May 9, 2022The game has a very promising concept, stylish visuals and a strong opening, but sadly bugs, glitches and overall just poorly designed systems leave it feeling very unfinished.
After a several glitched runs, frustrating bugs, and many unpolished encounters. I sadly cannot recommend this game at all.
As many people have mentioned, it sadly feels like an early access version. -
Nov 20, 2022Whats there is really cool but i finished it in like 2 hrs. The fighting system is fun and parrying is easy and satisfying. The tetris puzzling is novel but repetetive.

May 8, 2022There's a river, and there's loot in it, nuff said. *EDIT* so apparently not enough said...so it's a bit of fun, not something that's going to keep you enthralled for 100's of hours, but it's fresh, worth a look

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jan 29, 2024As far as graphics go, it has a very nice color palette and is mostly old school pixel graphics. The effects and lighting are very nice, but at times they can be cluttered in the heat of battle, causing you to miss hard-won loot. In the end, though, Loot River is a very addictive title that is a joy to fall into time and time again. [Issue#320]

Sep 19, 2022Loot River has addictive gameplay and you’ll want to play it again. However, there isn’t much story, which is a shame for the interesting world I found myself in.

Jul 4, 2022Perhaps the game should have stayed in the early access format as long as possible, rather than rushing to release in the Xbox Game Pass collection. Probably, after a year of patches it will be a completely different game.
