    Even with this, it was entertaining enough, but I paused to realize the “combat” is maybe 5% of the game.

    I have four level 50 characters, and you honestly spend the majority of your time sailing around on your boat to small islands full of mindless story quests like: “kill 10 rats” just to collect the materials to boost your items to overcome whatever ridiculous gate you have placed on your character. Once you hit the arbitrary ilevel, you unlock some more story quests in which you ride your mount from point A, to point B, and press your “G” key to ignore them. All until you find yourself in the same position again—grindfest.

    The “raid” and various “dungeon” content lasts around 10 minutes each, and you are back to sailing around for rat killing.

    There are a lot of positives about the game, but I definitely cant’t suggest it if you are a traditional aarpg lover. This is an mmo, and an extremely grindy one.

    Don’t let the flashy character skills and combat persuade you…it’s very rare in this free to play, let down. 5/10. Could be an 8 with some actual decent combat and less grind.    … Expand

    It's really repetitive hahah and although the playstyle is pretty interesting it doesn't really give a sense of interaction much.

    Bom... o multiplayer desse jogo com certeza é espetacular! Finalmente um MMO que trouxe um PVP digno e diferente do padrão World of Warcrafr! Entretanto, todo o resto desse jogo é horrível! A história é tão ruim que é melhor fingir que não existe, os inimigos PVE são extremamente genéricos e as quests são chatas, repetitivas e sem sentido!     Lost Ark has too many aggressive methods to make you stay in the game and/or spend money in the game. Every system integrated are based around consuming these two from you. Game is incredibly abrasive when it comes to your time. You will find the most loyal players call LA "alt-friendly", however it is in actuality "alt-mandatory". At this point in the game there is no way to realisticallyLost Ark has too many aggressive methods to make you stay in the game and/or spend money in the game. At this point in the game there is no way to realistically reach the hardest content in the game within reasonable time unless you have several characters that you must farm daily/weekly with to feed your "main", or if you spend real money.

    The hardest content in the game is what makes the MMO part of the game amazing. This alone almost makes it worth sinking your life into depravity for. Unfortunately this part of the game, which is the most fun, is weekly content; which means the rest of the week your main content is being a farm-bot.

    If you are a new player looking to start today then keep in mind that it will take some time before you reach what the community generally perceive as fun, good and relevant. To put things into perspective for you, I have invested at least 1-2 hours farming the daily content since a week after launch. I am still at least a week behind before being able to do Valtan Hardmode (newest content at this time).

    The game will occasionally give you items (powerpass) that will speed you through the processes of reaching end game. However, as for today there is nothing in place for new players to progress faster. With that in mind if you start today, do not expect to reach late end-game before a month at the very earliest, and that being extremely generous.

    This is the worst time for new players to start the game and in all likeliness the progress you would do now would be diminished by the fact of a buff/boost is imminent to come likely in mid or late July.    … Expand

    Got this game recommended as a replacement for Diablo 4. As in progression, it is miles better than Diablo4, but that's pretty low of a bar to cross. The pay to progress aspect is so strong in this game, I wouldn't recommend any one in the right mind play this game. You will be constantly stressed and given a way out by the cash shop they flash constantly flash at you. Some vids notesGot this game recommended as a replacement for Diablo 4.     P2W as hell, once you do adventure tomes - there's really nothing left to do but boring daily chaos dungeons and what not. Bots, poor feature unlocking for NA/EU (Summoner was original launch class on every region, also was in beta, but will be available 2023?..) and more bots.

    Honestly the atmosphere is so bland it is baffling. Over-the-top animations which at first seems very nice but ends up being repetitive quickly. Insanely easy gameplay all the way through leveling, It seems like it wants to do everything and just ends up being so forgettable.

    Compré el pack de fundador para poder jugar antes, pues bien, de tres dia solo pude jugar uno debido a las esperas de los servidores, una vez que lo pusieron gratuito las colas para acceder al servidor son de cuatro horas mínimo. If carrying rocks 20 feet excites you then Lost Ark is right up your alley. Convoluted money system? CHECK! Missions between two NPCs 15 feet apart? CHECK! Waiting for a world boss to spawn and help to arrive....only toA lot of people are comparing this to Diablo. While certain things DO copy from Diablo....game play isn't one of them. CHECK CHECK!! The dungeon gameplay CAN be fun...but its so few and far between. There are some truly amazing moments...but there is too much drudgery in between. Look, when the chat is filled with requests to come help break down "THE FENCE" and you get there and realize it is just a fence that has more hit points than world bosses, you get a clear picture of what this game is underneath. The fact that its this popular boggles my mind. It shows that people are DESPERATE for anything....even doing HOURS and HOURS of non-missions and very little combat. Its sad. Your main objectives in any given area are as follows: Go here. Talk. Move object. Emote to someone. Talk to someone again. Go to a previous area, run the entire length of the map to talk to someone for 2 seconds, teleport back to quest giver. BLAH!! One mission had me teleporting TWENTY times. I didn't see combat for a half hour.

You only have a bunch of skills to use, which only a handful are fun to use, and it takes forever to unlock a new skills.     Loot is uninspired, like in retail WoW. Ulti skill is right next to the default skill, so you will waste your ulti a lot accidentally. So customizing hotkeys is required.

    this game is first and foremost an mmorpg. Busy work, sensless quests, a dog shi te story, horrible voice acting. The combat is serviceable but nothing special. The customization of skills is decent but nothing special.

    You spend most of the time doing boring side quest A to B quest endless, there's not point in killing enemies in this game rather that doing quest that are extremely boring and easy, 5 of exp for killing a monster really? Game looks beautiful, good appeal character customatization but uugh...

    Modern pay 2 win at it's finest. Make no mistake, there's a solid game hidden behind layers and layers of multiple currencies, systems and the usage of every single psychological trick in the book to make sure you trow money into the game.

    It's a good game with horrible P2W systems. Pretty much what you would expect from every MMO these days. If you want to RMT or P2W through the store, this game can be really fun. If you want to be a F2P player like I was, you are too late and you will always be behind. Go try a newly released MMO instead.

There’s nothing original to see here, it’s like a game that was designed by a committee of bean counters who have never actually played a game, they just know which games made money so they threw them all into a blender and this is the crap that came out. I know people have said “it really gets good in the end game”, but I can’t bring myself to suffer through that in the hopes that the game might get good at some point. Lost Ark feels like every other cheap, mobile ARPG I’ve ever played, and honestly, that’s where it belongs.… Expand

    Combat is irrelevant as enemies doesn´t gives you noticeable exp or drop. Same goes for Sidequest, they could be completely removed from the game and would make no impact whatsoever.

    Playing with friends makes no sense, as the campaign is so easy and straightforward that teaming up will just slow you (there are little combat, and most missions are, again, just to get from A to B for the most part)

    When you reach endgame you´ll be overwhelmed by the amount of different kinds of "tokens" to purchase different kind of stuff. And the renowned endgame content wich you can finally play with friends, will be gated. 2 tries per day.

    That being said endgame consist on running the dungeons (just 2 times per day/characters, encouraging you to make alts) to farm gear and materials to craft gear wich will enable you to get to next tier dungeon. Sounds somehow ok-ish, until you find your progression artificially locked by daily chances or whatever.

    And again, the annoying missions persist as dailies: run from A to B then go to C and talk to D wich will send you E.

    So overall: its your regular F2P MMO, now with isometric view.

    If you are into those kind of games, go ahead. Its more of the same stuff. Otherwise, stay away.    … Expand

    Edit : My opinion on the game stands, but Amazon Games is one of the worst gaming companies ever.

    I think this will go down in history as one of the best games of all times, at least in its genre.

    There's just so much hard and good work in this game, combining the best of WoW and Diablo with its own personnal touch.

    Fun combat, pretty visuals, a bit too easy and the story is bland as hell. "End" game tries to confuse you with systems and then cut your wallet. Can't give it larger than a 3 due to that. Non cosmetic micro transactions in gaming need to die. Period. Don't waste your time playing this

Don't want to invest thousands of hours into something which money can achieve in a few days. Not to mention that god awful upgrade system! Watching streamers spend thousands of dollars for upgrades to fail. Story was D tier at best, only recommend this game if you gotf2p game with plenty of content, but being someone who will never spend money on cash shops I'll never max out my gear. Don't want to invest thousands of hours into something which money can achieve in a few days. Not to mention that god awful upgrade system!     I rated 3 because of the difficulty lvl. There is 0 skill required and because of that the game gets boring fast. Ppl say the end game is good but then you have to waste 15-20hours time playing a boring click game. If only the mobs had some more health/diffuculty because the gameplay is fluid, combat is nice    The queues and stuff will be better soon enough so this review is not about that.

    I've been playing for about 100 hours now and I honestly don't think I'm going to continue. Honestly a pretty major letdown after so much relentless pushing of the game from many content creators.

    The combat starts out good, it's very flashy and meaty-feeling, but it begins to get repetitive after a bit and unlike many other MMOs it takes a very long time to get new skills, which ends    I've been playing for about 100 hours now and I honestly don't think I'm going to continue. Honestly a pretty major letdown after so much relentless pushing of the game from many content creators.

    The combat starts out good, it's very flashy and meaty-feeling, but it begins to get repetitive after a bit and unlike many other MMOs it takes a very long time to get new skills, which ends up making your character feel stagnant in terms of power.

    The races suck. Each class being locked to a single race is honestly garbage. Want to be a Mage? Well, you HAVE to be a female elf so you can play as a Sorceress then, tough if you wanted to play as any other race or as a male character. And if you thought the World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV character creators were limited, they look like PSO2 next to Lost Ark's customization.

    The story is a joke. It's not even good for a laugh, it's the most soulless basic fantasy storytelling I've ever seen in anything. Before the game EVEN STARTS you're given a backstory where your character has already killed tons of important enemies presented as a slideshow. The fact that I've heard people compare this game's story to RPGs like Final Fantasy XIV or The Witcher is ludicrous.

    I will say the game LOOKS very nice though, if you're into a game for just the graphics this is probably the best MMO on the market visually currently. There are a few graphical bugs though, mainly to do with hair (longer hairstyles clip a LOT with armor too), and some of the running animations are almost comedically bad.

    The endgame is also, from what I've seen of it, incredibly grind-y. Maybe that's your thing. But personally I think I'm going to pass. If you're a casual player MMOs like FFXIV or PSO2 are probably worth your time more.    … Expand

    The environments look good and it can be fun to play with friends. That's about where my enjoyment of the game ends. Classes are restricted by gender currently. Every single female character is in stilettos with no way to change footwear. Ultra thin with large upper bodies. Zero variation. If you play a male class you get the amine beefcake body type or you get Dante from DMC.

    I found very few classes to have an actual flow to their gameplay. It was often a series of disjointed abilities that didn't compliment each other or simply served to fill time between cooldowns of abilities that actually mattered. Every class, of it's 8 abilities you get to test prior to making a decision, had 3-5 abilities that literally did the same thing with a slightly different flair. Berserker had 5 downward slash abilities: two typical slashes, one slow one, one short hop slash, and one slightly larger hop slash. None did anything different than each other, just an animation and some damage. Why did this need to be 5 different abilities? Why not one with upgrade variations that changed what it did or how it looked? I ended up with the demonblade rogue class for most of my playtime, which also had about 4 minor variations to "two slashes" with no additional effects. Upgrading skills also seems to come down to more damage, speed, or some resistance to crowd control while mid-animation.

    The story is terrible. Voice acting probably hurts it more than anything. After about 10 minutes I found myself already skipping every piece of dialogue or cutscene I could. Which, turns out, is not all of them. Lots can't be skipped, I guess they're "too important" to the story to skip.

    Overall game bad. Just play Diablo or Path of Exile.    … Expand

    Interesting character classes, enticing atmosphere, visual attractiveness, satisfying combat – Lost Ark hit the mark on everything one expects from a good action RPG. I could feel my character’s power from the very first step in this interesting, varied world, and saw potential for one of the best Diablo’s cousins in years. It’s a pity that the MMO aspects of Lost Ark forced some compromises and simply get in the way of enjoying the satisfying Diablo-esque side.

    Lost Ark is literally great enough to re-ignite my passion for MMORPGs after 15 years. That’s not a joke, and it’s not something that I’m just saying for the sake of this review. Because of that, I don’t know that I should be reviewing this game so much as I should be thanking it. I’m incredibly happy to have finally found an MMO that I can look forward to playing every day, and, if you’re willing to take my word at all, I think you’ll find that you’ll end up the same way once you sit down with this game for yourself.
