  1. This game is so flawed, so monotonous and deathly, deathly dull that I'm struggling to think of any reason whatsoever to waste your time and money on it.
  2. This game has basically been done before and been done better. Even for hardened action RPG fans who are looking for their next fix before Diablo 3 hits, it would be difficult to recommend much about Loki that would provide them with any sort of new buzz.

While it has few specific flaws, I can only recommend Loki to lovers of endless reward-based level grinding to the exclusion of all other play...and that market just ain't what it used to be.

After 3-4 hours this game is very boring. Only going and kill all stupid enemies. Locations is very bad because it look same. Only 4 heroes.....but all have different story and region to play. Graphics is not bad but enemies look similarly. Animation isn't very good.... Loki isn't bad game but too no good. My rate is 5,7/10 Full Review »

I cannot stretch enough how this game has haunted me, because I really wanted to give it a try. Instead of a fantastic mythological adventure I found myself fighting bugs and frustrating lvl-ups.
As a game it fails completely, because of the implementation scaling feature. The enemy gets stronger as you do! This means that when you start your epic quest you will spend three hits killing a wolf with your wooden axe, and 30 levels later you will spend three hits killing the same wolf, in the same location with a an upgraded super-weapon!
Further your skills are useless to level up, because for some inane reason the high-level skills and spells will progress slower than your low-level spells the more points you put in them, so the only way to do decent damage is pour all your skill points into low-level firebolts rather than your supposedly "epic" skills.

This game is atrocious. You want to like, because the setup is great: mythology, history and the ability to fight the gods themselves, but instead it becomes a teeth-grinding test of patience, and you do not play because the game is fun, but only because you want to see where the story takes you. Save yourself the trouble, don't buy this game!
