    An average MMORPG. Not terrible, but not outstanding either. The bird's-eye view isn't unheard of. Combat is okay, I found it rather similar to TERA, with most of attacks and abilities trying to be grandiose, and big numbers flying all over the screen, although I did find killing things satisfying. You just materialize in this world and all of a sudden you are tasked with the mission to save the world. There is some kind of backstory to your character, but it feels like it's there for sake of it being there. Most of the quests are straight up unnecessary, with you having to talk to several people before you get to see some action. The only thing I found interesting are the songs your character performs for teleporting and other things.… Expand

Overall though, the game isn't as deep as Path of Exile in terms of builds, it's more of a Brawler MMO than a dungeon crawler and sometimes that's OK- not everything needs to be lifelonging progression. I notice the people complaining are ones that spends dozens of hours a day grinding and build crafting for years at a time, which is an opinion you shouldn't take seriously because if the game doesn't cater to their insurmountable free time, it's deemed garbage.     Refunded this game on Steam and I recommend you do the same, too. Boring, repetitive. Dialogue is of the most poorly written I have ever experienced. It’s like a super cheesy mobile game that everyone will forget about after a month of its release.

    The end game really opens up and let's you play in a variety of fun ways. Core combat loop is addictive. Systems has tons of depth. I've 60 hours in and will continue enjoying the game.

    I think its a really good game. Its really popular, therefore it has some server issues at the moment, but once everything settled down it will become one of the bests MMO-s out there. Dont believe the naysayers, it isnt a pay2win game.

    I've already put solid 30 hours into it, but the cash shop and clear p2w there was just very off putting. I know I know a free to play game they have to make money right, well there are plenty of games out there that are free to play and make plenty of money without impacting the gameplay balance and experience. Just because a game is free doesn't give it an excuse for the absurd cash shop this game has, and neither do I mind paying for a game or a subscription if it means they devs are not constantly focusing on how can they create a new system (slot machine) of RNG to drain my wallet.

    You might argue that the systems are reasonable for f2p, but you just need to look at the engravings system to see it's not the case.

    Anyway I decided to give it a try with Amazon at the helm since they mentioned they'll change it for western release by cutting down on the monetization, but after playing it for a bit it's definitely not the case, nothing has changed from RU to this version that I could see.

    Straight of the bat this game feels like the typical free mobile game by showering you with different currencies, items, systems and notifications all over the screen every time you do something, there are like 5 screens where you're claiming one box or another getting some new currency. Might be due to the fact that the game has been out for a few years but it still felt like a super cheap mobile game.

    The combat is okay, I would not call it great, it's made to feel impactful and it achieves that very well, but every hit you do staggers the groups of enemies you're fighting making it feel a bit boring. The best part are the bosses this is where it shines and it was the only thing that kept me playing trough tier 1 and 2.

    But that would not be enough for me to overlook the hyper aggressive p2w monetization of the game, as it's everything bad with a lot of today's games.

    The whole game has this design where it's trying to keep you playing one way or another by showering you with crumbs of loot, and making you engage with RNG systems, it just leaves a bad taste even though the game looks and plays very nice.    … Expand

    Combat moves feel flawless and flashy skills are candy to my eyes. However the story line is full of cliche and MSQ takes too long. Once you get passed that the guardian raids and abyssal dungeons are a ton of fun

    So far I have only played like 10 hours so I have only scratched the surface of the game, the graphics are nice and the characters are aesthetically pleasing, there is a lot of difference between classes some requiring more skill than others, at the start the game might be a bit of a borefest as it starts very slow, once the game starts to open and you get an idea of the world it starts to become engrossing and the mechanics addictive, I have had no issues playing with friends going on random quests, the MMO elements so far are fairly light but again I have only scratched the surface.

    So far I have enjoyed my ride but as everyone know you can only review an MMO based on it's end game, Raids and events, I just felt the urge to let people know the game is fine there is nothing inherently wrong with it as some of these reviews suggest.

    I don't know I just can't get into it, even though i'm open minded and not hating on hyped things.
    I also bought a 15$ version and I couldn't refund even though i played for some minutes because Steam said something like DLC cannot be refunded.
    Don't get me wrong, for a free game I think it's pretty good, I just can't get into it

    It's far from perfect but this is a really fun MMO. Lots of vertical and parallel progression, varied classes, fun combat, solid graphics, good voice work (especially for a localized Korean game.) If you're thinking it looks like Diablo, that's about where the similarities end -- looks. Beyond the isometric perspective, this game plays much more like a cross between Albion and Black Desert Online.

    I'm hooked, I'm out $0 and I could not be happier with the situation. Best game I've played in at least a year. I've tried pretty much every MMO (beyond the utter garbage) for the past 15 years. Not since first starting EVE have I had this much fun with an online game. Honestly I cannot imagine giving this game a zero for any reason other than being salty. Even if it's not your thing, it's at least a 5 if not a 6. If you like MMOs, I think you'll like Lost Ark.

    The best MMO I've ever played, with amazing graphics and fast gameplay, with lots of action and fun. No other MMO has delivered what Lost Ark did. The 0/10 reviews are from frustrated people, who can't get into the game on launch day because of the queues. The queues are understandable, as it's the second most played game EVER on Steam. 10/10.

    As much as I want to recommend this game, I just can't, personally I find it totally unplayable, this perspective together with the mouse movement is all very confusing and not enjoyable, I can see why people could like it, but for me it's a 0 and can't recommend it all if you are used to a 3D perspective

Ppl say the end game is good but then you have to waste 15-20hours time playing a boring click game.     Amazon is not giving a crap about EU players, out of 56 hours of game time I queued for 30+ hours and played less than 26... And after a 8 hours of queue disconnects me for server errors.
    Literally unplayable.
    Please do not buy, and do not download till they fix the servers, because the game does not exists till then.

    queues, queues, queues. server maintenance at prime time. laggy in a location with multiple ppl. Sometimes you cannot even get into a queue because 'too many ppl trying'. No character transfer, locked servers, you will never play with friends, no language servers on EU. That's all the content of this game

    Sad thing is, 16h of that time I spent in queue.

But while you in queue I highly recommend to do a research on official forum to choose the right server, because game don't show you server language and some servers are already occupied by some language communities. Oh, and the best part is that the main story quests are very easy and very quick, they get you from one area to another all while teaching you the basics of the game.     i could go on for hours how bad an akward the characters and the story are, but i think i made my point.
    Lets go to the gameplay: Well, you have a nice set of very different classes and a s*itload of nice different named skills, and spells etc.
    BUT they all do the same. just exploding and flashing while doing ae-damage to hordes of nameless, faceless, purposeless enemies while you literally cant die, as long as you have your keyboard plugged into your pc.. why tf would they even implemented cooldows and "mana" when you dont have to manage that anyway. Just smash the buttons like you feel and switch your brain off. There is not even one single spell/skill that buffs another action or does anything to make a difference to this endless stupidity. Its like a cellphone game.
    But hey, you can fine-tune the s*it out of the face of your character before you start the game. Makes sense in an iso-view game with fixed camera perspective, lol. And dont get me started with that point/click movement.
    I score it 5/10 bc, it is indeed some fun every now and then to just smash in stupid hack/slay style through some stuff    … Expand

Dungeons absurdamente trabalhadas com cenas absurdas, os boss tem vida se movimentam muito e tem uma grande variação de habilidades, o lvl up não é dificil e a gameplay não é enjoativa. O pvp e o pve são perfeitos, pvp totalmente balanceado, com uma grande variação de personagens e skills, e o pve lotado de conteúdo e dungeons para fazerUm dos melhores jogos de rpg que já joguei na vida. Dungeons absurdamente trabalhadas com cenas absurdas, os boss tem vida se movimentam muito e tem uma grande variação de habilidades, o lvl up não é dificil e a gameplay não é enjoativa.     Very poor first time user experience, well UX in general for that matter. Unsatisfying character progression, you start with too many abilities, which all feel the same, and you run across the zone to kill 4 mobs that die instantly. At least it's free.

    Compré el pack de fundador para poder jugar antes, pues bien, de tres dia solo pude jugar uno debido a las esperas de los servidores, una vez que lo pusieron gratuito las colas para acceder al servidor son de cuatro horas mínimo. Además me parece absurdo que solo puedas jugar con tus personajes en el servidor que los creas, si hubiesen dado opción a moverte libremente con tus personajesCompré el pack de fundador para poder jugar antes, pues bien, de tres dia solo pude jugar uno debido a las esperas de los servidores, una vez que lo pusieron gratuito las colas para acceder al servidor son de cuatro horas mínimo. Además me parece absurdo que solo puedas jugar con tus personajes en el servidor que los creas, si hubiesen dado opción a moverte libremente con tus personajes por cualquier servidor esto se podría haber evitado. Otra cosa que no puedo entender es que siendo un juego de Amazon, propietaria de Amazon Web Services, quien alberga todo el catálogo de Netflix no haya sido capaz de prever esto de manera adecuada para evitar colapsos como los que estamos sufriendo.     In all seriousness this game art direction is so bad, it looks pretty but missing that substance.
    Characters are very disproportionate and animation looks like from 2000 era.
    Everything about the story and music is overhyped just because there are big monsters.

    Dont understand the negative reviews here. This game is by far one of the best games ive played in 10 years. Yes there are some server issues, but the combat is really amazing and has dept. Its not just pressing 4 buttons like people say, if that is what you are doing you clearly lack skill.

    Enjoy this game, its amazing.

    Do the same thing every day, but only a certain number of times. A boring story, a boring world from the corridors, a combat system with special effects from which the eyes will flow out, control break the fingers or a gaming mouse, that's such a game.

    The real fun of this game is the Abyss Dungeon and Corps Commander Raid. The story section can be like or disliked, but everyone will enjoy it when Argos Valtan is released.

    I will never play Amazon games again. Before this game was released, people said it would be the best mmorpg, but after playing it, it's just a P2W mobile game. Over-advertising using streamers has been effective since New World, but now I won't be fooled again.

    Почему я проживая в России не могу играть в неё в той площадке в которой мне хочется играть (STEAM!). Играть в неё у Российского локализатора это себя не уважать. Это уже похоже на сегрегацию.

    Combat animations and the basic fundamentals are good to great. The Issue is there's zero depth at all to the combat. Just don't get animation locked in the red indicators and that's it.

    There are interesting battles, beautiful music, and great directing dungeons in this game. It is a very large game and I can feel the sincerity of developers.

    Extremely streamlined/boring questing, it feels like FF14 or Black Desert. Combat is impressive at the beginning, but gets old and repetitive quickly. You only have a bunch of skills to use, which only a handful are fun to use, and it takes forever to unlock a new skills.     I feel like this game was talked about as one of the best MMORPGs without having good fundamentals, the gameplay and graphics are good, but I've seen them before, the skills have very exaggerated cinematics, when in reality you do little damage and so you don't feel the skill progression. It has a very simple story

    On day three, someone had the amazing idea to introduce some patching/downtime in the EU primetime from 2 PM to 6 PM, where the headstart ended.

    This in turn led to 8+ hours of additional downtime for every player, headstart or not.

    I should add that this game is not new - it is running successfully in other regions and have been doing so for years.

    Each server in the EU region is now so full that you sit in queues for 6+ hours just to get in - and even then, you risk getting kicked from the queues due to bugs and have to start over again.

    And don't get me started on the founder pack items or characters not being transferable to newer servers with less players to alleviate some of this.

    I would easily give the game a 7-8 score even with the limited amount of playtime and content I've experienced, but as it stands, it is (literally) unplayable.    … Expand

    Holy crap. First they delay the launch and I couldnt play despite buying a founder pack, now I get 10k people in queue. Should I leave my pc on in the morning so I can play after work? It's a joke. 2 days in a row I couldnt play. If it doesnt get better tomorrow then screw it, I;m outta here.
    As for the game itself - ignore the story, it was written by a 5 year old. For voice actors it    Holy crap.     Pay2Win is there, but its not a problem to be behind in progress. Whatever.
    Just enjoy the game as it is.

    Interesting character classes, enticing atmosphere, visual attractiveness, satisfying combat – Lost Ark hit the mark on everything one expects from a good action RPG. I could feel my character’s power from the very first step in this interesting, varied world, and saw potential for one of the best Diablo’s cousins in years. It’s a pity that the MMO aspects of Lost Ark forced some compromises and simply get in the way of enjoying the satisfying Diablo-esque side.

    Lost Ark is literally great enough to re-ignite my passion for MMORPGs after 15 years. That’s not a joke, and it’s not something that I’m just saying for the sake of this review. Because of that, I don’t know that I should be reviewing this game so much as I should be thanking it. I’m incredibly happy to have finally found an MMO that I can look forward to playing every day, and, if you’re willing to take my word at all, I think you’ll find that you’ll end up the same way once you sit down with this game for yourself.
