I don't know if this game had low budget or just wrong idea what to do.
    You CAN:
    - open every drawer - walk - pick up relevant objects - admire stiff, modeled boobs by young male modeler with great personality. You CAN'T: - play a game - hide and seek with monsters (like amnesia) - play with the lightning - solve side quests . . . This isn't even a true game, more like idea

This isn't even a true game, more like idea to make money on telling people it's some kind of eyes wide shut related game. It's cheap and cheesy. I feel bad for playing this crap. I needed a shower after 2h of this game. Yes, 2h because you will finish it after 2h. It's bad, really. Watch on yt but don't buy!

50 Shades of Disturbing. Lust for Darkness is a unique experience, filled with vanilla sex, BDSM, and straight up Necrophilia. With decent visuals, brilliant level design and sound, this is worth checking out if you're a horror genre or you're just a bit kinky.

Mal juego, malos gráficos, especialmente en los humanos, argumento estúpido, aburrido, les recomiendo Amnesia, un juego más viejo, pero que es mil veces superior a este engendro.

It's better than 5/10, but definitely has some not so great moments. I had a fun time, I'm going to rate it 7/10. You could spend some money on this gem, but don't get me wrong, wait for a sale or something.

It's a dry mess. The ideas are good, but the execution is awful. By the time I finished the game, I wasn't asking any questions, just relieved it was just over. This game sucks. The voice acting isn't that good, or inspired, and the gameplay is barebones to the core.

Great visuals (except for the human models) and quite captivating gameplay, but lack of immersive storyline. Absolutely cliche ending and whole gameplay for around 2-3 hours (I'm not counting collectibles). It's not so scary for a horror game. But as a first game of that studio - it's a good start, I'm waiting for more.

Lust for Darkness has a great atmosphere and some great lore but it doesn’t seem to know what to do with it. It created this wonderful backstory with an interesting alternate universe and a cult trying to access it but it fails to explore either in much detail. You don’t get to figure out what the origins of the cult are; why they want to find Lusst’ghaa; or just what the beings on the other side are or their motivations. Maybe I’m trying to dig too deep into this but I feel there was a lot of uncovered potential. What I was left with was a game about a man whose wife went missing; no idea the circumstances of that; and he is just blindly trying to get his wife back without asking any questions. The puzzles in the game are not overly difficult but border on annoying at times. They also feel a bit out of place and kind of just there to add some actual gameplay to an otherwise story driven game. There is a stealth section that was a tad annoying as I hate stealth. There was also enemies that you have to run from that can one hit kill you and you can’t fight back against which is another pet peeve of mine. The opening of doors was also annoying as you have to pull or push with the mouse kind of like in the Amnesia games. I didn’t like it then any more than I do now. The graphics were above average for the most part. The world detail such as shelves; doors; furniture; buildings; objects; etc were great. The detail on bodies was also great. Faces and clothing were a little sub par. The voice acting was pretty weak. The main character almost seemed like he was going for a Bruce Campbell vibe except he isn’t Bruce Campbell and this isn’t Evil Dead. His wife was a little better but still wasn’t anything more than decent. There wasn’t much music in the game but the end credits music was a good choice.

I played Lust for Darkness on Linux using Proton. It never crashed on me and I didn’t notice any bugs. The game auto saves at various points and has only the one save slot. Alt-Tab works. There is 1 AA setting; 1 AF setting; 3 SSAO settings; and 3 other graphic options. The game generally ran from 74-144 FPS but could dip down to 29-56 FPS at times almost randomly. It isn’t a fast paced game so the lag wasn’t very noticeable when it did.

    Disk Space Used: 14.62 GB
    VRAM Used: 3512-5577 MB
    CPU Usage: 40-65 %
    RAM Usage: 3.7-4.4 GB
    Frame Rate: 29-144 FPS

It may seem like I really didn’t enjoy Lust for darkness but I just feel like it had more to give than it did. If you enjoy HP Lovecraft media; movies like Event Horizon or Hellraiser than you may like this game. If they expanded the lore more I would have loved it. I finished the game in 2 hours and 48 minutes. It feels a bit short given how many questions I had unanswered and it even ended on a bit of a cliffhanger leaving one more before it was all over. There are worse games than Lust for Darkness but there are better as well. Conarium is what this game could have been in my eyes. Hopefully the sequel addresses my issues. I paid $6.79 CAD for the game and it isn’t bad value for the content or length. The full price, which is $16.99 CAD right now, is a bit steep.

Graphically pleasing, it's clear that a great care was put into the body modelling and body animations, also all the otherworldy models look beautiful with their lightning and colour.
The gameplay is a little rough around the edges, especially the interaction with the various objects.
Also the story isn't very long and doesn't offer replayability, unless you want to collect every single

Lust for Darkness is an interesting title, but one that is guilty of wanting to cover up a production that needs more work with the potential sales of eroticism.

    **2/5 stars**

*GAMEPLAY*: Walking Simulator where you opens drawers, another one.

*GRAPHICS*: Very simplistic and not very imaginative, with a supernatural section not very showy and a reality very seen, but very cared.

*SOUND*: Very fair and not at all remarkable.

*INNOVATION*: Lust for Darkness dares to use eroticism with a merely interesting plot, unimaginative mechanics and poor sections.

Хорошее и не обычное приключение в антураже пугающей и тоталитарной секты, с нотками "Лавкрафтовщины".

It's not bad, i mean, the story is cliché af and the ending is nothing new, but the idea of mixing Lovecraft and lust is original and curious enough to play it (although it could have been done much better).. So, if you find it on sale...

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Blend and lifeless game.

Lust for Darkness had a lot of potential to become something unique but failed miserably. It is lifeless husk of a game that has nothing to offer.

When the game first came out, I got excited. It was supposed to be a psychological survival horror game with some erotic twist. Because I am a simple man, this sounded great. But when I played it, it disappointed immediately.

The story was an interesting concept. You receive a letter from your wife, who had gone missing a year ago. You are told that you can find her in some mansion that belongs to the Yelverton family. On your journey you discover that this mansion is home to some cult that worships some lust God and that there is apparently a place called “Lusst’ghaa”, some alternative reality. On your exploration you discover all kinds of messed up stuff, you are being chased and your sanity drops fast. Meanwhile, you still search for your wife, which left more clues in the mansion.

Eventually, you enter the strange world of Lusst’ghaa, where more mindf*cks and weird stuff is happening. And although some events and chase sequences were sort of fun, the rest felt like a weird safari tour.
Like I said, this concept could be interesting but the rest of the game in terms of mechanics, graphics, animation, length, and progressions is so bad, that it did not interest me anymore after an hour. And speaking of an hour, this game is criminally short. I finished it within three hours, and that is while I explored everything I could find.

The graphics are not great but acceptable. What kills it, is the awful and stiff animations of enemies and the environment. It looks so incredibly stiff and lifeless, I had the feeling I walked through some sort of museum, watching animatronics. Everything is scripted or “just happening” and there is almost no interaction of any kind between you and the events and environment around you. Its really bad.

In the sound department, the ambient tracks are all right, but the sound design is just as blend and lifeless as the rest of the game.

Of course, one of the reasons I played Lust for Darkness, was to see some booty and find out what this “erotic theme” was all about. Apart from some statues and people without clothes, it really disappointed. But then there was a specific room/scene of the game with a lot of people, that did, how should I put this, “things” to each other. When I entered however, I just saw twenty animatronics repeating the same movement over and over again. No different animations, no interaction with you, nothing. At this moment, I knew that all hope for this game was lost.

Besides from this, the game play itself is boring and blend. You can sneak by enemies in perfect scripted scenes, in which sneaking is the only way to progress, you collect stuff like notes and items that all feel pointless, and the progression and exploration is non existing.

The game has not much to offer and the way it is made and plays, it just feels that it does not have any reason to exist, except for some sort of tour experience trough a small and strange world. Some sort of demo that is showed off.

In the end, Lust for Darkness is a very, very short, and failed game that I definitely would not recommend for any price.

Although it delivers an abundance of horrifying imagery, the indiscriminately gratuitous Lust for Darkness falls short of delivering a truly engaging Lovecraft-meets-sex-cult experience throughout its brief three-hour play time.

Despite tricky subject and intention to shock this rather simple adventure game (with some stealth touches) managed to escape unintended comicality by delivering a solid, mature tale set in a twisted and internally consistent (therefore believable) world. [08/2018, p.80]
