somehow on consoles and computers that give us Witcher 3, Dark souls 3, Breathe of the Wild, GTA 5, DOOM, and Final Fantasy, we in Madden can't even get referees on the field or a actual half-time show in the game.

    Please just stop buying this franchise, hopefully it will die and some other company can buy the NFL contract off of Ea and try to make a borderline okay triple a football game.    … Expand

    Graphics: 6/10. It's not terrible but I expect better from a company like EA. Gameplay: 1/10. Very minimal improvements from the past few years but still a buggy mess and not that enjoyable.     Feels like same game. Minor imporvements to some aspects from 21, but actually removed some features. The new scouting feature sucks, and theres been bugs since day 1 they still havent fixed :/

    EA have made the strongest argument in favor piracy to try before you buy with this pile of hot garbage. Madden 22 is another low effort release from a company that has a far too comfortable monopoly on the franchise and knows fans will pay for any old crap in the absence of any competition.

    The PC release is nothing more than a mod on Madden 21. There's none of the new features or even    EA have made the strongest argument in favor piracy to try before you buy with this pile of hot garbage. Madden 22 is another low effort release from a company that has a far too comfortable monopoly on the franchise and knows fans will pay for any old crap in the absence of any competition.

    The PC release is nothing more than a mod on Madden 21. There's none of the new features or even visual improvements advertised - these are all reserved for next gen consoles. The idea that only next gen consoles can handle the advanced features is laughable and frankly, just plain lazy. The only thing PC shares with next gen consoles is a ridiculous amount of bugs.

    Absolute worst game I have ever played, I was kicked out to the menu, and now my controls have been remapped, and there is no way to remap them. When loading into the game it thinks that there are two controllers connected when there is only one, this glitch combined with the remapped controls makes the game literally unplayable. Do not buy this game.

    Another year another raging tire fire of a football game is trotted out by EA for 60+ dollars. Glitch galore, zero improvements, on field animations has taken a step back and franchises "improvements" are lack luster at best. But good news is MUT is still shoved down your throat at every chance.

    I have been playing Madden since Madden 92. It is extremely disappointing to see the state that this game is in now. you expect anything to get better with time, but not Madden. I have had every copy of Madden since Madden 92. My recent purchases of Madden was simply because it's the only "simulation" football game available. It got to the point that I couldn't take it anymore, so II have been playing Madden since Madden 92. This game is so broken, it's not fun anymore. they take old features from older Madden and put it in the game like it's a new feature. They are stealing the NHL and NCAA features and putting it in Madden. This is so sad, the glitches have become the norm and they claim that an update is coming in September for the new scouting in franchise mode. Given EA's track record, I don't trust them. I wish the NFL would do something about this, Let 2K get back in the football business.… Expand

    This has got to be rock bottom for the Madden franchise. I hoped and hoped after madden 20 that, that release would be the worst and it would get better. instead it has been reshipped again and again, worse and worse each time. I really dont understand how you can execute so poorly

I got the game on PC, and I have looked up this issue many, MANY, times and haven't gotten an answer. I have the same exact HUD from Madden 21 while in-game.     Wait. I just looked at a review. The PC version is... not next gen? You're telling me my 2070S with an i9 isn't up-to-par with a PS5? Jesus. I just got scammed. The Origin store page didn't even tell me I wasn't getting the full version.

    Anyways, running in this game is so dependent on animations I had Joe Mixon get 'tackled' after a yard, but rode animations forward for about 15 until he 'broke free' and ran it for a touchdown.

    Still the annoying jumping animations that cut routes short, stop momentum, and kills plays. I'll have a wide open drag route being run and the receiver will jump forward 10 yards for a -5 yard gain.

    The AI thinks it knows more than me. I had a receiver catch two balls, then was taken out via auto subs for a quarter in a half. When I try to sub him back in, I can't. Won't let me.

    Franchise Mode isn't different. its not. Its just more visually appealing. Scouting is the same (heard there is an update coming but since I'm on PC I don't think I get it), and you have coaching trees instead of boxes. All they did was take those traits and made them into a tree, added a currency, and took some traits and put them onto the coordinators.

    If I could, I'd refund. I can't. Origin only allows refunds after 24hrs, which isn't very smart or fair because it took me 9hrs and 48 hours from first launch to properly get a feel for this game. Its awful. Animations and scripting ruin this game. Here's my favorite story.

    Joe Burrow with a clean pocket, launching a pass to Ja'Marr Chase who is open down the middle, is put into 'under pressure' but still throws a dart to Chase which adjusts his body, puts his hands on the ball, but the corner 5 yards behind him teleports, takes the ball from his hands, and runs away. Game over.

    I bet money if you check the code on this game, its 5+ years old.

    Avoid it like the plague, especially if you're on PC. Its quite literally a scam for us PC players.    … Expand

    Madden 22 takes some leaps in certain modes such as Franchise, but takes some gigantic steps backward or maintains inconsistent levels of gameplay in others. While Face of the Franchise loses much of its “underdog story” vibe, Franchise has taken steps forward, while for every MUT improvement, there’s a new on-the-field annoyance. Another year stuck in place, then, but there’s still fun to be had for those looking to score plenty of in-game touchdowns – just don’t expect any huge yardage gains for the franchise as a whole here.

    If we have to compare Madden NFL 22 to one of the two quarterbacks on its cover, the latter is more Tom Brady than Patrick Mahomes: he becomes thinner and more complete over time, but still idles like his last years. The game is running out of steam from a technical point of view, and the difference between the next-gen and the PS4 / ONE versions is not so obvious on the visual, especially as the online and solo bugs are still also common. On the other hand, Madden does not fall into the trap that made Opus 21 a failure, namely to give a second youth to Franchise and Career modes via cool additions (Momentums, coaching staff talent tree ... ). For the rest, we will wait for the real "slap" episode that the new generation of consoles deserves in the years to come.
