  • Summary: After finding a collapsed goddess on the street, Sho takes her home. Akane is an Aragami, a goddess that only thinks about herself and causes trouble to those around her. Can Sho, with the help of Inori and Maika, help Akane reform into a perfect goddess?

    f you enjoyed LoveKami -Divinity Stage- then you may also dig this game. It just depends why you were enamored with the previous title. Those who were really into the whole idol aspect will find little in this narrative to hook them (beyond a very brief segment). If you just love this take on Japan where goddesses are as klutzy, naughty and paradoxically naive then this visual novel should still be up your alley. There’s not a lot of deep storytelling or character development, but LoveKami -Useless Goddess- should satisfy folks looking to perk up a drab afternoon.

    Light-hearted, cute and undemanding good entertainment for 6 to 8 hours.

    Like "LoveKami: Divinity stage", "LoveKami: Useless Goddess" is    Light-hearted, cute and undemanding good entertainment for 6 to 8 hours.

    Like "LoveKami: Divinity stage", "LoveKami: Useless Goddess" is visually stunning, not just because of the E-mote engine. It's well directed, has a cute story and endearing characters. The good voice actresses fit and help build the characters. Special kudos for Akane's voicing!

    Compared to the first game, it seems there have been budget cuts on this one. There are only 10 (compared to 32) music tracks that also don't reach the quality level of "Divinity Stage".
    Moreover, less care has been taken to E-mote-ing mouth animations while talking.
    Also, although a very minor issue, there's no config point that mutes sound if another window has the focus. It does mute when minimized though.

    What may turn many players down is that it's basically a kinetic novel with only one option, where you can directly choose the route for one of the three girls to follow after a common route. I like kinetic novels, so it didn't matter for me.    … Expand
