    Левел дизайн некоторых уровней максимально ущербный. В игре отвратительно реализована система прыжков. Простая механика, но тут сделана просто ужасно, из-за чего уровни с платформами проходить просто невозможно.     Lost Ruins is a pretty god game with great pixel art and visual effects on those pixels. If you like Metroidvania games-don't miss this game. Story is simply but fulfilling, controlls smooth, bunch of items with passive properties that will allow you to customise your playstyle on the go.

    Lost Ruins isn't a bad game (easy mode with controller). The story is pretty good although the ending is a bit flat. The fighting is ok. Nothing revolutionizing but well done. I really like the levels in general. Nice 2d drawings too. The side quests aren't very interesting and they provide some loots that doesn't really serve a great purpose into the game. The side quests aren't very interesting and they provide some loots that doesn't really serve a great purpose into the game. The autosave only works one time, you have to go pretty far from it to work again. That badder me a couple of times especially around the end. The music and sounds are fine. Jumping sync is a problem on longer jumps. I give 71%. Nice game with a dark tone (not for children) but with some issues here and there.… Expand

    Lost Ruins é um metroidvania que surpreende, com um sistema de combate simples porém funcional, dificuldade balanceada podendo ser jogado com bastante criatividade, eu por exemplo joguei com arma de arremesso e uma zweihander, com uso de magia quase nulo.
    - Sua história apesar de não ser o foco surpreende além de ter finais diferentes dependendo de algumas escolhas

Bezimienna heroina, chcąc odzyskać pamięć, nie ma wyjścia i musi przemierzyć ten niezbyt przyjaźnie wyglądający świat w poszukiwaniu prawdy o sobie. Cała historia jest tutaj opowiadana przez odnajdywanie przeróżnychGracz wciela się tutaj w młodą dziewczynę, która nagle budzi się w zupełnie nieznanym dla siebie miejscu. Nie pamięta ona, jak się tutaj znalazła ani kim jest. Bezimienna heroina, chcąc odzyskać pamięć, nie ma wyjścia i musi przemierzyć ten niezbyt przyjaźnie wyglądający świat w poszukiwaniu prawdy o sobie. Cała historia jest tutaj opowiadana przez odnajdywanie przeróżnych notatek/dzienników oraz interakcje z napotykanymi postaciami. Rozmowy pozwalają na lepsze zrozumienie otaczającego nas świata, z kolei słowo pisane buduje całą jego otoczkę, która może być zabawna, przerażająca lub mocno emocjonalna (zależnie od tego, kto pozostawił dany dziennik/notatkę). Fabularnie tytuł prezentuje więc całkiem poprawny poziom, nie jest to jednak historia, którą można byłoby nazwać „niesamowitą”. Jest to raczej treść, która dobrze została dopasowana do samej rozgrywki, jednak dość szybko się o niej zapomni po zakończeniu zabawy.
    Rozgrywka jest tutaj połączeniem platformówki i klasycznego hack’n slasha. Zadaniem gracza jest pokonywanie kolejnych korytarzy wielkiego labiryntu, eksterminacja pojawiających się przeciwników i zmierzenie się z kolejnymi bossami. Walka prowadzona może być tutaj za pomocą klasycznego oręża (miecze, łuki, sztylety itp.) lub dość zróżnicowanej magii. Na późniejszym etapie zabawy nie obejdzie się bez umiejętnego łączenia obu form walki, w celu szybszego i efektywniejszego pokonywania oponentów.
    Dość istotną rolę w samej rozgrywce i walce pełnią również zróżnicowane lokacje. Zależności od danego otoczenia walka może być zupełnie inna i należy nie tylko wykorzystywać atuty lokacji, co pamiętać o pewnych podstawowych zasadach fizyki. Stanie w łatwopalnym oleju i używanie magii ognia to nie jest zbyt dobry pomysł, tak jak na przykład korzystanie z zaklęcia błyskawic stojąc po pas w wodzie. Oczywiście tego typu akcje można, a nawet trzeba wykorzystywać na swoją korzyść. Umiejętne opanowanie środowiska gry to tutaj co najmniej połowa sukcesu. Co i tak nie uchroni gracza przez liczną śmiercią (nawet na najniższych poziomach trudności).
    Spora ilość zgonów wiąże się tutaj niestety nie tylko z wymagającymi przeciwnikami, ale również pewnymi niedociągnięciami samej gry. Młoda bohaterka reaguje na polecenia gracza z pewnym opóźnieniem. Dotyczy to zarówno samej walki (np. machanie mieczem czy korzystanie z zaklęć), jak i niektórych fragmentów platformowych. Na całe szczęście na niższym poziomie trudności dość dobrze rozlokowano postumenty zapisujące zabawę i leczące bohaterkę. Nie zmienia to jednak faktu, że tytuł w kilku momentach rozgrywki potrafi być frustrujący, a do sposobu walki trzeba jakoś przywyknąć. Pewne problemy można mieć również z samymi bossami, którzy niekiedy nie dają graczowi żadnej nawet najmniejszej szansy na obronę. Dużo zależy tutaj od szczęścia, bo jedna walka z bossem może sprawiać nam nieziemską trudność (ze względu na jego zdolności), a np. podczas powtarzania potyczki nie będzie on stanowił żadnego wyzwania. Ponarzekać muszę również na system zbierania przedmiotów, które w przeciwieństwie do złota nie podnoszą się automatycznie. Nie zawsze są one dobrze widoczne na podłożu i niekiedy można przegapić coś „ciekawego”. Można się tutaj również „zaciąć” i nie bardzo wiedzieć gdzie teraz się udać (mapa nie zawsze dobrze pokazuje wszystkie możliwe przejścia).
    Wizualnie lokacje, które tutaj przemierzymy na myśl przynoszą 16-bitowe klasyki. Miłośnicy pixelartu powinni być więc zadowoleni, chociaż taka oprawa ma też swoje minusy (chociażby wspomniane problemy z widocznością niektórych przedmiotów). Do pixelowej grafiki dochodzą jeszcze wspomniane na samym początku zapożyczenia z segmentu anime. Podczas dialogów oczy graczy radują ładnie przygotowane ręczne rysunki bohaterów, które wyglądają jak żywcem wyjęte z Japońskich animacji. Nawiązań do tego typu popkultury czy samej Japonii jest tutaj znacznie więcej. Zarówno w prowadzonych dialogach, nazwach przedmiotów, odnajdywanych tekstach czy wyglądzie bohaterki/bossów. Jest to również podstawa całkiem przyjemnego humoru, który powinni docenić miłośnicy anime.

    Overall, very fun, would have somehow liked more, and I think after a certain point, the magic / weapons you use can make the game significantly easier, so my first play through started hard / expected kind of difficulty, and finished almost too easy.

This is not a game where you're going to dodge everything with i-frames, but rather play around attacks and when you can. Don't come into the game expecting to dark souls roll into every attack to dodge it.
    Once you get used to the combat it feels very satisfying, especially given the different weapon types you can use.
    Story is interesting, and you get small clues to stuff, but I wouldn't call it anything over the top special.
    The special part to me were the visuals, they are quite great especially if you like the weeb/anime aesthetic. The bosses and overall enemy types are all visually great, and have good fights if you aren't feeling over the top powerful. example being, on the last boss for myself, I was easily able to just loop one of my spells over and over and not really take any damage.

    TLDR: Visually great, Combat is good and especially rewarding on the harder difficulties, could have been a bit longer, but big recommend if you really do love the weeb/anime feels.    … Expand

    Decently fun metroidvania with a lot of charming (however, not particularly deep)    SUMMARY: If you're a fan of cute and sexy, anime-inspired pixel art with decent-to-good souls-esque metroidvania gameplay, you should probably just play it, because the game is at the very least an enjoyable time with lots of visual flare that'll last you about 5-7 hours depending on your playstyle.

    Decently fun metroidvania with a lot of charming (however, not particularly deep) characters as well as well designed, cute bosses! There're a lot of skills and upgrades to find, however, they are not particularly well balanced and some combinations are blatantly stronger than others. This leads to a pretty challenging and really fun early game, though the lategame suffers if you are a min-maxer, since you will inevitably fall into an overpowered build and steamroll the second half of the game.

    The game gets some flak for being oversexualized, though I never felt like this sexualization was a detriment to the personalities or designs of the female characters as their other qualities usually outshined their overtly sexual visuals. Some of the characters are parodies of pop culture tropes and cultural phenomenons and it never feels excessively derogatory or detracts from the overall vibe of the game, so you just end up having a good laugh here and there. In short, the characters are definitely sexualized and appeal to the horny weeb crowd, but it never feels silly or like it's the main focus of the game. Basically, if you'd shy away because of the sexual themes, I wouldn¨t worry about it.

    The game looked beautiful and you could really tell that the developer(s) put a lot of time and effort into making the game look polished. The spritework is great, the designs are fun/cute and it all flows together really well.

    The story was decently enjoyable. It had some fun ideas and it was pretty well executed, but it was not fleshed out nor was it deep, I have no real complaints about the story but I'm bound to forget most of it within weeks of finishing it. Basically, it was okay.

    Music was fine. I can't recall any of the songs as I finished the game a few weeks ago, but I never felt like it was lacking. Unremarkable, but by no means an issue.

    If you enjoy cute girls and are not bothered by sexual tones and some mild degeneracy, this game will definitely scratch that metroidvania itch if only for a little while.    … Expand

    Can cute/sexy anime girls be mixed with the dark fantasy world of Dark Souls and the like? Sure… but that's no promise of a fine product. Now, there are many indies out there that try to sell through fanservice alone, but Lost Ruins is actually not one of those. Yes, it has waifu bosses with big bouncy assets, and they drop swimsuits as the reward, but to be perfectly honest this isn't the main thing here. Actual effort has been made during this title's creation, with the fanservice (or whatever you want to call it) being just the cherry on top of it all. It's just that the end result isn't really a good, or finely polished game, with the slow, cumbersome combat definitely taking the biscuit.

    Lost Ruins is nothing more than a cumbersome, unnecessarily frustrating and unbalanced video game. In short, it is a jumble of excellent ideas thrown to the wind, but which at least is a feast for the eyes.

    Lost Ruins is a very simple, but still exciting game, which offers a complex magic system and exciting opponents. Probably, by the release on new consoles, it will become even more polished, and some animation flaws and sections with jumps on platforms will be corrected. But even now, Lost Ruins delivers a lot of nice emotions and fun.
