    so far this is good game, miles times better than the boring medium: great voice acting for the lead, interesting world, good serviceable graphics, great art direction-H.R. Giger inspired- story, gameplay, clever use of mask all ok. the gimmick here is XXX + Lovecraft story, just one gripe... allow me to pick up weapons! i know this is not condemned criminal origins butso far this is good game, miles times better than the boring medium: great voice acting for the lead, interesting world, good serviceable graphics, great art direction-H.R.     Lustfrom beyond is an 11 hours first person adventure game where you play as Victor, a doctor is really interested in meeting you cause you seem to be a little too aggressive at sex.
    This game is weird, its about sex cults and sex gods, you go around different areas finding items for puzzles.. all pretty straightforward s its never chicken running around with its head    Lust From Beyond
    Lustfrom beyond is an 11 hours first person adventure game where you play as Victor, a doctor is really interested in meeting you cause you seem to be a little too aggressive at sex.
    This game is weird, its about sex cults and sex gods, you go around different areas finding items for puzzles.. all pretty straightforward s its never chicken running around with its head off gameplay… and it is weirdly interesting, I was pulled through all 11 hours of this game, wondering where its going, wondering, what werid sex quick time event im going to be thrown into.. after the start of running around this little town, things start to get super repetitive… the game takes place primarily in 3 different locations, a mansion, a creepy sex theater, and a weird sex hell vagina place… the mansion was the most enjoyable of the 3, but it was appreciated that I was thrown between all 3 to mix the gameplay up a bit… I just wish there were more cinematic set pieces to have me excited to see what the game has in store next… like it did in the beginning.. but it kind of just gets really repetitive and I felt eventually like I was chasing the credits rather than the next part of the story… overally though lust from behind is mostly brought down with its combat, its stiff and awkard and to make matters worse, the health and sanity system here in this survival horror game are awful… youre not only dealing with horrible luck based combat, but you can get stuck in death loops especially when your sanity is deplearted… your controls will constantly change while youe trying to run around and out smart an enemy, up will be down, left will be right, and then it switched back to normal, and then switches to reverse.. no warning… id venture to say that 1 of the 11 hours playing was spent trying to break the game so that I could progress forward.. I was stuck in a death loop and with a game where health and sanity isn’t automatically restored or replenished with death… you have to find health pickupsand worse is theyre ,mostly locked in chests.. theyre as hard to get a hold of and find as you would expect a typical collectable in any other game… something like this is frustrating.. it isn’t clever, it isn’t challenging.. it can be potentially game breaking for those not used to looking for ways to break a game and progress..
    Lust from beyond is different.. its weird.. its full of nudity.. and I kinda liked it…
    it has its moments that are frustrating, repetitive, and just overally annoying and a drag to get through, but this is a unique and impressive experience for what it ultimately is..
    There is so much detail and care put into building this game.. again – mostly… the combat and survival horror aspects re awful, but as an overall package, pun not intended.. lust from beyond is polished and unique enough to deserve your attention…

    Having gone through a rather bumpy development cycle, "Lust from Beyond" is the second full game trying to mix up Lovecraftian Horror, Giger-esque artstyle and supposed erotica. It certainly has high ambitions, and 5 seconds into the game you are confronted with the sad reality that they were probably way too high.

    It really goes out of it's way to make a bad first impression: You    Having gone through a rather bumpy development cycle, "Lust from Beyond" is the second full game trying to mix up Lovecraftian Horror, Giger-esque artstyle and supposed erotica. It certainly has high ambitions, and 5 seconds into the game you are confronted with the sad reality that they were probably way too high.

    It really goes out of it's way to make a bad first impression: You start out playing a female character using an obviously male model. You can already see that the game is unoptimized and unpolished. Controls and camera are wonky, and while the aesthetics are on point and the audio fits the scenario, the sound is often out of sync, the effects suffer from stuttering and framerate drops, and Ive heard better voice acting in mods.

    Depending on the level turning the camera slows down performance no matter how low you adjust your settings, which is a shame. Given the size of the maps and the last-gen specs this was not only avoidable, but is a shame since the overall aesthetics are quite good. The same can't be said about pretty much all of the dialogue, which is wooden, generic and full of mythological babble, and having it read out by the voice actors like they recorded the first rehearsal doesn't help.

    There are some easy, but rather entertaining puzzles full of video game logic; while the solution is always quite obvious, the reasons why there was a puzzle in the first place aren't. You will spend a lot of time searching for keys or substitutes for keys, but the doors they open often have nothing behind them.

    You also won't have to go through more than the first chapter to have an idea what the main selling point looks like, the nudity. Unlike in "Lust for darkness" they were certainly a lot less shy about it, and there is an abundance of genitalia and some borderline hardcore scenes in the first 15 minutes. Since none of the models have actual facial animations and stare at you with blank eyes while reading out the script, this is unfortunately also the low point of an already subpar experience.

    Given the horror theme it's already not exactly stimulating, but the developers decided to throw in some actual sexual violence that, even though it's just as unconvincing as the rest of the robotic animations, deserves a trigger warning. Female sexuality is defined early on as something that is given out in exchange for presents, at least in the "real world", and similar tone-deaf writing sticks out like a sore thumb all over the game.

    The plot is, surprisingly enough, halfway decent, even though I might have just lowered my standards to the point where I could get through the whole thing. There is a lot of tropes and cringe, and there isn't a single thing in here that made me feel like I'm not just aggressively killing my time. It was remarkable for all the wrong reasons, and I wish I would have realized that before the time for a refund was up.

    So take a good look at the time you spent in this game. The first two hours are absolutely representative of the quality and mechanics. If you don't like what you see there, it won't get better.    … Expand

    this game is just awful. From graphics and sound to gameplay. Pros story even nothing to say. When The main character is dumb as a cork, then you will not be afraid of anything. The other world is disgustingly made. I don't understand what they were trying to show at all. Like a terrible hell or what? And of course the downloads. Every 5 minutes of the game downloads, downloads. In short,this game is just awful. From graphics and sound to gameplay. Pros story even nothing to say.     Lust from beyond has some good stories elements. At least, it doesn't fall into an easy adult flick. But the levels are simple. The CGI models feels outdated. And I am unsure if the game doesn't have some problems, because after some 2 hours of gaming, the game never restarted the main screen ever again (black sreen). I give it 48% for the brief time I got to play it.

    *STORY*: The player takes the role of Victor Holloway, an antiquarian tormented by visions of a sinister land full of lasciviousness and pain: Lusst'ghaa. Despite this, he tries to lead a normal life with his fiancée Lily.

    Much better than the plot of the first installment. It's much more interesting, doesn't get heavy and has a good timing.

    **4/5 stars**

    *GAMEPLAY*: It takes the basis of Walking Simulator and adds a clunky combat system. Whether it's clunky or not on purpose doesn't matter, you get more immersion naturally.

    *GRAPHICS*: Very good and very bad, let me explain. There are elements that are made in a perfect way, but others such as the modeling of characters or various objects do not measure up.

    *SOUND*: Great improvement over the original. The musical pieces are still scarce, but they are much better implemented, as well as the ambient sound.
    The dubbing is also better achieved, although it is just average.

    *INNOVATION*: Lust from Beyond is a great improvement over the original, consolidating the 'Lustverse' and bringing new elements and lore to this universe.    … Expand

    The alternate world, lustghaa or whatever you call it, looks amazing, but in terms of gameplay, the Lustghaa segments are boring and just boil down to a bunch of walking around and putting keys in doors to progress. There are enemies in these areas, but they're so pathetic that you can just ignore    The visuals, atmosphere and puzzles are pretty good. The plot and gameplay are pretty bad.

    cant believe that there is not way to restart chapter in a game from 2021 just mind boggling, no proper save system either only autosave! if you want to play a different path you have to restart the entire game!

    You literally walk around in a loftcraftian sex cult. What is not to love about that. That game is seriously disturbing and I freaking love it. The ending was amazing. I wish I could replay it without knowing anything.

    Sex and Lovecraft, who needs more? The idea is so interesting and full of possibilities... it's a shame that the characters, like in Lust for Darknenss, are a bit one-dimensional, and the narrative is weaker than it should be (although it has some good moments).

    Just a piece of advice: this is a narrative-driven game, so, before playing this, play Lust for Darkness and then both "stand    Sex and Lovecraft, who needs more? The idea is so interesting and full of possibilities... it's a shame that the characters, like in Lust for Darknenss, are a bit one-dimensional, and the narrative is weaker than it should be (although it has some good moments).

    Just a piece of advice: this is a narrative-driven game, so, before playing this, play Lust for Darkness and then both "stand alone introductions" Scarlet and Lust from Beyond: Prologue.    … Expand

    The developers have made a huge step forward since their previous work, Lust for Darkness, and delivered an ambitious game that is better in every aspect. There’s still plenty of room for improvement, but engaging story and disturbing atmosphere make Lust from Beyond worth your time. If you can stomach an erotic horror with some twisted imagery, that is. [05/2021, p.42]

    Lust from Beyond tells a thoughtful, albeit unapologetically disturbing, story. Its puzzles won’t leave you stumped for long, its action and stealth aren’t particularly engaging, and a number of technical issues are sure to cause frustration, but if you have a strong stomach for this particular brand of erotic horror, the excellent world-building and grotesque imagery will reward those who see it through.
