TL;DR - this game needs some serious redesign, close to a year of work to become playable. At it's current state wouldn't recommend it even for free let alone for $40.

I'm writing this two months after 'release' - the game is in alpha state IMO. Enemy hitboxes are not clear, you can't tell the range of your weapons. I stand 1m away from an enemy and can't hit him with a two handed

Enemy hitboxes are not clear, you can't tell the range of your weapons. I stand 1m away from an enemy and can't hit him with a two handed sword.
Enemy attack animations have nothing to do with the timing of when the attack actually happens - they can not move and hit you or swing their arms / weapons and not hit you.
Combat has nothing to it - the only way not to die is do 1 attack, dodge and repeat forever.
Your character gets stuck on bricks laying in the ground so it's even hard to move around.
Movement and combat is very sluggish, there's no way to run so it takes ages to get to the end of a corridor.
Whenever you pick up any item you get this annoying slow mo and your character puts away his weapon - very annoying.
Health pickups have insave pick-up ranges, like 5m radius or so, so often you'll waste a full healing potion to heal 1-2 health points by accident.
The game does not explain anything to you gameplay wise. Tutorial messages are shown for literally 3 seconds so there's no time to read anything but the header. The fact that the font is very small and has a heavily stylized form does not help either. You pick up bunch of items that you don't know what to do with like 'erd of power', 'corrupted soul', 'kings urn'. There's no inventory so you even can't keep track of what you have and how many. There is also no way to check your current objective so often you don't know what to do.
Progression is often broken or unclear. If you die and reload your save the game locks itself in a blackscreen and you can't continue unless you restart the app. Objectives often don't update themselves, e.g. in level 1 you need to enter the beam of light at the end but if you do nothing happens. You need to move around for quite a while for something to happen.
Enemy damage is punishingly high which combined with broken hit detection, animations, locomotion issues, no feedback on ability cooldowns, random hit detection makes the game very frustating.
